  • a worker is stuck there!

  • wow the camera looked like it shook when the engine blew

  • if this engone was used in a real plane.... Crash!

  • uuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm fail

  • ACME !! BY WILLY COYOTE !!!!!

  • Excellent, wouldn't like to be in the air if that happened in flight though..

  • If you listen carefully that was a controlled engine failure, they were counting down and then you hear "Fire" when the engine fries. Honestly that looked like a very nice test. Being in school for AME training, I've seen far worse tests and deadlier failures.

  • either way mate i think if anything like that happend the plane would be fucked

  • @FPVXR8ED - QF 32

  • @FPVXR8ED The plane lost in this case maybe a engine but it not would be "fucked".

  • Wouldnt that like throw the plane far of course if that happened. And wouldnt that strat a fire on the wing?

  • and from what that said it passed the test. check it out, it goes for a couple of hours and goes over the whole design and construction process

  • i saw the doco on this, they had to do this to test something, i forget what but i think it was testing to see how the blades on the fan would hold up if something got sucked into it mid flight.

  • well there goes 15mil : )

  • the airbus 380 has 4 of these puppys so if one dies ur gonna be fine this was demonstarting a fan blade breaking off and going threw the engine to insure no shrapnal flew into the passenger or plane area

  • fuckin BANG

  • What a waste, i could have thought of a better way to use it, like attatching it to a go kart of the like - not sure how, but still would be fun

  • Is that a Rolls Royce engine?

  • Yes, for the a380.

  • @rich17279 yeah it was

  • I have seen this test before. They put a timed explosive charge in the engine and set it off to simulate a injector failure in the engine. Those engines are built with accuracy and have to undergo rigorous testes before the design is opted for use

  • That makes you feel safe!

  • that a bad engine lol

  • actually it's not

  • idk but has any1 else lately been noticing that their are more frequent airplane accidents i really dont like flying either

  • there are multiple airplane incidents that the the news doesn't report, but that doesn't make them any less safe, its a lot easier to get killed in your car than in an airplane.

  • Yea i know but at least when your in a car there might be able to get help once ur up there idk how much assistance you can get.
