  • Hell, if you think about it:

    We Black Americans are mostly "mulatto." Or "mixed" to take the negative edge off things.

    But you're still mixed. There was cream in the coffee SOMEWHERE down the line in many black persons' family tree.

    But yeah. Mulatto is some cold shit. And it deserves BOOTS TO ASSES!!!

    I hate "half breed" too. lol

  • you are a mulatto not white or black

  • I do not find Mulatto disrespectful. I am White and Black.

  • Actually people are animals and how you hating on the word Mulatto with a pack of cancer sticks in your hand? You ever looked up the definition of black? You could say it has a bunch of negative connotations. You'll find that with many words. Mulatto and Mulo are not the same. One refers to a mule the former does not. Mulatto comes from muwallad [half-blood].

  • I don't even bother with "mulatto". I just say nigger.

  • @nik78757

    Ha ha, you freaking pigskins never cease to amaze me!

  • @gatheringleaves Well the television show "the amazing race" should be about us :D

  • @celena332 -So many darkies express their hate for biracials, which is nothing but jealousy from them. I am not scared to say it! Darkies try to make biracials feel guilty for claiming their white side. They are the ones who need to get a grip and stop trying to express their views of hate against lighter skinned blacks.

  • You are just other stupid biracial

  • I am from the caribbean where this is not a negative and we call mixed race people like myself mulattoes all the time it is what it is, we do not obsess or dwell on these things or race the way americans sadly do.Poeple in america sometimes call me black even thought I am the color of cafe au lait coffee i dont get bugged about it either!

  • who cares

  • @AveolarD

    I care AveolarD because I am a mulatto of white, Indian, and Black ancestry and I like hearing about topics like this

  • @gatheringleaves Sorry to hear about your genetic handicap.

  • lol menthol cigarettes... wigger...

  • I call myself Mulatto, because I don't consider it offensive. It is accepted by many people who have a black and white parent to describe themself as. And actually, the origin for the term is uncertain. Whether it meant that then or not, I'm not thinking of a mule when I use it to describe myself. Biracial is just to general of a description. Really, the same thing can be said as to why would someone call themself "black" when their skin is closer to brown. Some people find that offensive too.

  • @Ilovemesomeaaw

    My mistake, "too" general.

  • Hikaru2g- Too much jacking off is not good for your health-so long!

  • If you assault someone for calling u a malutto in real life you will be ARRESTED they won't because we have freedom of speech in America so while your hauled off to jail and possibly sued for assault remember that you fought someone off a term that correctly describes you. If someone calls a retarded person mentally challenged does it change what they are? If someone calls a crazy person mentally ill does it change what they are? Screw PC I'd call u it 2 ur FACE want to hit a girl? Bring it!

  • 1st off IDIOT! and I hate 2 use that word BUT here is where it needs 2 b used ALL human bings r BIOLOGICALLY ANIMALS "I don't like being called mulatto because I'm no animal." Then what the hell r u a plant? Im so sick of human bings with this ridiculous logic.Technically ur a animal. I am not talking about psychologically but BIOLOGICALLY u can't escape the fact that we r all animals. So therefore since ur a animal who is mixed we can call u tht. Biracial and mixed are just PC terms 4 mulatto

  • bcstylz-It has already came 2 this day, as far as I'm concerned, real dark skinned people can be so hateful & feels that the world is evolved around them & that you owe them something, because they are too ignorant 2 understand that we as bi's come from the same oppressing roots from them! They feel that they are the only ones who can holler victim about their heritage, when bi's can holler victim as 2 what is happen'g 2 them this day!!!!

  • @charlene12341234, Actually the one that's hateful is you. So stop playing the blame game, being racist, threatening kids and grow up. Through this discussion you've called me names, became angry and hateful just because I said "Everybody, including African/African descent can have long hair" You try to use "genetics" and "Blame people with dark skin" just to shield your racism. Then you to go threaten people including kid will get you arrested. So that blame game won't work with the cops

  • @Hikaru2g -Yes it will work with cops, when they see that u insist on hav'g the last word with no revalence! u stupid moron, u need 2 stop harrassing me! If I know what I know & undstn. genetics, I have a right 2 express it. I can't help bcause u choose 2 see it as racism-ur a stupid idiot! u don't scare me with the cops! u sound incompetant as hell! Don't even know what time it is! u choose 2 wast ur time trying 2 make a point with stupid incompetant pot shots! What a pathetic indi u r!

