Akira Takarada asks to be cast in new Godzilla movie.

And he'll be in Chicago July 13-15th. I realize you will have a major presence at Comic Con that weekend, but it would be nice if Legendary Pictures could send someone to meet with him and see for themselves how interested he is in being in the movie. Don't take my word for it.

I for one, as a Godzilla fan, would really enjoy seeing Mr. Akira Takarada cast in the new Godzilla movie. Legendary Pictures has some major shoes to fill especially after the 1998 American made movie ( which I thought was awesome for a monster flick but definately not deserving to be called Godzilla) so casting a 'legendary' Godzilla movie actor would be a major step forward and will appeal very postively with fans.

In remakes or sequels of long running series, I always enjoy seeing a familiar face from the past pop up. And I would love to see this guy show up for the Godzilla reboot, even if it is for a small part, though I think he would be good for a larger part too. If anybody deserves it, Takarada does. Legendary, please the g-fans :-)
