@extraawesomestudios If I remember correctly, if you remove the grip and look at the board, there should be a little red square on your board. With the board switched off, remove the red square. Turn the gun on and it should be 20 bps. The "little red square" is the tournament lock.

There are many problems with the mini, I would get the Empire Axe. Its basically the same as the Mini, but minus the suckage. Also, Proto just came out with the Proto Reflex Rail. Both are 500$ markers

@ItsDtownMayn Any questions/comments/commentary/snide remarks are always welcome. Any "standard" size O-rings will work (Ie. The size that goes onto your tank). But make sure they are the right type (The stretchy green ones work best). The clamping feed-neck comes off via twisting it. I took mine off but I had to use a wrench to get it off and ended up scratching the hell out of it. (use elbow grease)

DO NOT BUY A SPYDER! They will break save up for a better gun. I bought a spyder victor and it broke the first day. So i returned it and got an etek 2 and ive had it for 2 years and not one problem. Another thing is that those hoppers that are made of that plastic break to easy. I could drop that hopper on the floor and it would break i could throw my rotor across the room and it would not break. DONT buy a spyder just because you dont want to have to wait to buy another gun. just save up
@iKeaten i had this problem too. take the annoying elbow, tighten it with pliers. it should have some hole going through it about mid way up. if it doesn't than drill one. take a thin allen key (a long one not the ones that spyder gives u) or anything thats long and thin, stick it thru and twist good luck. pm me if u have any questions

That would be a good cheap option. I would recomend the "HALO TSA" (halo tilt sound activated), they arnt made anymore, but stores still stock them. They are relitively cheap. I was thinking about buying the ER DB sonic, but i just held out for the Empire that i have now, and i can use it for any style pb.

this gun is the first gun i bought i just used it for the second time today in woodsball and i have to say its a good gun the only real changes that i need is an electric hopper and a longer barrel like a 12-13" cause the stock 9" makes it harder to hit my targets that are 80 yards away lol but its a good gun i like it but i've wanted to buy a gun for a while and i knew that spyder's were decent. The spyder battery is 9.6 volt (and rechargeable), So if you pop in a "normal 9v battery" the gun will be underpowered. This means that the gun will quite possibly shoot slower, and the trip (the thing that clicks when you pull the trigger) will hit the seer with less force than it will with a 9.6 battery in.
PLUS you wont be able to recharge a "normal" 9v battery.
The board has resisters and compositors to make sure it doesn't fry at different voltages. The main problem you will be looking at is the striker/seer.
If the striker isnt set off properly (because of low power), an o ring can snip on the seer and dislodge causing a loose o ring floating around in your gun.

Every field has different rules. You will have to call them and ask them "do you allow electro-markers?" if yes... "is there any restricts on modes?" if they only let semi auto ... "any limit on bps?"

I do not play with a vs1 anymore. This video is more than a year old. I have gone through many markers since then. i have used both in speedsball and i find the evo alot better. When i started playing paintball 8 years ago, i had a Tippmann .68 Carbine, a 20 oz co2 tank, eye goggles, and a shake'n'shoot. 8 years in the sport playing woodsball. i JUST started speedball in 07. do the math
Take Texas. It's one of the big 3 (cali & FL are the others, OK is working its way in to bump out FL) a majority of Texan paintballers play woodsball because of the woods. The reason, Texas is almost entirely covered in cedar/pine woods. all other states dont nearly have as much woods as texas. Plus Paintball was born in the woods. A respectable player would pay tribute to that.
The field i play at has old Turf and horrible lighting and old bunkers and the yard markings are about 6 inches off. speedball sucks in Texas, We even tried to make the TXPL. didnt work. all the teams (including the homefield team i was on) lost 2k in sign up money.
Good question. I DID run c02 through the macroline in a different marker. i didn't encounter any problems... but something is telling me to tell you its not safe because if you look up the specs, macroline is ensured to 4500 psi (which is HPA max) and c02 is 4500+ (i think)... But look it up and ask someone else