  • @charlene12341234, It's a fact that you can get arrested, the one that needs to stop harrassing and sending hate messages is nobody other than yourself. All you have done including right now it cuss, name call, and spew racist filth. This is a human nature thing if you spread love? You'll get love in return. If you spread hate? You'll get hate in return.(Which is what you're currently doing) You're wondering why you're getting a bad reaction? You need to grow up

  • @Hikaru2g -No what ur dum ass needs 2 do is stop posting me, then u would not be wishing I was N jail! U stupid freak, I don't give a fuck about ur reation! I just wish u would stop posting me. I am not posting u; I am responding 2 ur stupid ass! So do something else better with ur time. other than wishing someone was in jail 4 their views!

  • @charlene12341234, Well I did give you an easy solution stop posting racist comments and stop threatening people. Did I say "I wish you would go to jail?" No, I clearly stated that if you keep on making these threats to people? It will land you in jail. It's not an "if" it's "when"

  • they are not animals so what are they?

    plants? or bacteria

    get off cocaine dude

    wtf

  • I call myself mulatto because I want to have a word to describe myself racially other than "bi-racial" which is a very broad term. I dont care about the orgins of the word because the meaning of words can change.

  • race is a real thing my friend we are animals fact

  • why do people say nigga? same difference. I'm MULATTO and I don't care. It's all in light fun. Seriously... no one takes the time to educate on the 'term' and to be quite honest - i don't care. You're too tense.

  • I think you have to look further than the Spanish meaning.

    The Spanish and Portuguese word muladi is derived from Arabic muwallad. The basic meaning of muwallad is a person of mixed ancestry, especially a descendant of an Arab and a non-Arab parent, who grew up among Arabs and was educated within the Islamic culture.

    So it really depends how far you look back into the etymology of the word.

  • I'm personally not offended by the word "mulatto", but I would rather be called biracial. I don't use the word when referring to others though b/c I don't know how they'll talk. If you think about it bmatt, why do we identify by any racial term? Black, negro, colored, etc. They're all slave terms that were created with the intent of being negative.

  • @TXrangers100 damn... so truuueee

  • @ Bmatt 10 . ) I actually had a girl tell me she knew what what it was like to be biracial because her great great grand ma was white " Can you believe that shittt ? It took every fiber of my being to not burst into laughter and tell her " Honey, you seriously have no freaking clue what it feels like to be Biracial . ROTFLMAO sarcasm >>> she knows what it's like to be biracial smh Pleaaaassseeee

  • @ Bmatt 9. ) And usually the person thats saying that has 5-10- maybe even as much as 15% admixture. WTF. I'm like.. " How can your experience be like mine ? Do you have 2 different race parents ? " and their like... " No. but my great great grand ma was this or that. .

  • @ Bmatt 8. ) I find it insulting because it is NOT your normal everyday experience that your typical everyday person experiences . I mean it's bad enough that society wants to act like we dont even exist ( especially when you're mixed with Black ) but now when people use that " everyone is mixed " crap It's like saying " your experience as a mixed person is null and void because Your racial experience is no different than mine since we're all mixed anyway "

  • @ Bmatt 7. ) It seems like the people that say " We're all mixed " use it as a tactic to basically say... " So you really have no right to talk about the experience of being mixed or to identify as mixed/Biracial for that matter because everyone has that experience cause " everyone is mixed and if you're Biracial than everyone's Biracial cause " Everyone is mixed . " I say BULL SHIT

  • @ Bmatt 6. ) It's not like their going to have a struggle with the racial identity process because of that little itty bitty 10 percent LOL I just hate it when people say everyone is mixed as in everyone is " Biracial " because everyone is NOT Biracial . I feel when people use that " Where all mixed " It seems as if they are trying to marginalize the experience that comes with being first generation mixed as just the normal typical experience of your everyday person.

