Awesome scene. My other favorite is the scene in this is where they're showing the various Jet Lis and there's one with dreadlocks. Oh, and the DVD extra where they show the stunt double for the scene where he was on fire. Dude had his hair and sideburns still done to look like The Rock (who was cast for the movie, but ended up turning it down to conflicts.)

I remember watching this a million times when it came out, a friend had a bootleg of it as well. I think this movie was awesome and loved the premis of the multiverse.
In part 2 he is as we know from last movie almost reached omnipotence.
Then the end of part 2 they kill each otehr which only destroys their dimensions but not all dimension then camera switches from the big bang to another dimension where he is being born anew as a child.

If Li accidently killed "himself" as a cop, then the odds of a penal colony of former cops wouldn't make sense, as they would quickly change the structure of the MVA law enforcement if there were thousands of rogue cops. Also, if the colony was full of MVA killers, Li would be the most powerful because he came within one kill of being the One, but in the end he has no super powers.

At the end, it shows him beating the crap out of all of them which is something he probably wouldn't be able to do without his powers. Also, I doubt they're all self killers.

The backstory doesnt mean thats the only part in the MV. There are other people around that wouldve thought the same thing. If he was the first, why was he a MVA cop?

@kirby4d Ummm, murder, bank robberies, rapists... you really can't think of reasons for a penal colony. Plus, Statham was a interdimmensional cop. Obviously there are other crimes that must have been committed other than killing your doppelganger. He was a MVA cop because of this. He killed his parallel self in the line of duty, which is how he discovered his power. Look at how many people he surrounded by when it zoomed out? Your theory just doesn't make sense.

@kirby4d The movie obvious wasn't meant to be analyzed this deeply, as no solution makes 100% sense. If Li accidently killed "himself" as a cop, then the odds of a penal colony of former cops wouldn't make sense, as they would quickly change the structure of the MVA law enforcement if there were thousands of rogue cops. Also, if the colony was full of MVA killers, Li would be the most powerful because he came within one kill of being the One, but in the end he has no super powers.

They dont have to all be cops. The one he killed first was not a cop, but was still trying to kill other people like him in the multiverse. There is just no logic in having the MVA police regular murders. The danger a self-killer poses requires a special police force.

The MVA is there to keep balance in the system. "Balance" doesn't mean MVA Self killers. Its the protection of the multiverse and its functions, such as time travel and wormholes. If prevnting self-murder was the only objective, MVA would not exist for they control the only means of transportation between verses.

@ChocolatePoop1301 Take into account that when game was fighting his police friends in the Hospital, he showed no signs of amazing strength besides bending the rifle and also when Yu-Law was fighting Rodager or whatever his name is, besides the special affects, it didn't seem like his punches did "superhuman" damage to him. At the end, it shows him beating the crap out of all of them which is something he probably wouldn't be able to do without his powers. Also, I doubt they're all self killers.

This is an action movie intended to shock and awe with martial arts. Clearly they weren't trying to entertain Stephen Hawking fans. You are trying to force logic into what amounts to a poorly written plot, and even worse, comparing it too a light alien comedy and one of the most profound metaphysical movies of all time.

@kirby4d During the execution they rattle off a list of laws broken. This implies that there are more crimes to be committed than murder. If someone can switch universes and commit murder, than they can do so with any crime. There could be MVA rapists, MVA bank robbers, and MVA anything. You should use your imagination in that direction rather than make these wild and illogical comparisons and conclusions.

It says "... there was balance in the system, but now a force exists to destroy the balance, so that he can become the one." That implies that he is only MVA killer. He also says the ending line "I will be the one" to the executioner and witnesses before the mouse blows up, so obviously the line wasn't directed towards the other colony specifically.

That intro doesnt preclude earlier attempts and also doesnt mean other people havent tried. The other prisoners clearly recognize that he is like them: trying to become the one.

@kirby4d "I will be the One" has the meaning - "I will be the GOD," but Li isn't a native English speaker so his infliction and way of saying it gives it an ambiguous meaning. It's not supposed to mean "I will be the one that becomes the ONE/GOD." The director should have had him pause and give it more emphasis i "I will be... TEH ONE!!!"
