  • This song sounds sad and serious, but the lyrics are kind of silly,in a good way

  • It's sad because it's true. People would rather die doing what they love than die fighting in a war that they for the most part are not involved in. The saddest part of wars is how innocent civilians get caught up in it and die simply for being there.

  • I love listining to Voltaire. How the hell can someone be so talented? It amazes me. I love the usage of the violin in his songs. But im just getting started in the world of Voltaire, and I cant wait to hear more!

  • i love this song !!

  • Why do I adore him so much? It may be because of his ability to write amusing and witty lyrics as well as thoughtful and serious ones. It may be because of this quality in his voice that draws you towards him, makes you want to hear more of him. It might be because the melodies are never dull nor repetetive.

It might be because he has the looks that wake up the hidden fangirl in nearly every girl I know. XD

  • @Chmurzastasan *blushes* ; )

  • @Chmurzastasan Yes indeed XD

  • @StShigo and reveals our storyteller as the young man in the vision. The group suddenly scatters as a bomb is dropped and the storyteller dances through a battlefield, playing his song and dodging fire until a bomb drops and explodes right in front of him. Lying there, with his last bit of life, he plays the end of his song and his hand goes limp, fading to black. So yeah, pretty obvious.

  • @StShigo I see a group of people gathered around a silhouetted man as he plays his accordion. As he sings, the vision changes to show a young man in his home, chided by his mother. When the house burns, the young man sits upon the ground, the accordion in his hands replaced by another dying figure that repeats his mother's words. The scene changes again, as if flashing back in time, to the young man reasoning with his mother. As the young man in the vision plays his song, it fades again (cont)

  • I cry almost every time I hear it. It's just so vivid and somehow meaningful to me. I want to die drawing.

  • I adore this version so much. I honestly get such a vivid animated picture in my mind when I hear it. I only wish I had the artistic talent to bring my vision to life.

  • @Hillaviina Yay! Finland! It rocks :3

  • @Hillaviina Oh dear, I live in Finland too, and I'd say you should google a shop called levykauppax. It's a finnish shop where you can order some of Voltaire's CDs to your home, or to their shop nearby, that are in Kuopio, Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Lahti and Turku. You should try it out if you still haven't found any other place :)
