There is something eerie about camping next to or near still water, i wanted to ask you about that. I know you have been doing this for many years but how do you cope with that crushing dark and fear as the night closes in and your camp gets smaller and smaller? Here in England, ticks are probably the most dangerous thing you'll encounter so long as one doesn't start thinking of spirits etc lol. Is it just a case of getting used to it?

@bilko1971 I have gotten to feel more comfortable and relaxed in the gloom of night....closer to hammock nap time! It takes some getting used to....but I love the mental break of a solo.

@brutallindigo My work is like this. i go on the road for ... well this summer 11 weeks and my days off were travel days. When I am off ...or un-employed.... I practice, train and do fun stuff to keep my spirit alive. No TV.

It is the artists life and takes adjustment for sure.

Plus ... I have an ambitious wife!!!!

Fundy sound good. ... go how-ever. UQs are just a luxury.

I want to abolish the IRS switch to a flat tax system. I have head stories of people loosing it dealing with them obtuse people. You need to make the back packing a business you can count hiking time toward your business expense your expected money to be generated is off of YT revenue you can write off an office auto expenses musical instruments you use in the video camera equipment even more see a CPA and you will never have to deal with the IRS pricks again.

I have had coyotes try to eat me years ago but lucky they can not climb trees. Be careful Shug. They looked at me like I look at a taco! So now days I also carry a ruger 10 22 with hi cap mags perched on a tripod built out of my trecking poles and another random piece of green wood tied together. I take security seriously.

Molinillo Mexican Hot Chocolate Whisk Mixer Stirrer. Looks like a wooden rattle. You spin it to make the chocolate frothy like a Latte.