  • @ Bmatt 5. ) I mean it's not like they are going to have the mixed experience in life. It's not like their going to grow up with 2 different race parents it's not like there going to even be asked the " What are you question " or " What are you mixed with " question. or the " what do you consider yourself question "

  • @ Bmatt 4. ) Someone that has mixture thats far back as slavery for example is more than likely not even going to know about it or if they do it's not like they are going to connect with 10% when 90% of their race is coming from one race and also if the mixture is that far back how can you connect with it when the mixture got there from rape ? You mean to tell me you can connect with the white slave master raping your great great great grandma . LOL

  • @ Bmatt 3. ) And you say everyone is mixed okkkkkk that may be true as in if you have even as little as 1% of another race in you technically you are mixed. However, not everyone is mixed to the point that is commonly known as being biracial or mixed race. I mean someone that is say like 10% something else i wouldn't look at as another fellow biracial person ( fellow human YES, but not a fellow Biracial person ) like I would you or myself.

  • @ Bmatt 2. ) And if you dont have a problem with Black's calling themselves " Nigga's " then I ask why the double standard? I've just seen so many Blacks on You Tube dislike when Biracial people refer to themselves as Mulatto but have absolutely no problem saying the word Nigga every other word.

  • 1. ) @ Bmatt I Want to see you do a video on Black people calling themselves Nigga's next. I mean if you express your dislike for mixed people referring to themselves as mulattoes because it's so - called negative then you MUST have a problem with other Blacks calling themselves Nigga's as well ( Being called a Nigger wasn't even equal to being called a human since back in the day the slave matter only believed Blacks were 3/5 of a human being . ) "

  • My mom HATED being called a mulatto, mostly because of the way in which it was used in the racist south. I, on the other hand, use the word often. I'm not offended by the words mutt or mongrel either, and am probably unique in that respect lol. Many people LIKE the idea of having their own category since they don't feel they really fit in any of the others. And if it means embracing a negative term, to some it's better to be something than nothing. It's "a race", and that's why it's appealing.

  • hey matt this is ms m from work. lol. we are part of the animal kingdom homosapians

  • There are people out there that use the word Mulatto to describe themselves. There are people that want the Mulatto to be a "new" separate race or nation..The term Mulatto I can agree on it meaning "Mixed", but outcast is a bit far. Don't snap on the word Mulatto as far as I know it ain't a derogatory word. In the end I think people are by law aligned to the race/nation of their father, (not skin tone).

  • American isn't a race. I think it makes them feel better about themselves. I know that they are mixed, but they usually can't pass for the non-black race. If the police are looking for a black man with glasses then mastergunner99 is getting stopped, lol. Sorry mastergunner99, but you are at the top of my suggestion list.

  • @CornellNava um, there is still a campaign to remove the term "Red Skin" from the Washington football team's name.

  • @bcstylz You know what? You are correct. I stand corrected. My bad. I have a video clip I need you to see. Since viewing the vids on the YouTube, I have since joined myself. This move on my part is "enlightening" me to the right or more different views. I must have forgotten, because it happens that at time I speak "black" and other times I speak from a so-called "white' or "mulatto' perspective. Choices, choices. Get back to you later.

  • @CornellNava

    Are you talking about the video where the lady calls herself "cocoayan" (I could be wrong, but it is something like that) ? I like the word black - it has so many layers to it. I don't care what people call themselves (I don't want a non-black person telling me what I should call myself). I just don't like it when said term is used to mean better than black.

  • mulatto

  • I don't understand, i just looked the word up in the dictionary online and it only had two means. They were 1 : the first-generation offspring of a black person and a white person

    2 : a person of mixed white and black ancestry

    I didn't see anything about mules or horses on there...

  • People don't know the word's Spanish history. The new, modern associations are positive and in the modern Caribbean/Hispanic culture the word has no negative connotation. That says a lot. It means in the source language the word is positive. It's used with pride. I agree 'American' should be claimable. Let's do that--all of us born here.

  • Interesting. Here in Canada, we have Metis'..........they are a mixed breed, like yourself, but never, ever complain about it............they are proud of their heritage, and loudly proclaim the name. Different strokes, I guess.

