  • I just watched one of Reb's 80's guitar sessions. Hard to believe this is the same guy because they look so dissimilar.

  • GOTTA LOVE THIS GUY!!! his tapping technique is like flawless

  • Shame he retired all of his Ibanez RBM's. I know he used Suhrs first, but those Ibanezes

    looked so COOL!!

  • the Voyager is still the hottest Ibanez ever in my opinion!

  • @bernhardtsen74 Ibanez also made a guitar called the Demon,it looked like an upside-down

RG 550,the bottom cutaway was way longer than the top one,it had a single coil near the neck

and the humbucker near the bridge. Those are super-super rare, i've only seen them in catalogs

  • I dont like that shape at all!

its like their xiphos these days, just for looks!

  • @bernhardtsen74 Guess they gotta please the metal croud some kinda way!

  • i hate faggots that call red beach a poser when he is probably one of the most talented guitarist on this fuckin planet.

  • brad gillis is also a whammy man...different style but also unique

  • lol poser, I like how this poser played in Alice Cooper, Dokken, Whitesnake, Winger, and now solo stuff. I wish i was a poser.

  • @Reinpret Don't forget Frank Zappa,David Bowie,Chaka Kahn,Michael Bolton

Reb Beach was also one of the most in-demand session guitarists ever, and

had already toured the world even before Winger. Some poser LOL!

  • @AnnaAnnaYes - roger that.

  • He's used suhr before ibanez. In the " headed for a heartbreak" video. Great player and Winger are a lot better than they get credit for. Check out his " fusion demo's cd" it's cool.

  • best whammy bar player. He is a great soloist for sure but even better in a band scenario.

  • i love reb !

  • superb tapping, masterful control of the harmonics and tremelo too

    awesom!

  • Thats great whammy bar technique right there^ boys

  • one of the best tappers in the world

  • sick.

  • Not to be hating, this guy is very good. Very, very VERY van halenish though.

    Not that that's a bad thing ;)

  • i never understood why they give all the credits to Dough Aldrige in Whitesnake whilst Reb Beach can barely show his capabilities during concerts. To me Reb Beach is the far better guitarist.

  • @Glissmann You got it right. I've been asking myself the same damn thing!

  • He sucks. He fools as much live as zakk, instead of really playing.

  • @wizardofmadness You may be a wizard of madness but you are a dumbass when it comes to identifying real talent IMHO.

  • @bell1684 I tried listening again, and couldn't finish going through all that squealing, trying to find 'talent'. If you type 'top guitarists' in the search, tell me if you can find this guy in any of the lists. I doubt it.

  • @wizardofmadness You're watching a shred clip. Try listening to actual music Reb's done then pan him. He's a fantastic writer and has an ear for harmonies that's out of this world. Some of the best out there respect him as a player.

  • To MrZovar, do fast hammer ons between say... frets 2 and 4 on 3rd or 4th string while you slide one of your right hand fingers or side of your palm slightly gracing the strings to make harmonics pop out in different areas. Hope that helps... it's a bit hard to explain.

  • @1asturiano Thanks man. That helped. Kinda obvious once you explained it :D

  • Nice guy. Killer guitarist.

  • Incredible!!!

  • Dime a dozen.

  • Dime a Dozen. Get a haircut

  • How is he creating the noise at 0:50? Anyone know?

  • @MrZovar Yes!! If you look closely you can see someone squeezing his balls during that time period!!! lol

  • @nehocyrrah Lol....now to find some to squeeze mine when im playing.

  • @MrZovar lol

  • He used to have such a fast alternate picking technique in the 80's, which I kinda miss ):

  • Great guitar player but a bit dated innit?

  • @matrags can u play like that? do u have a music career? didnt think so

  • Namm last year!

Better than most of the shredders out there!

by shredders I mean the sweep noobs!

  • Wow I've been a HUGE fan of Reb for freekin ages... But I've NEVER seen this video before! My god!!!!! I think i just smiled, cried, died, got reborn cried some more and orgasmed all at the same time. That shit is mindblowing! Every bit as impressive as he is live in the flesh. Which you can't say the same for many guitarists!!!

    First there was nothing...

    Then came guitar...

    Then there was Reb Beach!

    Reb is God!

  • His legato tapping licks and whammy bar manipulated harmonics are classic. They're kind of like his signature licks he falls back on all the time, and he plays them well I might add.

