Jazz Bass: Fender Standard VS Shelter SX SJB-75

How are the SX jazz basses? I have the squier VM jazz and I was thinking about getting an SX Jazz.

@bordinco90 if you can, have them both! Almost all SX that I've played, I thought it was a very decent bass for the price!! I love my Squier VM but I can't stop thinking of getting another SX!!

@alebandaum não trocaria esse SX por nenhum Giannini. Eu só vendi ele porque estava com 2 jazz bass em casa, e ainda sim me arrependi, pois ele era muito melhor que meu Fender. Hoje tenho apenas um Squier VM Jazz, muito melhor que meu ex-Fender. Mas sim, se vc comprar um SX velho, dos bons, eu troco em um Fender, basta vc pagar a volta.

@maravilhasa depois de um tempo que fui analisar melhor, hoje eu prefiro o SX, e até bateu um arrependimento de ter vendido. São dois baixos com uma diferença de preço absurda, porém, o SX era muito melhor, madeira melhor e tudo mais, só perdia nas ferragens e na captação, que a original tem o ganho muito baixo.

Levando em consideração que as cordas do Fender perfeu brilho, achei melhor o Fender...

@xandefema plugado diretão no pc. Na real, tirando os caps magros do SX, ele tinha mais som.

Cara, não sei se é você que tem um squier vintage modified jazz bas, mas entre ele e o SX qual é melhor?estou indeciso, muitos dizem que se trocar caps e etc do sx fica melhor

@Shadic159 Então mano, respondendo tuas dúvidas: O SX é relativo. Tive 3 SXs, 2 bons 1 péssimo. Se tu testar um SX bom sem mudar nada, so a mudança de cordas e uma boa regulagem já deixam ele melhor até que um Fender (eu acho). Repara no meu vídeo do Rush, música "Leave That Thing Alone", eu tinha gravado com um SX legal, tinha conseguido um puto timbre, que não saía no Fender. Tem SXs bons e ruins, tu fica mais atrelado à sorte. Ja os Squier VM são quase todos bons, mais bons que ruins.

@ladder12498 o Fender eh legal sim. Ja tive 3 SX e esse do video foi o melhor que tive e ele tirava timbres que eu não consigo tirar no Fender. Da uma olhada no timbre que consegui no meu video com titulo "Leave That Thing Alone". Esse timbre do video não sai do bem do Fender. Saudade do SX... barato e bom!

The Fender is definitely better, but I was thinking about getting an SX Jazz bass because they are so cheap (I have a Fender Jaguar right now). The SX sounds good enough for me. Any complains about the feel or any physical traits?

@zebra123, well buddy, I would recommend you to watch my "Leave That Thing Alone", recorded with the same bass. I think that a pickup replacement would do the job for the SX. I liked that bass a lot and also feel some regret after selling it. =(

We can´t realice seeing a youtuve video the diferences between those basses. What can you tell us about it after testing both for a long time? Thanx!

@eamarilla, after a long time is nearly impossible, since I already sold that old SX. All I can say, is that the sound in the video is recorded directly through a external audio board, using Guitar Rig as a amplifier. Not just the pickups are hotter, but the "touch" of the Fender is also much better. For me, the Fender Rulez! =)
