Ok maybe my point wasnt made clear.....I meant that the bass is SIMILAR (NOT totally the same) to the rhythm guitar (with bass fills between verses and shizzle) as both instruments provide rhythm 4 the song, which is common in metal and rock so it should b consistent. For example, in verses during singing, the bass may be following the rhythm guitar and then after the bass may follow into a different lick than the guitar.