  • one of my favorites, always.

  • Feeeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttttttt!

  • I hung out with Reb twice. the first time

at Allstate arena 2000 and the second time was classic metal mania stripped

in palatine IL . He is and always will be a great guitar player one of my favorite's.

  • That was pretty fucking awesome Reb was shredding back in the 80s with winger as well big fan here!

  • does he still play ibanez guitars?

  • it was suhr

  • @yoggguuurt no! go to the reb beach cuts loose video, thats an ibanez!

  • thats his old signature Ibanez guitar!

I think for the last 8 or 9 yrs hes been playing his Suhr signature!

  • he uses his signature Suhr guitars!

  • @guysapire Yes he does ocassionally

  • @guysapire no he plays suhr guitars

  • @guysapire no Suhr guitars

  • Reb is one of the few 80's guitar players that hasn't lost his edge. He still sounds like himself unlike a lot of other players.

  • :50-:54, Hammer ons and pulls offs while getting harmonics with his picking hand. Technique has been around for a while, popularized by none other than EVH.

  • Hendrix did that too.

  • At :50 to :54.....never seen that technique before......Beach is doing different things here that I've never seen done on guitar.

  • 00:50, that is something new....wow

  • So true... never seen that before. Seen the one string done but never multiples.

  • The best guitarist in the world

  • ***reb can rock the guitar ****

he can play anything.-- also a real cool guy-

  • It's not a pink floyd concert...it's about impressing the audience...quickly

  • Yep, :) I know Batten and Jordan, but for me TJ is the shit, besides Greg Howe.

  • TREMENDO

  • watch his cutting loose video

  • holy shit this guy rips.

  • I wanted to trash this, because, in essesence, he's been playing the same solo since the 80's. BUT, he sounds pretty cool. For this style of guitar, that is to say, flashy, gained-out, chops-based stuff, it's pretty musical. His hammers are engaging, his pinch harmonics are nasty and his pentatonic minor stuff makes you want to make a face when you listen. A good, guitary face...

  • Reb has one of the most unique tapping styles ever.. i can always tell when its him .. has that reb sound to it... I remember saying to myself ..who needs a pick when you can tap like that.. but hes dam good at picking.. but his tapping is awsome..

  • i love tapping. I think it sounds better than alternate picking in some instances. :)

    Love it.

  • What ever everybody say juz Eddie Van Halen and stanley Jordan is The Best tapping in the World. He played the guitar like Eddie Van Halen.

  • dude, look up Steve Lynch for tapping...

  • Dude, look up TJ Helmerich... :D

  • Look up Stanley Jordan or Jennifer Batten.

  • Yeah I`

  • Cut off half way :P?

  • Dude, check Steve Lynch two hands guitar solo........ for some sick tapping

  • steve vai in my opinion is the master of tapping and everything else hahaha

  • reb beach rocks!

his name will never die :P

    reb is sooo marvelousss...

    his tapping its inmortal :P

  • he's really good. idk how he slipped under the radar. taps quite a lot. still sick though. badass axeman

  • What kind of guitar does he use?

    Love it!

  • Its his signature Suhr guitar!!!

Theyre way better looking than PRS!

The price is about the same though!

  • i have a prs se standard.....lol its tha most expensive guitar i got ($500)

  • I got the Ibanez rg350dx to begin with!

    500$

Then I put Dimarzio Paf Mo´joe and Pro in it!

    another 200$

Last month I changed them again!

Seymour Duncan P-90 in neck, Hot Rails in the middle and finally Screaming Demon in bridge!

    Another 250$

    Total cost 950$

I will also install a better floyd rose soon!

  • daaaaaaaaaaamn lucky you. hell i aint even got no floyd. you should post a vid of how tha sucker sounds

  • kind of reminds me of the old kramer bird beak head stock

  • Whoever said Reb is a poser couldn't hold Reb's jock. The man is a genius.

  • hey guitarpolice, your sister is a poser jejejeje

  • the stuff from 1.05 is fucking cool xD

  • Reb Rulez!!!!!! ;)

  • Your mother is a poser.

  • Along with his sister!

In the shady corners of town!!!

  • You're just bummed because you cant play his licks, Kirk.

  • I love that man!! That guitar ROCKS!!!
