  • we need this game in the wii shop channel! so we can relive our childhood !!!

  • Quality!! Even to this very day I still love the music. Good times lol.

  • I started a fan page for Dan Malone (the artist on this game) on facebook, and via various links and posts I managed to contact Dan himself to talk to him about it, he was very touched his work was still loved, I mean, his work is classic! He even started to upload concept sketches from The Chaos Engine and also the original arena design for Speedball 2.

Search for The Incredible Art Of Dan Malone on facebook

  • The amiga is the best and in the original amiga version its the preacher, its only in the ports where they changed the name. The SNES version sucks, the megadrive one is ok but the Amiga will always be the best and original version

  • Some of the best music I ever heard in a game :)

  • the announcer sounds like captain picard

  • Would be better on the amiga, but the snes holds it up pretty good! I just hate the religious sensitive pussies that kept changing the preacher to a scientist. I mean really, come on! A preacher is pretty unique! but of course we gotta shield the kiddies from everything bad just so that it bites them in the ass to realize that life wasn't as rainbowy is they thought. ^^;

  • bad version.......best on amiga cd 32

  • @AmigaFan78 It's a good CONversion, but of course nothing beats the original or the CD32 upgrade. =)

  • @AmigaFan78 I remember magazines at the time complaining that the characters seemed smaller on the a1200 (and presumably its cd32 port).

I should point out that in the description of this video, it says that speedball2 never made it to the snes. True although it did make it to the megadrive and more importantly to the gameboy advance,

  • @TableWolfMusic Speedball 2 also made it to Master System and even the original GameBoy.

  • @ShiryuGL Ah yes, I forgot about the master system version!! Thanks for the reminder. I have it on the gameboy, like you say. Man, I love speedball2. I even like it so much I have its later release versions such as the ps1 and PC 3D version. Would be great to get an xbox360 and playing the 3D version on that. I really quite like the ps1 version (2100). I don't have the atari st version (or an ST for that matter) or megadrive. The gameboy version running through a gamecube is awesome.

  • @TableWolfMusic I actuallyl have the PAL Speedball 2 Megadrive cart (as new, boxed and manual) and it's so much better then the US version (the music is completly different). I also have the GBA version (aso fully boxed) and the GBA Gamecube Player.

  • @TableWolfMusic I have recently afquired Speedballl 2 Evolution fot the PSP (digital download) and also still have the PSX original boxed version. If you say that Speedball 2 is one of my favourite games of all time, you would nt be lying. And since the Super Nintendo is my favourite console of all time (along with the Wii, but the Wii cheats because it's also a GameCube and emulates older consoles), truly if I could turn back time,

  • @TableWolfMusic I would make a Super Speedball 2 version on the SNES that would be as close as possible to the Amiga original but with all the cool extras found on today's Speedball 2 Evolution. Make sure you check out

  • @ShiryuGL Speedball evolution looks good. I like the way it is available for android too.

  • This game looks cool dude.

  • Man, this brings up nice memories... Snif! :-)

  • The greatest game music ever created.

  • Holy shit I was trying to remember the name of this game the other day. It was "Soldiers of Fortune" here in the states though. awesome game

  • This game is so damn good.

I played it 10 years ago with a friend on my Amiga... with a Sega Master System pad.

I miss the old good times. =(

  • i have this game for my snes!! it rocks! :D

if you ever see it on the Wii's VC, i recommand it

  • Nintendo's hard-line conservative attitude towards content made so many ports seem like child's play. Good thing that the majority of ports were actually more fun to play than the 'XTREME!' genesis ones xD

  • Yes, I'm well aware of Nintendo's Politics back then, just look at Earthbound or FFIII :) I just thought they changed the way the Scientist holds his hands, but they didn't.

  • Wait...is it just me or is the "Scientist" holding his hands diffrent?

  • the music ROCKS on this game!!

  • I played the Amiga version quite a lot but I was surprised that the SNES version looks very good. I wonder if this will be released on the VC for the Wii.

  • I did but I went back to play it for myself and got further.

  • Loved the intro and music to this game. This was the bollox and probably the best game on the megadrive. Great characters and kick ass action. Another game I never completed AHHHHHHHHH lol. I got near the end with all these blue flame balls coming at you, there was noway through whats so ever.