  • When I think of mulatto, I think of sexy mo-fo's like yourself that have the best of both races. So for me that word is positive...lol. That said, you just educated me on the original meaning of the word, but I don't think it means the same thing these days.

  • Your not mulatto your black because your father is black, your a mulatto if you have a white father.

  • Damn right man, I don't want anyone calling me a damn mule. People can say that it comes from the Arabic "Muwallad ", but if you know anything about language it's obvious that it is from the root "mula", which means mule. I hate the word and it is sad that it has gained so much popularity.

  • Some people say it comes from the word "mule" and others say it comes from the Arabic word "Mullawad". I don't know. But if someone doesn't want me to call them that I won't. I am not sure where it comes from but to many it is offensive.

  • u r a mulato

  • I'm hispanic and I don't like being referred to as spanish as I believe you said. is that what you meant?

  • Well actually my multiethnic dude, Mulatto comes from arabic ...The word actually comes from what the Moors used to call the mixture between the arab and the european...The origin of the word mulatto has no english roots as it actually comes from the arabic word Muhllawaad.(forgive me if I spelled it wrong) Makes sense because the Spanish actually bared fruit to the first "mulatto's" in the colonies...

  • in Cuba We have moustly MULATO,and it is nice if you are a MULATO.

    Dont feel bad if you are a MULATO,feel cool.

    MULATOS ARE THE HOTTEST!!!

  • I never really had a problem with the word Mulatto..But you make a good point..

    I feel the same way about "half-breed", now that made me snap on my own Father when he used it....

  • lol don't snap on your father, youll just get hurt.

  • I didn't know people were still using that term, we should really stop using all the old colonial words to describe both black and biracial people.

  • Forgot to add: Honestly, you are one beautiful mulatto man.

  • Yeah, but brotha, I've heard you refer to Blacks as "niggas" (niggers) in many of your vids. THAT word came about from Blacks being hung from trees like fruit in the South. ... So you're acting hypocritical here.

    And as far as the word "mulatto", you obviously have something against animals ;) I am mulatto and enjoy the term, and see nothing wrong with the origin of the word. It sounds melodic. Zebras are beautiful. I'm one of those too :)

  • @CheezInspector Your ignorant yourself;not all blacks go around calling themself niggas or niggers.Only blacks with a slave mentality are hypocritical,and from the hood.He is right...You would never call someone or label someone after an animal if they were the offspring of an asian or mexican.Most of these terms like mulatto,niggas,etc were created by low class people who couldn't even read in the south.

  • @oramikleepunk, wrong. The etymology of the term "mulatto" is uncertain, unlike the word "nigger". But some dictionaries and scholarly works trace the word's origins to the Arabic term "muwallad", which means "a person of mixed ancestry". Muwallad literally means, "born, begotten, produced, generated; brought up," with the implication of being born and raised among Arabs, but not of pure Arab blood. No racial slur there. Suck on that ;)

  • @CheezInspector My sentiments exactly. And according to my evolutionist learning, we all are animals. Futhermore, we all originated from Africa. Look on the inside and be a model for that, rather than repeat the lessons the so-called slave-master taught us about race. Hello!!!

  • yeah ive never used the word because i wasnt sure if it was offensive but glad i know now.

  • My Friend u are naive u take ur shirt off and make some gay ass view of what a word means u are being raciest and stupied I am a MULATTO and I am proud and Dick face a White person is A Caucasian

    An African is a Africonoe an Asian a Mongol they are just Names so get over it Damn i swear always gotta be someone trying to be THE SHIT. Nigga\

  • Man my Dictionary Webster says mulatto is

    n., pl., -tos, or -toes. 1. A person having one white and one Black parent. See Usage Note at octoroon. 2. A person of mixed white and Black ancestr

  • bullshit. mulatto means coffee with milk

  • Spanish also coined the term 'mestizo' to those who are mix native american and european.

  • this is a great vid. it actully took a dark skin man to explain to me that it basically means your half donkey. it was used to describe the kids of raped black people from spanish (spain) settlers. And derived form the word "mule" it is a spanish/ portugese word but is used to describe 1 black parent and 1 white parent for some reason. it is actully very offensive and i suggest you do some reasearch and change how u describe yourself

  • Talk to that idiot BI RACIAL Tiffany! I hate her and her mulatto diaries.

