@bratmassakern, gin is not distilled. It's made by infusing a neutral grain alcohol (yeah, like vodka) with juniper berries and some other spices. Distillation strips the alcohol from the flavoring and just makes a more pure alcohol. So why in the world would you add flavors only to remove them, twice???
@SuperBelleD i agree about infusion but when you use a fruit or veggie to ferment the liquer,the flavor is still there after distillation. just trust me

@scarydead Nope, its not. When you make gin you use a special distillation method. Then you add flavors and distill it again.
