Hi ceb! Have you already that version (Rondine application) by Plácido? Search for "Parigi è la citta dei desideri". It hasn't got Placido tag or identification.
I guess it's all a matter of taste. Everybody has their own personal favorites. I feel that Boheme is more realistic and down to earth, which helps me to get more into the drama. So many operas deal with larger than life characters and exciting and/or outrageous plots that I think it is refreshing to see something simple, intimate, and lovely like Boheme. I just personally (somewhat) perfer the music in Boheme also. I do love Tosca too though.
But I still prefer Tosca. None of the acts or melodies there give me envy of skip to the next (when I have some time, I use to pass the first part of the 1st act, of the second act and of the third). As you should have understood, I love those "Puccinian dramatic" scenes.
I LOVE THIS SONG!

bravo!!!
I think that puccini's masterpiece is turandot, but all of his work is amaizing, he is the greatest italian opera composers (after Verdi of course)

Thank you! All Puccini is my favorite, I guess. His less known works are amazing, shows the growth of genius.

Thanks I really enjoyed it. My favorite Puccini of course is "Madama Butterfly"

Why "of course" Butterfly? My fav Puccini is Boheme, followed by Tosca.
I love this Puccini album with Placido. Thanks Ceb for posting songs from it.

Why Bohème first and Tosca after? I rather prefer Tosca.

Indeed, what you say is reflected and accurate.