  • @CarmelU2fan

    I can understand not agreeing, I can also understand feeling uncomfortable; but hate? Do you really hate her? Why? What is there to truly hate? She's mixed and wants to be able to say that without people attacking her for claiming to be what she is. She hasn't denied her black heritage or white heritage, she has embrace it all, good and bad. What exactly is there to hate in that? Why hate a person that doesn't have self-hate? This doesn't make sense.

  • @econdom1 You must be a fan of hers. I stick by what I say I hate her and I wish she would stop with those insipid vlogs.

  • @CarmelU2fan

    I'm not a fan of her, but I do like the fact that she is being real with herself about who she is. No one chooses to be mixed, you either are born mixed or not. A person that doesn't practice self-hate would have no problem accepting everything that they are, good and bad. Isn't that what most people want nowadays, to have self-haters stop hating on themselves? Hate her when she start denying something of her, not if she shows pride for everything that she is. Doesn't make sense.

  • @econdom1 Yes, I do hate her. She annoys me to no end. I've tried to listen to her and see her views. I don't see her embracing anything. I see her trying to justify, explain and separate herself from people black and white. She lets her race define her and to me that is nothing to be proud of. Who wants to be know as Biracial anything, I would want to be know by who I am not my race. I am done talking to you about this. I cannot stand her and I never will.

  • @CarmelU2fan

    OK, I know this is late, but you must be talking about Biracial Tiffany. Funny how mixed people seem to be so focused on their racial mix. I don't know any people of any race that use their race as an adjective. However, if it makes her feel good, then so be it.

  • @bcstylz -Black people use their race as an adjective all the fucking time! I agree with bmatt820. If this word MULatto comes from a MULE & a horse, then it is degrading 2 use that shit 2 describe a catagory of people N which white people with the English language decided 2 call something N which they themselves created! U black individuals just follow whatever white people put out there!

  • @charlene12341234 Yeah, black people do use black as an adjective. Actually "black people" is using it as an adjective. I don't care if people call themselves Mulatto. I call people whatever they want to be called. I knew a girl in middle school that like to be called bitch, so I called her bitch when I saw her. Why does Mulatto bother you so much? If that makes them feel warm and comfy then what's it to you?

  • @bcstylz -I guess u did not read my previous comment-Mule & horse; who wants 2 b associated with a mule?

  • @charlene12341234 Maybe mixed people don't care about the word being associated with a mule. I understand you, but if they want to be called that then call them mulatto. People have all types of reasons for the labels that they choose for themselves. I knew mixed people when I was growing up, but none of them referred to themselves as mulatto. Maybe it is empowering to them. I don't know, I have enough issues to deal with by being black, I can't handle another group's issues, too.

  • @bcstylz -I understnd what u r saying, but since I know where the word derives from-a MULE and a horse-I wish not 2 b associated with a mule. I was just responding 2 ur statement about using a race label as an adjective. I don't know of any other part of speech that a race label could be used other than an adj.

  • @charlene12341234, Either one or the other way it's not going to excuse your racist behavior

  • @Hikaru2g U have no grounds or proof 2 say that I'm a racist-I am racially conscience of how alot of ignorant people view biracisim-they r very closed minded, only think'g on 1 side of things-Me rebuk'g this or speak'g facts about genetics doesn't make me a racist! I have no bad intent 2 harm anyone bcause of their race. I don't overlook or deny or dislike someone bcause of their race;I merely speak on how some blacks tend 2 treat biracial people-how they don't like them simply 4 b'g biracial.

  • @charlene12341234 Oh, just wanted to point out that black people don't use the term Mulatto. Black people refer to mixed people as black. Mixed people refer to THEMSELVES as Mulatto. Black people look at it like your dad's side of the family is having a family reunion - yeah, you have your mother's side, but this is a gathering of your father's side of the family.

  • @bcstylz -1rst off ur making too many assumptions 2 begin with, you don't know what race my father is! Biracials shouldn't just stress their black side of things! I don't care how white people look at it, & wish 2 lump us all in the same bucket! They are very ignorant about racism, anyway! U put this N a race bag, by stat'g that black people don't say "mulatto" I never stated that only black people called biracials-"mulattos"!

