  • IT's hard when you loose a pet if had to go through it at least 8 times since 68, and it never gets easier. It hurts me for sure but it hurts me more to see them suffering and no amount of drugs can stop the pain.

  • omg I cried sooo much!!!

  • so why the fuck did you put the cat down? i think putting animals to sleep is so horrible, no matter how much pain they are in every one deserves to live until you or they die them selves, you keep fighting for life until you can't possibly fight anymore...death does not have a set day in and clock for someone who can't make a choice them selves like the animal.

  • @ArmyRescue2

Please go get terminal cancer, really painful cancer.

Then have someone tell you this, and not let you out of a padded room until you died.

    Fuck off, dude.

  • pets, regarding of what type u have, keep us away from being lonely, so this is a good way to let them know how much we care bout them

  • Both of my cats died in my arms on the way to the vets :'(

One was just going to be checked out because he was acting strangely and he died of heart failure in the car.

We knew our girl cat was going to die the day before she did, but we didn't want to take her to be put down, she hated the car and we didn't want her last few minutes to be traumatic. We finally decided that we should take her to the vet, and as soon as we had moved her to car, she died in my arms.

I miss them both so much :'(

  • this broke my heart as my cat has got a tumour so i have this to go through yet

  • I just don't get the people who say to put down their pets, because they're in pain. You don't do the same thing with human beings, then why with pets?

  • @DjScudMissile Animals don't "understand" pain like humans do. They can't help themselves and don't know how to work through the pain like we do. No reason to keep them in pain and suffering. You're right, we don't take a human's life, but this is different and can't be compared in that way. If you've ever seen an animal in pain that can't help themselves, you might understand. Better to let them die with dignity as this cat did! Held in loving arms...RIP little guy!

  • i cried :(

  • This is a Dr with amazing animal ethics. This is how all euthanasia should be. It gave me a bit more comfort seeing this because we put our cat to sleep 2 weeks ago. The sedative is like when we go under the knife. They feel nothing when the euthanasia is injected. Im an animal care graduate turned lawyer. I turned to law because I myself could NOT perform this so I just recieved my diploma but never practiced.

  • I am crying, i'm so sry that had to happen ;'( i hate it when animals die... but at least he's ina better place :')

  • @xForeverTeamEdwardx yeahh cat going straight to hell burn again

  • Although I agree with most of the euthanasia methods discussed in this video, do not let an vet convince you that a shot directly into the heart is not painful. I have seen vets use that method and watched as the animal cried out in pain. Also, I've often seen vets miss the heart entirely, causing them to have to stick the animal deeply two or three times to get it right.

R.I. P. Sonny Boy. I'm glad you were loved in this world.

  • What a powerful video. I am sitting here crying as I type this. I'm really sorry for your loss.

  • This got me thinking about how I had to put my dog to sleep in January, which made my emotions go. I never want to do anything like that again.

  • wow man im sorry im deeply im deeply sorry man very sad R.I.P.

  • this made me cry poor cat

  • :[

    this made me cry

i always hate to see a any animal die

even when i find dead wild animals i cry.

but he is now in better hands :']

  • that must be so heartbreaking ;\ making me sad just to watch . xxx

  • Beautiful cat along with a beautiful documentry. So sorry for the loss of this precious little life. What a wonderful way to pass onto a new life in the heavens. <3

  • Yes, a sedative first is the best way to euthanize an animal. I found out the hard way when one of my parent's dogs fought the euthanization needle which is much larger. He kept kicking with his backlegs to stop the painful injection. I told the vet to stop and give a sedative first. Afterwards, the rest of the procedure went well. ALWAYS have your vet give a sedative before the final needle. It will take mountains of stress off of you and your pet.

Good vet! Rest in Peace Sonny Boy.

  • this is a humane way to end the suffering of an animal. I wish we could just "heal" animals or humans with ..our knowledge of medicine.
