@nightfire734 I love how they REALLY get the crowd into the music. I saw them there. And OMG! they were so good on Buffalo Jump. They are SUCH an interactive band.
I just read a review of "Turn of the Wheel" on allmusic.com where the reviewer writes "When they do fulfill their ambitions, the group makes some of the most unique and varied heavy metal of the '90s. " Just wondering, did you guys know you are a heavy metal band??? I'd have never guessed :D
It looks like you are in FLorence...if so...I took a pic in front of that door...it is all clean now...they were just sprucing it up when I was there. Beautiful Church.
not really much like jethro tull at all. yes they have a flute, but its completely different style of music. definitely not bad, but i'm put off by the comparison with a band like jethro tull.
Oooh one other thing-can you team up with Andrea Corrs sometimes (yes and the sisters too). Not just for added eye-candy value (note the word added!) but it would make for a fabulously contrasting sound too!
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! James Galway -meets Ian Anderson -meets Roy Wood -Meets Celtic Rock. As a flute player who tried once to emulate Ian but but ended up playing Poulenc I can really appreciate this. Love the head banging bit in the kilt (but careful when the wind gets up (it). Love changes of beat -Great stop-start bass, brilliant lead guit. Im bookmarking it and CANT WAIT FOR MORE!! This is what the world needs. ORIGINALITY (but set in a tradition!). When u coming to England. I'L BE THERE!
Yeah!! Excellent arrangment in "celtic style" of this "Rokes" song!!.In Italy was named "Piangi con me"..I remember well!!. Ok!! Well done..very good!!.My compliments:"Thumb up" for you!!!
I really like this. Good music, good video, thanks for the heads up. I will be sharing on Facebook. One of my favorite songs for 40 years, I'm glad people are still playing it, and really glad that some of 'em are wearin' kilts :-)
You guys certainly rocked Martinez, wasn't planning on going to the King of the County BBQ Sunday, but knowing you'll be playing again tomorrow at 12:30...

Wow this was AWESOME guys it really was!! I love how you made it your version too, really nice and thanks so much sharing your amazing talents with me too!!
Way cool shirt. I always enjoy the music you play. I've never been a big fan of music videos (oddly enough) as I would rather just listen to the music and let my mind take me. I always prefer actual live. Just me I guess. Anyway, I can't be there but if I ever get close to you guys or visa versa I'll be there. You're a group (in all it's variations) I've wanted to see live. Best of success with the new album.
@sentinal133 That is in front of a HUGE Catholic Church in San Francisco just up the hill from China Town. I can't remember the name of the church, but it's a famous one.
I saw you guys play in Monterey, CA, about 15 years ago - and I was smitten! Ever since then I've been hopeful you'd come to So Cal for a show, but no such luck. :-( And now that you're in Washington... Well, guess I won't be seeing you in concert again any time soon - but I will remain ever hopeful! I like this video, good job, keep it up!! ~A long-time fan in SoCal
Precisely what I was thinking colindominy...it is wonderful to hear the essence of Tull...such a beautiful, energized performance of a great song. Thanks for sharing this with me, singerandasong...
Yeah .. yokai1968 below has taken the words right out of my mouth. This is a GREAT sound, guys !! Congrats. The genre is clearly similar to the ever-famous, timeless Jethro Tull style .. a most refreshing & appealing 'roots' sound, in the comparative rather drearier context of what else is around out there these days.
This is an excellent version of "Let's live for today" here in Italy this song became popular in 1966 when it was recorded by Rokes (the English band of Shel Shapiro, author of music).