  • @charlene12341234 The father thing was an analogy and didn't involve race. I was actually thinking of my family, not a mixed one. Black people are just recognizing the black part of a mixed person, not denying them the other side. My point was at a family reunion most people are only half in that family, but nobody goes crazy and insists everyone recognize the other side of their family. Why can't biracial people stress their black side? Who gets to determine which side someone stresses?

  • @bcstylz -It depends on what side the biracial individual was raised on, & what side the biracial child chooses 2 except! No 1 can make that decision, but the biracial indi. themselves. This is what society does not accept- the fact that a birac. can choose. This is what people resent! The fact that a biracial person can choose-as 2 what race they feel at best going with or going with both-it doesn't matter-it's whatever they choose!

  • @charlene12341234, You referred African/African Americans as "Darkies" and the "N-word" so you're a racist and you have 0 tolerance to African/African Descent and people with dark complexions so you're a racist and you have made racist comments left and right.

    Heck you just called the other members the N-word so don't give me that "I'm racially conscience" so you're just a racist period

  • @Hikaru2g -u don't even undrstnd what was meant when I said that I was "racially conscience " of how biracial peoplp were being viewed by ignorant individuals; I did not mean 4 u 2 take it as I was stating that I am morally conscience about race, period! I'm not trying 2 win a fuck'g brownie, u ignorance, Yes! darkies is what I said and it's what I meant!!!

  • @charlene12341234 That's been my point all along. Maybe people that are comfortable with both sides like the label "Mulatto". You said "Biracials shouldn't just stress their black side of things". People have all types of reasons for choosing one side over the other, not just which side they were raised around. I think many black are worried that it will become like Brazil or the Dominican Republic, where the whites hate blacks and the mixed people hate blacks - it's coming.

  • In my country its diferent from yoursand by this im not saying that we acept beeing called after animals...no.. but its word has lost its etimological reference...it doesnt matter and it doesnt bother anyone. If think about it there are a billion words or expressions that had a cariture meaning and now that same meaning is non existent.

    anyways...really liked hearing your point..really liked it!

    p.s. sorry about my english :P

    kiss, Lara

  • ill give you an example: i know the word "nigger" is very pejorative to black people, but that word comes from "negro" and "negro" in my country means a black person, on the other hand if you translate the word " black" to portuguese (language we speak) its like calling someone a "nigger".

    the reason im saying all of this is beacause sometimes we think that because our ways of living and perceving things are the same everywhere but no.

    to be continued...

  • I agree that the word came from a awful paradigm wich compares blacks to donkeys etc... but you know...words evolve. And the impact of a word is diferent depending on the cultural backround, history context, region...etc.

    to be continued...

  • hey!! Well as i was wactching your video i coulnt stop wondering how the same word or term can cause such a fuss in one country....and no fuss at all in another.

    Im from mozambique- Africa and the term "mulato" is just a way of identifying a person, like " -who is she?-oh she´s a mulata with green eyes, or he´s a black dude, or she´s an asian mixed kind of girl" its not pejorative in any way.

    to be continued...

  • I hate it but what else could we use.Biracial?Mixed?HalfBreed?!?! Putting the past meaning of the name aside. It gives us mixed black/white people a chance to have our own little slot. But I do see your point about getting rid of labels. For in America the chance of a raceless nation is ever coming closer......Maybe. It would be nice to live in such a nation. I don't see it happening soon. Just my opinion.

  • the hell u have your t-shirt off for, PEDO.

  • racists and especially white supremacists hate mulattos more than they hate pure blacks,just jion stormfront and you'll read how much they hate biracial people especially those of a white mother and a black father

  • ZAMBO?? HMMM!!! Well I definitely have some ZAMBO blood runnig through my veins if thats the case. PEACE!!!

  • accept yourself,you are mullato because you are half black and something else

  • Tru dat brother

  • You are right about the "American" part. I did not serve 5 years in the marine corps to come back and be told or implied to that I am lesser than any white (or other) american that is stereotyped as the typical american. I damn sure do not want to be called something that would further distance me from blacks and whites.

