David Bowie, the sex God, the beautiful songwriter, the diligent film director, the greatest scriptwriter, the purest voice, aged so gracefully. :} I am in love! :D
This beautiful music was composed by Kurt Weill, from the berliner requiem , written with Bertold Brecht in 1929. The poems refers to Rosa Luxemburg, murdered by the police in January 1919. A few days later, her body was found in a canal. I've uploaded another song on this theme by Milva.
Another brilliant and passionate performance, only David Bowie could make me feel this good even when singing a song with such depressing subject matter. His voice is so amazing, it's like being wrapped in velvet.
My Mom used to go to all his house parties, and hung out with him when she lived in LA, they new eachother quite well. My Mom loved him, and thought he was the most beautiful man on the face of the earth. I'm a guy, and I must have inherited that from her, because Bowie is the sexiest guy on the face of the earth, and has a beautiful voice
@thehumandidge unless she got in a carzy accident, yes she's still alive, she's a little younger than Bowie (63). I have all her bootlegs and videos of Bowie concerts, it's pretty cool, sad I can't see him like they did back then
As good as this is I never understood why they made a video for this track rather than the Baal EP's more upbeat and strange opening track "Baal's Hymn"...
