Charmers Cafe was a fabulous gay bar in the 80/90's that was filled with original Art Deco decor and tufted leather walls. You had to be buzzed in to enter, but once inside, it was a wonderful little neighborhood bar. I remember a 60's Love In theme party there one night where they serve Sangria and passed a pipe around the bar all night, while we all sang "Oh Happy Day"... Bartender Rick will be in my heart and memories forever...
i grew up in jarvis-that place was not so bad but sometimes can be dangerous- you can see muggings when you open the window. there was a 7-11 , i use to play video games there and it was robbed 356 days a year.
Wow Jarvis has changed! I grew up right on that block. If you have been there for 20 years you probably know my parents they owned a print shop at 1501.
