The guy sees the ad, dreams about the happiness it could bring, and realizes that it's just an ad and will not being him happiness.

The lesson that is that too often people try to find happiness through things. Advertisements exploit this to sell products.

Real happiness comes from within not by the things you own.

But he's only thinking, whishing that would have happened, and he's sad. He pastes this on a wall, the same as others, and end ends sad. That idea of happiness isn't his own so it has no meaning for him even though he believes it should. Happiness itself shouldn't be made into a goal. It's a way of being. Happiness is an experience which is all within you to feel. Things don't make people happy. People become happy by finding personal meaning and value, which aren't objects at all.
