  • That was so awesome! I'm going to work on a version, do you have any of the score for that or the original, I would appreciate it massively (I have worked out the main theme like the bit Rush play in La Villa Strangiato).

  • has an electronic feel i think would impress raymond scott

  • This is going straight to my tubePod favorites! Thanks for an awesome rendition of an old classic!

  • @Internatube Thank you very much!

I love this old piece, It was fun to do on a 4 track : )

  • The part around the 2:00 mark is awesome.

  • @rkpenguin Thankx RK!

  • also much lack of remixes to this song, sigh, if sonic has the same name as it its doomed to end with badness

  • @ZSaberToothTigerZ thank you for your interesting comment! I'd like to hear some more comments from you about some other stuff i have uploaded~

  • i usually hate covers like this but this one is too unique...and the focus on the synths instead of wailing guitars are nice too.

  • @kly45 Thank you, great comment and it's really appreciated Kly.

    Paix et amour pour vous

  • Thats a wonderful comment, a great way to start off the day, thank you. Raymond had an "Electronium" synthesizer? That- I would love to see too! And I would love to play this with a band, live! Maybe, sometime in the future when I get my band together. I dont know what happened to the original 4 track master of what I did here, but if I could change anything it would be the 2nd opening chord ( builds up to the melody) I play it as a sus4 but there's a 7th in there. Thank you again! ツ☮

  • HI Angel, you're the best

    Thanks sweetheart

    ¶≡♬≡♪♫♬≡|♥≡☮≡♫≡☮♬≡| ツ

  • Fantastic video, Dan, I know my earliest influences were from the Looney Tune days. My mother used to sing a song to me about the animal fair: The monk, well, she got drunk and sat on the elephant's trunk. The elephant sneezed and fell on its knees and that was the end of the monk, the monk, the monk... Have you ever heard that one before?

  • LOL ........... I haven't, but i'm gonna look it up! .. Thats good ... hehe

Thanks Wild E coyote super genius / woops! I mean wild Bill ... lol......

    ツ

  • Here goes all of the tune's lyrics that I know:

We went to the animal fair, all the birds and beasts were there, the big baboon in the light of the moon was combing her auburn hair. The monk, well she got drunk...etc. Short but sweet and maybe I'll just have to sing it along with some harp.

  • This is fantastic my friend!!

  • Hey Lai thank you very much! From you it means that much more!

  • Excellent job Dan! I'll think of your version every time I watch looney toons. lol

  • Hey Rachel wassup! How are you?! Thank you for your comment, it's great to see you, I hope things are well with you!!

    Good ol' looney tunes hehe

    I'll stop by your channel,

    Thanks again! ;-)

  • My life is sucking pretty hard right now. I still haven't landed a job. My only friend in this city just moved to another state to get away from her newly ex'd boyfriend. I just want the relief of hearing "You're Hired!". Then I can breath! Until then, I'm going nuts!

  • Damn, sorry! Hard freakin times Rachel.. And without friends it's even harder, I know!

    Hang in there :-)

  • Cool picture slide show. Great music. Sounds great..

The BUGS BUNNY ROAD RUNNER SHOW was my VERY FAVORITE cartoon TV show when I was a kid~

I'd wake up at 6 am on every Saturday morning just to trip HARD on it~ :~D

It started out being an HOUR and HALF long for the 1st season, Which was PURE HEAVEN for a kid like me, and then it went down to one hour with the NEW title of "THE BUGS BUNNY ROAD RUNNER HOUR"~

I LOVED that show so much~ The soundtracks to LOONEY TUNES were SPECTACULAR~

    5 STARS~

  • Hi Eden

I'm right there with ya mate! Every Saturday morning i'd have my bowl of cereal then Bugs and Road Runner hour.. They were the best weren't they?

And I agree the Looney Tunes soundtracks were spectacular! And some cartoons had jazz and other musical genre's, which IMO was good for kids, unlike a lot of the cartoons today..Althought I really dig 'Adult Swim'... Thanks Eden!

