  • Girl: "...What are those?"

    Old Dome Admin: "...Our future."

  • Heal-thy? Got a nice ring to it!

  • Damn this song put tears in my eyes , where is the hope? the fate ? where is god?

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH It's dead.

    The future refused to change.

  • I feel guilty and sad when i listen to this :(

  • @Clouds095 I feel guilty 2

  • Pulgar arriba si Dross te trajo hasta aquí.

  • @ImTheSpanish Yo iba a comentar eso mismo.

  • @Franky23899 xD

  • But you're still hungry.

  • 1 Call of Duty player disliked this.

  • when you listened to this, you couldn't help but say to yourself, '...fuck I lost. Heart strings... pulling... guilt.... rising... must... play again... for the future... fuck lavos.'

  • But the future refused to change.

  • It brings back old memories

  • NOSTALGIA! SO MUCH NOSTALGIA! Such a beautiful song...

  • I love this theme , makes me feel sad but all the same ;)

  • Best Game Over theme

  • or glorious moments that will never come

  • this is the slow part in the Lavos' Theme

  • This song touches my heart.

  • So far this is my favorite song on the game. And that's saying a lot, because this game is full of great songs.

But this one is just so beautiful.

  • This theme was so perfect for where it played...In a world of ruins and death, one last hope is found.

  • To this day, this is the only thing in the world can make me cry. I didn't cry at the funeral of my loved grandpa, I didn't cry when everything seemed lost to me.

Yet THIS one masterpiece makes me cry every time I hear it, no matter the context.

  • @MurdustheWild No offense, but, there's something wrong with that.

  • @xnightshadyx Yes. There is. But it also highlights the greatness of this masterpiece, which was the point. Back to my corner now.

  • @MurdustheWild Or perhaps, those things did make you cry in a sense; only this piece is one of the few things that can make you confront that and bring it out.

    Psychology!

  • Feel how you brought the poor people some hope in the world. they look at you when you walk out like your their savior. I loved this moment.

  • Wasn't this the song that was played if your party died? I thought that was pretty funny.

  • Also I can't believe this game was never released in Europe and that it's quite hard to get a hold of a working copy on (ofcourse) an NTSC SNES, which in PAL territory isn't that easy. The soundtrack is so killer that it's taunting me. Screw emulators, I want the real thing.

  • I can't believe what a delicate tune this is.

  • I loved the future world for some reason. I just found that the way the makers of chrono trigger got you attached to the characters there worked really well.

  • Heal...thy? Got a nice ring to it.... You headed to the Factory? Go by way if Lab 32, and take this with ya. It's the key to the old jet bike. I used to play with it when I was young. Hope it still works.

They've got more powerful robots there. Take care and stay.... healthy!

  • GAME OVER, YEAAAAHHHH

  • I remember getting a Game Over and simply laying down on the ground and listening to this

  • And this is also the "Game Over" theme as well...depressing, isn't it? :XD

  • i travel through time on a set of wings

    spaceship named epoch after time

big beats dig beats from 2k5

from compromised on my hard drive

get a new home to em breath new life

like i brought life to the 8 bit canon

time to cron the crono songs

back in the matrix out of stasis

  • @Jakomancer

    sick rhymes man

  • tell a story - allegory

symbols to a bass drum and a cymbal

oh so simple the cycle cycles

    words of the spam disciple

where did i come from? question asked

im on a quest to kill the pain locked in my past

    scars abuse and insults

rubbed salt in the wound of a nerdy goon

  • now i spread seeds of hope

spread seeds of change for the future mang

spread em to doan then off to the proto dome

    a healthy man indeed

when i was a kid myself intrigued

by the lifestyle freestyled well in greed

a seed was all id need

to get up on that spaceship go warp speed

  • planted rooted im spacesuited

    suited for anything born recruited

and i tell you listen close

to the words i speak and rap the most

i stay timeless and struggle with time less

time does time and i do mine

with this machine i never age

a date with eternity years in days

  • years i played on earth i stayed

bound by the sounds of the ones i hate

ones engraved in my minds eye

told me im different and geeky right

now i done flipped it and i spaceshipped it

i jet biked it and found that i liked it

take my seeds and plant them, fight it

show that nerd life off, never hide it

  • does anyone know the tabs?

  • Beautiful...!! Gives a sense of longing for the glorious moments long passed.

  • In many ways, Cross and Trigger deal with man's destruction in two ways. Trigger places the Destruction ofthe World in the hands of outside influences (Lavos). But Croos depicts how WE are just as responsible, and capable, ofdestroying our own world. TheHydra marshes of Other World are a testament to our destructive capabilities. Wheras 2300 AD is a testament to hw catastrophes hapen through no fault of anyone.

  • 2300AD is also how we can suffer through inaction.

Doing nothing to stop bad events is just as bad as starting them.

  • SPOILERS - This is the music that plays after you bring back that seed from the storage? Very beautiful, I agree with zebrakeber1902.

I always wished to see the Future world in the state we see it before Lavos attacked, and be allowed to explore it. Or perhaps after the Future had been rebuilt.

  • Yeah, I wished that too, it was sad to just leave the people with their small hope. I also like "Sealed Door", I feel it depicts how the ruined future is forever forgotten when they go back to the past and defeat Lavos.

  • @PeyserConley It seems the programers intended to make 1999 A.D. an explorable area, but decided not to make it for some reason... =/

If you hack the game you can walk on the world map of that age! But nothing more u_u

  • @TwilightWolf032

Probably because Chrono trigger was already massive in size, and they couldnt put more into the cartridge

  • @PeyserConley possibly chronopolis in CC is the new future?

  • @miguelrodriguez007 Not possibly. It is in the new future

  • @PeyserConley but if lavos is defeated in 1999 ad, then the future would never have been ruined, then crono, marle and lucca would never meet the starving people and be motivated to kill lavos in the first place thus undoing everything. Time Paradox?

  • @reillo9 Time paradoxes are just a part of time travel. There will always be at least one and probably several by the time the time travel story ends, and they will almost never be addressed, that's just the way time travel stories work.

  • @immortalfrieza Most of the time that plot inconsistency is solved with the "alternate timeline" theory and since we all know next to nothing about time travel, or least anything that can be considered a fact, i say this is a valid plot device.

  • @DylanJo123 if my memory doesn´t fail me the official explanation was time inertia (time refused to change and it will need a big event to changed things) and the fan Time bastard theory

  • @gigaya777 i think theory is the wrong term for this, since we are unable to test this right now. I think a guess would be more suitable.

  • Spoilers? Dude, You Should Know This Already! The game's been out for over ten years!

  • There are still young gamers that may yet play this game, or even older gamers that may give it a go for the first time. Could be a spoiler still.

You could think of it like an old book, many people may have read it in the past; does this mean we should freely give away the plot without giving some form of warning? Just a thought.

I'll admit though, it isn't too likely someone who will want to play the game for the first time will find this video/song and read my comment, who knows though.

  • @dimeuno

well play CT:CE and you will see a kind of Future World.

Chrono Compendium really did a great work without being payed

  • That melody gives a little hope in the ruined world.

  • Great audio, thanks for uploading.
