how does this compare to a nismo exhaust? or bassani? looking at the both of them ATM.. can't make up my mind. this looks promising though. expensive?

I think you are comparing apples and oranges right now. The Nismo and bassani are not loud exhausts at all, unless with test pipes. This exhaust is very deep and loud just as a catback. Its is also a little more expensive than those you listed. But the quality and tone is worth I IMO.

how long have you had this exhaust? how does it sound now that it's been broken in? it sounds like it might be unbearable with hfc's, plenum spacers, and headers (mods i'm doing before the exhaust)... what do you think? too loud? i'm aiming to keep the tone of the car quiet when i'm just cruising then really sound mean at WOT nah mean... should i even bother with MD?

Yes, complete catback system. There are not also new axle back designs that were just released.

Sounds like you would be more interested in the Motordyne Gamma exhaust, it has canister mufflers towards the rear, like in the Injen exhaust. Sounds almost stock at idle and gets loud at WOT. Search my vids of the white 350z, that is the gamma with stock cats.

Switching from the HKS to this exhaust showed no gain. Both are very free flowing exhausts.

This car sounds a lot like a friend of mine's ferrari 430 with Tubi exhaust. Her's is extremely raw and loud, even at low rpms, but no drone noise. This car is so exotic sounding I'd turn me head if I heard it, expecting to see something amazing, and I've had my G for a while. I MUST have this exhaust!! Does MD make the dual part? or is that something custom? It sounds so much louder and deeper than a single shockwave...

Ya I just got in contact with Tony...great guy. I'm seriously thinking of trading the G for an '07 Z. I NEVER use the back seats, and I'm only interested in something harsh and fast. The G is glassy smooth at 150, but it's heavier than I'd like. Your headlights are great too, btw. I'm extremely critical of people who customize their car's looks, and usually make fun of them pretty harshly. You have probably the most tasteful Z I've seen. Very clean. This looks like SWFL you're driving around in.

It's a travasty what theyv'e done with the new 370z. I was going to get one of those until I learned of all the little "improvements". The thing that killed the sale for me was how it automatically blips the rpms when u downshift!!! How he hell do I get used to that being done for me? One of my favorite things is blipping the rpms and I get satisfaction in my shifting skill. They're taking away the satisfaction of being a master of your car's gearing and clutch. :-/

I believe the rev matching has its own switch to turn it off and on in the 370z. I will ask a owner at our next meet.
