Last they saw em they were around the equivalent of 19-20th century Earth's technology and no form of space craft. Shadow Broker was only an exception. They're not very social creatures. Extremely violent too.

@PewPewPlasmagun Its a hack/mod. If you didn't realize, Liara goes through 'Grunt.' Its just Bioware somehow prepares Mass Effect with little bits that fit to any hacking situation. Like take a look at; Gatecrashing with Zaeed by Ascerute.

That's not how it works. Asari reproduction is as much physical as it is biotic. Get genetic material from biotic transfer doesn't make any sense, they need fluid exchange in order to acquire foreign DNA.

They meld with their partner to randomize the genes because melding lets them search through the other's genes and pick certain traits. They don't require physical contact or "fluids". The biotics have nothing to do with it, it's just why they sometimes have the blue "arua" that simbadawhale mentioned. Read the comment I responded to before responding to me.

They don't take any DNA from their partner because both pairs of genes are passed from mother to daughter. Their partner's genes only act as a "map" to randomize the mother's DNA. @Superluigi447 The leader of the Yahgs would likely be much easier to kill than the Broker, the Yahgs haven't achieved spaceflight yet, so their weapons and armor would be ineffective compared to the galactic standard, and I highly doubt they have anything close to shielding. As far as we know though, only the Broker was as smart as a Salarian, he willingly came off the Yahg homeworld, the others were barbarians.