  • I jokingly started calling myself halfrican american...because I cannot stand racial epithets and I hate political correctness, and decided to parody it. It's harmless and not rooted in hate or disdain.

  • I thought for a while mulatto meant mixed with black and white. I stopped using it after some of my friends brought it to my attention that it was an insult. I just use biracial now.

  • Well Bmatt, I have one better for you.... my mother was mixed and my father though from a mixed heritage was considered mono-raced black. Do you know the term for the offspring from a biracial and a black person?........ SAMBO, yes my friends its true. All thanks to Jim Crowe. Don't you just love all of these labels. Where is the insulting name for all other mixes. i.e. German and Irish. Its always was given a negative slant when any African is involved. Isn't that interesting and tragic!

  • WOW!!! Thats a new one......Sambo means a child from a biracial and black? I never heard that before...but it makes sense with all the by words put upon people during JIM CROW like porch monkey. Whites that have porches hang out on porches too. How about jig-a-boo...I wonder how they came up with that one? PEACE!!

  • zambo is someone half black half native american,it's a spanish latin-american word

  • humans are animals.

    Classification in the Animal kingdom:mammal

    I am mixed i have no problem calling myself a half breed or half and half.

    and it sounds cool.

  • White people made that word out their hate for black people....so of course its stupid and ignorant.

  • Hmmm just looked that up. Interesting. Never used or liked that word. It sounds stupid to begin with.

  • I'm "mixed" with black and white and I don't think there's is any label that is officially considered socially correct. I think the word Mulatto kind of lost it's old meaning and my friends have no clue what it stems from anyway. I understand you feel offended that the word stems from an animal but how is that better than being labeled as a color? A noun is a noun and I think zebras are beautiful by the way. Just my opinion :)

  • How appropriate. I'm Mulatto and my username is Mulatto321. I am very happy to be considered "mulatto." I dont care about the origins of the name. Biracial sounds just as bad if you ask me. Whats the big deal, plus your definition is contested as Mulatto could also be descended from the Arabic "Mullawad." So please just get over it, your mulatto, half black, half white like me...so just forget about it!!! 99.999% of the time when ppl say mulatto, the are not calling you a donkey.

  • Good video.

  • scientificly there ARE no different human races except for neanderthals and they dont exist anymore

  • depends on what you deifne as a race.

  • Getting rid of the word Mullato will not get rid of Racism! first you have to focus on the source): this is found in people. Why not get rid of the word Nigger? or Chink?

    words are discriptions that the Websters Dictionary is full of. Racist people will always be with us, I understand your emotional pain! you have allot of anger

    against bigots and all racism. But stop wasting your energy on trying to get rid of

    the word Mullato. You are not a Word):

    you are a individual. Period

  • Out cast is to Cast away or Reject! ACTUALLY ALL HUMANS ARE ANIMALS):

    a higher form of animal. Then again the most dangerous animals on the planet are human animals. We created the Nuclear Bomb and YES" we even created Racism. Sadly people choose to live in a cast system that doesnt have to exist. Skin color has been turned into a rating

    system that either upgrades you? or down grades you in a race conscious society. PERIOD.

  • Mulatto> Mut or subhuman! half breed

    off spring from low class race mixtures.