hey dipshit, injury due to sliding is the 2nd most common pb injury after sprained ankle. and it just so happens that the durrito was the most common bunker slid into during the 03, 05, 7, 8 nppl. and during the the 1st NPPL when they started using inflatable bunkers, the same injury (one more sever, 6 less sever) happened... in the same day... on the same field, and 4 were on the same bunker... the duritto. The turf was old. Its a common injury, it happened to me bu my sholder became dislocated
Well, in my older vids up, i have (i think) something showing 2 smart parts guns (a vibe and a sp1). In one of the vs1 series i pull out an disassembled ion for a second. I have my tippmann TPX (yes i enjoy that better than the vs1), I own the OLD SCHOOL tippmann PRO-lite (one of my loaner guns, its better because of durability). traded my vs1 for a broken proto. fixed/sold the proto, got a system x nme. traded the NME for a etek 2, and quit speedball the next month and sold the etek 2.
I hurt myself really bad playing speedball at a tournie and i had to be taken away by ambulance. The field didnt take good care of their turf and it was very hard and worn down. I did a superman into the 50 dorrito. My chest planted firm into a hard spot and my body flipped arround and i snapped 5 vertebrae and 3 ribs. I take it easy and woodsball now. i use "techpb's build" for the sp-1. plus a big fucking rifle looks best in camo =)
the etek is alot better. But where i play, there is really no need for an etek. Its JUST woods and Milsim, and when i did bring my tournie marker, i was looked at like i was crazy. I would never bring my sp1 to speedball, like i never would have brought my etek to woodsball.
I would prefer my sp1 and tippmann in the woods rather the etek. First off I can't outfit the etek with tac gear like scopes, lazer, and tac q loader. And when you go to the woodsball park of America where tac 10 is heald, right outside my city, everyone owns bt's and tippmanns because tournie markers are dirt traps.
Please note that this video was made nearly a year ago, and i was doing woods ball for 2 years before that. I currently own FAR better guns, because the vs1 wore out.

get the protege. its an open bolt configuration, easiest to clean, maintain, and will NOT give you problems.
the marq's are going to act like Trix's. one day they are going to be shooting ropes, and the next day they are shooting soup with no change. you have to tweak them for temp, humidity, etc.
eyes on ONLY shoots 11.5 BPS. it will not go any higher.
Your confusing shooting modes with trigger adjustment. Trigger adjustment means you physically adjust screws in the gun so its EASIER to shoot the set amount, (more or less pull, side to side, X placement)
the ion was a working project that got put on halt because a screw head got cut off leaving the body still in.... and it was one of those gass through screws that connects to the inner tubing connected to the board.... and plus i have better guns now

I stuck tape ontop of each other to make an almost perfect cube (took a long time) then i got a box cutter and cut alittle peg out of the corner, then i fit in inside the gun and it whittled it from there.
i spent about 40 dollars on a board. my advise, DONT do it. the spyder vs1 was not ment to be a tournie gun. by the time you spend all this money to upgrade, you chould have bought an Azodin Zenith which has all the modes you could want.
but if you absolutely want one, go with tadao because its cheeper

You can get by with C02 for a LONG time. My spyder ATE UP hpa really fast. I think i remember getting less than 500 shots out of one.

I had to ghetto rig mine when i still owned it. After i got tired of the rig, i bought a new trigger. Other than that, there is nothing you can do other than tightening the one screw that is on the trigger.

I do not play with a vs1 anymore. This video is more than a year old. I have gone through many markers since then. i have used both in speedsball and i find the evo alot better. When i started playing paintball 8 years ago, i had a Tippmann .68 Carbine, a 20 oz co2 tank, eye goggles, and a shake'n'shoot. 8 years in the sport playing woodsball. i JUST started speedball in 07. do the math

Take Texas. It's one of the big 3 (cali & FL are the others, OK is working its way in to bump out FL) a majority of Texan paintballers play woodsball because of the woods. The reason, Texas is almost entirely covered in cedar/pine woods. all other states dont nearly have as much woods as texas. Plus Paintball was born in the woods. A respectable player would pay tribute to that.

The field i play at has old Turf and horrible lighting and old bunkers and the yard markings are about 6 inches off. speedball sucks in Texas, We even tried to make the TXPL. didnt work. all the teams (including the homefield team i was on) lost 2k in sign up money.

