One of the best RPGs? Story-wise perhaps, but I found the battles to be highly unbalanced. You basically constantly rely on the freeze spells to get around.
That was the only real gripe I had with this game. The rest of it was so awesome. I just wish it was remade or hacked with much improved battles.
I'm currently reverse-engineering Albion and making an editor for the game.
An all-round editor that is. I'll expand it as far as my skills can go, but it's still to early to release.
Maybe keep an eye on my channel, in a month or 3... I'll release it with an accompanying video that demonstrates it. I'm working hard on this but there's no telling what setbacks I might encounter that delays the release. I'm glad to know at least one person might look forward to it

Like a "developer's" weapon they used to quickly get around and test things. It's a laser that does a whopping 200 damage. I added it to Tom's locker at the very beginning of the game for testing, haha.
@piip4 Interesting! Googling for "Albion debug items" also brings me to a page which lists the name of every single item in the game - including the debug ones. It's likely that there were at least several of them.
Not sure if you know, but it also seems that user a2flo (on YouTube) was trying to make a remake of Albion using the original game resources some time ago, though it seems abandoned. Maybe you can get in touch with him and exchange reverse engineering information. :)

I played this several years ago. I still have the manual and cd, but I forgot how to setup a game in dos - lost the setup files. I like some of hte old games because they play differently sometimes. It's not just about nostalgia... they're different.
I liked the "14th attempt to introduce a common EU currency fails due to Germany's resistance" newspiece. Guess someone at Bluebyte really didn't like the Euro. :-)

the old "Thalion" Team did a good job for Blue Byte by making this game for the PC :)
sad it wasnt that big hit when its came out...
now even Blue Byte isn't anymore itself just another Trademark under UbiSoft...

Dreams are a continuation of your daily life ... guess if you have a VERY grey/black/white life you also see dreams that way.