    `````````````````````````````````````````````````````
    This is how most racist people view Mullato`s as a imperfection.
    Mullato is a Sin to most Bible believing
    Christians` actually all humans are
    linked together from mother Africa,
    the bed of Mankind.
    All races can intermarry and produce off springs! un like a Mule and a Horse.
  • YES!!! I hate that word! Im bi-racial and I would never describe myself as a Mulatto! I would correct people if they called me that. I wish people would stop calling themselves and others mulatto. It makes me just as angry as you seem. Thanks for masking this vid to let people know :)
  • for the below comments, i aplogize they are split up, start from the BOTTOM to the TOP. and guy, learn your fucking shit, i am mulatto and PROUD.
  • It is just a pc idiots in the U.S that think that they know it all,and don't know shit about Spanish Medieval history nor Latin American history.
  • they just call would've call them " mulas" instead of " mulattos" just like the Jews that converted to Christianity in Medieval Spain were reffered to as " Marrano" ( pig in Spanish). Mulatto as " mule" was invented by some racist white assholes in the mid 18th century,who resented that some of them were richer than them. That's why Mulatto is not offensive in Latin America.
  • A person with European and African ancestry. Is not just having " one white parent and another black" like some ignorant idiots have said here. Mulatto does not derive from " Mule". The word derrives from "Muladi", which is from Arabic " Muwaladeen", which means white mixed with Moor. It comes from medieval times. If the slavers wanted to call people " mules",
  • you stole the words right out of my mouth. right on man!!!!!!!!!
  • But why do you hate the word mulatto, we have a name like the other colours. Why mixed when we can have our own name mulatto. Mixed is not our name!
  • well mulatto essentially means mule. The origin comes from Spanish slave trader in the west indies. The horse(white parent) making an unnatural mix with a donkey(black parent) to make a mule(mulatto, or mixed if you will).
    horse+donkey=mule If you feel comfortable referring to your self as an unnatural mix of 2 species feel free but understand you are contributing to the view that race mixing in some how inherently wrong.
  • Exactly
  • I sure dont wanne be called Mule!!
  • Ok, but no one think in that position.
  • @Unekwu89
    Its the samething with the word nigger. It was used to insult, to degrade, to dehumanize an entire group of people. But today, its meaning is completely different. Suddenly black and mixed people (black/white) don't have a problem with the word nigger, at least within the community. Why can't Mulatto have the same fate as the word nigger? Plus, a mule, believe it or not, is considered to be superior to both the horse and the donkey. Search it up and the truth shall set you free.
  • @econdom1
    I have never accepted the word "nigger" and never will. I dont feel its appropriate. I am a human being, simple. To each its own. If you feel comfortable being called Nigger Mulatto feel free. But PERSONALLY I wouldnt refer to myself or any biracial children or friends as such
    PS Mules are considered inferior to horse but superior or equal to donkeys. However, Donkey/Horse/Mules are different species while Black/White/Biracial are all the same species so that logic doesnt apply
  • @Unekwu89
    It's widely known that a new meaning has been created for that word allowing many people that formerly were insulted by it, to be empowered and use it as a form of attack on racism. Its sort of saying that no one can put them down regardless how hard they try. Despite that, I don't use that word but understand why some use it.
  • @Unekwu89
    As for the donkey thing, I don't know where you got that from, search:
    Experts discover that mules are more intelligent than horses and donkeys
    Why Mules? at ruralheritage com
    The Mule, perhaps better than any other animal at carolinacountry com
    It's almost like what happened among humans. Those that were thought of as less, turn out to be the best. LOL.
  • @Unekwu89 Seems to me like they know that the word is an insult but, to them, it is less of an insult than being called or associated with being black. Just goes to show how some peoples mentality is so screwed up they’d rather use the most insulting, outdated, racist labels to identify themselves.
    We have to feel sorry for such people.
  • What are you actually a cross between a donkey and a horse?
    Why is mixed not a name? That's silly. You are mixed race.... Not species. Meaning mixed raceX and race Y e.g. mixed white and black.
  • 1. French people are white.
    2. Spanish people are white, your thinking of Hispanic people. Spaniards are white.
  • What are you talking about?
    Do you hate mulattos?
  • I hate the word mulatto, i prefer the word biracial, or mixed.. I dont hate mulattos, im mulatto myself..
  • biracial and mixed could be of different mixes. Eurasians have their word.
  • I definitely agree with this. You are on POINT!
    But it's the same with the n word. Black people go around saying nigga this nigga that. So what it has an a at the end? Still has the same meaning to me. It's history will never change. Why call yourself that? Ugh..
  • Thank you!! U know what i mean??
  • I wonder why you care!!! You are fine as hell thats what you should focus on!!! Are you sinle by the way?
  • thanks love, and yes i am=-)
  • hahaha can you come to Israel? lol
  • Wow ive never been there before.. I bet u would make it all worth it though=-)
  • There is such a thing as mulatto! I love being mulatto. Ive been called a mutt but I honestly dont care. Im easily judged as being black but thats stupidty. If a person favors a white person, does it mean they are white? Fuck no. So many ppl are quick to judge. Grow up. Fuck whomever hates Mulattos.....
