  • RE: singerandasong has shared a video with you on YouTube

    Google

SMILE says John Joseph O'Brien :-)

  • not really much like jethro tull at all. yes they have a flute, but its completely different style of music. definitely not bad, but i'm put off by the comparison with a band like jethro tull.

  • Sounds great!

  • an "EXCELLENT" rendition of a Classic song! =0]

  • Sweet. Wish the flute was a bit louder---love that flute

  • @hoggdawn I agree. I'm a Tull fanatic and the flute definitely needed to come up in the mix. Great musicians though. A nice touch for an old classic.

  • Spot on!!

  • I would love to see this band perform live.

When are you coming to Detroit?

  • evergreen!!!!

  • bella canzone

  • Oooh one other thing-can you team up with Andrea Corrs sometimes (yes and the sisters too). Not just for added eye-candy value (note the word added!) but it would make for a fabulously contrasting sound too!

  • ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! James Galway -meets Ian Anderson -meets Roy Wood -Meets Celtic Rock. As a flute player who tried once to emulate Ian but but ended up playing Poulenc I can really appreciate this. Love the head banging bit in the kilt (but careful when the wind gets up (it). Love changes of beat -Great stop-start bass, brilliant lead guit. Im bookmarking it and CANT WAIT FOR MORE!! This is what the world needs. ORIGINALITY (but set in a tradition!). When u coming to England. I'L BE THERE!

  • a great adaptation of the original with your own Celtic twist -excellant .

  • nice

  • Leif-

Way cool shirt. I always enjoy the music you play. I've never been a big fan of music videos (oddly enough) as I would rather just listen to the music and let my mind take me. I always prefer actual live. Just me I guess. Anyway, I can't be there but if I ever get close to you guys or visa versa I'll be there. You're a group (in all it's variations) I've wanted to see live. Best of success with the new album.

  • Awesome song.

  • great song

  • Hey there Leif and Michael great video! I would love to know where it was filmed though. Also, where are the Kilts :o)

    Love ya!

  • @sentinal133 That is in front of a HUGE Catholic Church in San Francisco just up the hill from China Town. I can't remember the name of the church, but it's a famous one.

  • I saw you guys play in Monterey, CA, about 15 years ago - and I was smitten! Ever since then I've been hopeful you'd come to So Cal for a show, but no such luck. :-( And now that you're in Washington... Well, guess I won't be seeing you in concert again any time soon - but I will remain ever hopeful! I like this video, good job, keep it up!! ~A long-time fan in SoCal

  • Great

  • Precisely what I was thinking colindominy...it is wonderful to hear the essence of Tull...such a beautiful, energized performance of a great song. Thanks for sharing this with me, singerandasong...

  • Yeah .. yokai1968 below has taken the words right out of my mouth. This is a GREAT sound, guys !! Congrats. The genre is clearly similar to the ever-famous, timeless Jethro Tull style .. a most refreshing & appealing 'roots' sound, in the comparative rather drearier context of what else is around out there these days.