    Peace

  • Fantastic, man! Crazy tune -- you might call it "looney"! I really like the slide show as well, especially how you timed the frame changes with the drum shots in some parts. Very nice fret work, great versatility.

    Thanks for sharing!

    ~SriJah

  • Hey SriJah, Thanks! Yeah man Raymond Scott didnt even intend this to be for cartoons, but Warner Bros. heard it and thought it would be great for their mad caps! This was fun to make, glad you noticed the frame changes..I appreciate the great comment SriJah, Thank you again!

  • Wow, whats up doc? That was incredible! I was wondering the other day when you were going to produce another piece. Great work Dan, it was well worth the wait!

    Daniel

  • Hi Daniel

Thank you! Yes, I figured it was about time to upload something, and this piece came to mind.. Raymond Scott was a great melody maker.. I heard this on the radio one day and thought to myself, "that would be fun to cover!" And it really was. I would love to play this out with a band sometime, give it a "sinister rock feel" to it... hehe..

    Thank you again Daniel!

    Peace

  • 2 38 excellent

  • Thanks!

    ;-)))

  • nice pics. my fave was of the big rusty steel thing out with the winter trees in an overcast day, and the pics of you working. the music was interesting. my fave is the changes at 0:32 and 2:50. :)

  • Hi Andres, Thank you for nice comment, those changes you mentioned are my favorite too, on the original the melody during those parts was played with a clarinet....Raymond Scott was quite a composer!

    Take care, thank you again!

    Peace :)

  • Great Dan,

    ...surprisingly hard to perform.

I like the way video is edited. Well composed that bridge construction vibrating and waves efect over some further shots. Zoom into the moon and the church towers on the very end are wonderful. Very interesting, needs to be watched more times again.

    (Racoon reflecting eyes - great)

  • Hi Paul, thank you, your comments are very much appreciated. This was a lot of fun, and yes, it was tricky recording the parts on a 4 track recorder! I'm glad you liked the pics... I'll have another video up soon. Thank you again! I'll stop by your channel soon

    take care my friend,

    Peace!

  • HI Alex! Thank you my beautiful friend, this was a fun one to put together, I actually recorded the music a long time ago, but thought it would be cool to upload ..Yeah Looney Tunes! I used to watch them every Saturday morning... lol..Raymond Scott was an amazing melody maker! And, he didnt even intend his music for cartoons, but Warner Bros did!

My hair was getting long! I had a few inches cut, Thank you for your comment Alex and for sharing my vid, you're a sweetheart

    Thank you again

    I'll be back around tomorrow

  • Hey Suze, Looney Tunes were the best weren't they?! Every Saturday morning during the 70's I'd be in front of the tv watching Bugs and the Warner Bros. mad caps...hehe.. Thank you for your wonderful comment, this was a lot of fun to put together. Raymond Scott was an amazing melody maker!

    Cheers Suze!

  • Hey Dan...I'm a Looney Tunes freak... this CAN'T be the same song!!! lol Just goes to show you that everything old can be made new again (except me perhaps...hahaha). Just gotta get it into the right hands. Fabuloso and filled with stars!!!

  • Hi Frank, yeah with a four track there's not too much room for much error, unlike my digital 8.. it's nice to have "undo" .. hehe.. I actually recorded this about 10 years ago.. Thought I would pull it out, it's a fun piece. Raymond Scott was amazing~

    Thank you Frank!

    Much appreciated, cheers!

  • What a pleasure it was to listen to another great arrangement.

  • Thank you very much Edro!

  • Damn GD...this tune has to be submitted to Chicago's Field Museum, for the simple fact; that's where they put old dinosaur bones after they are reassembled....only thing is...you morphed out this old relic and turned it into a transformer...that being said maybe it needs to be played during the skyshow at Adler Planetarium instead=)

    Best one yet brother...amazing !!!

    Pe@ce