Good question. I DID run c02 through the macroline in a different marker. i didn't encounter any problems... but something is telling me to tell you its not safe because if you look up the specs, macroline is ensured to 4500 psi (which is HPA max) and c02 is 4500+ (i think)... But look it up and ask someone else

hey dipshit, injury due to sliding is the 2nd most common pb injury after sprained ankle. and it just so happens that the durrito was the most common bunker slid into during the 03, 05, 7, 8 nppl. and during the the 1st NPPL when they started using inflatable bunkers, the same injury (one more sever, 6 less sever) happened... in the same day... on the same field, and 4 were on the same bunker... the duritto. The turf was old. Its a common injury, it happened to me bu my sholder became dislocated

Well, in my older vids up, i have (i think) something showing 2 smart parts guns (a vibe and a sp1). In one of the vs1 series i pull out an disassembled ion for a second. I have my tippmann TPX (yes i enjoy that better than the vs1), I own the OLD SCHOOL tippmann PRO-lite (one of my loaner guns, its better because of durability). traded my vs1 for a broken proto. fixed/sold the proto, got a system x nme. traded the NME for a etek 2, and quit speedball the next month and sold the etek 2.

I hurt myself really bad playing speedball at a tournie and i had to be taken away by ambulance. The field didnt take good care of their turf and it was very hard and worn down. I did a superman into the 50 dorrito. My chest planted firm into a hard spot and my body flipped arround and i snapped 5 vertebrae and 3 ribs. I take it easy and woodsball now. i use "techpb's build" for the sp-1. plus a big fucking rifle looks best in camo =)

the etek is alot better. But where i play, there is really no need for an etek. Its JUST woods and Milsim, and when i did bring my tournie marker, i was looked at like i was crazy. I would never bring my sp1 to speedball, like i never would have brought my etek to woodsball.

I would prefer my sp1 and tippmann in the woods rather the etek. First off I can't outfit the etek with tac gear like scopes, lazer, and tac q loader. And when you go to the woodsball park of America where tac 10 is heald, right outside my city, everyone owns bt's and tippmanns because tournie markers are dirt traps.

Please note that this video was made nearly a year ago, and i was doing woods ball for 2 years before that. I currently own FAR better guns, because the vs1 wore out.

There are far better guns on the market. and if you have EVEN BEEN in the sport back then, then you would have know that the VS-1 was THE best selling gun in that time frame. No. Each gun has it own threadings, like a water bottle top wont screw in on a glass bottle.
Spyder guns use Spyder Threads.
Most other guns use Autococker Threads.

get the protege. its an open bolt configuration, easiest to clean, maintain, and will NOT give you problems.
the marq's are going to act like Trix's. one day they are going to be shooting ropes, and the next day they are shooting soup with no change. you have to tweak them for temp, humidity, etc.

eyes on ONLY shoots 11.5 BPS. it will not go any higher.
Your confusing shooting modes with trigger adjustment. Trigger adjustment means you physically adjust screws in the gun so its EASIER to shoot the set amount, (more or less pull, side to side, X placement)

PMR- if you know how to file out the quirks on any Trix gun. one day they will be shooting ropes, the next they will be spitting soup at the ground.
06 ego- PE was still ironing out the quirks by 06, so it will shoot IDENTICALLY to the ETEK.

the ion was a working project that got put on halt because a screw head got cut off leaving the body still in.... and it was one of those gass through screws that connects to the inner tubing connected to the board.... and plus i have better guns now

I stuck tape ontop of each other to make an almost perfect cube (took a long time) then i got a box cutter and cut alittle peg out of the corner, then i fit in inside the gun and it whittled it from there.

i spent about 40 dollars on a board. my advise, DONT do it. the spyder vs1 was not ment to be a tournie gun. by the time you spend all this money to upgrade, you chould have bought an Azodin Zenith which has all the modes you could want.
but if you absolutely want one, go with tadao because its cheeper

Well, i made this video when i loved the vs1, so i really cant re-edit the video.
I sold the dpg3 because it broke down, and i got my money back via warrenty.
personally, i quit speedball, because there is a brand new field like 500 yards away from my house that only does woodsball. so now i own a "mikes build" smart parts sp1, and a tippmann tpx pistol side arm

i would go Halo TSA. (tilt sound activated) its like 25 dollars and its a nice hopper. 30 dollars for the hopper with a LED screen.
as for air tank, get a 47 3000. it will shoot maybe 300 shots, so you will have to refill it after each game. but its like 40 dollars.
