  • To my surprise some of the ex WWII army ammunition I have still has cordite as the propellent. I still use it as the rounds are as good as the modern rounds. More cleaning though due to the corrosive primers.

  • LOL i love the beginning & ending credits .......... black & white , a nice touch!

  • ill buy one off u 4 $10.00

  • Cool Video, I have never heard of cordite.

  • @davidsquall351

most if not all of the british made .303 WW1 & WW2 military ammunition is cordite

  • So does it burn faster when its not as old?

  • @sackcheck No..when confined under pressure. I shoot this ammo too as is in my 500 BPE video.

  • im looking at some kynoch .577-450 MH i have to ask how hard was it to

pull the bullet out ive heard that cordite is real hard on rifles and wears

    the gun faster.

  • @camerl2009 Bullets are easy to pull. The Cordite is very corrosive and so is the mercuric primers. They'll shoot fine but clean the weapon very thoroughly when done immediately . Use hot soapy water first then a good bore solvent like Hoppes #9 and then use Break Free to protect the barrel

  • lol cordite is like half dynamite

  • Old ammo is COOL!!! You n=may have to trim the shells down a bit to fit your new worthless modern rifle - but please do so!!! That is what my Uncle Ned taught me and he always got his deer. So trim em down and shoot em up - fine stuff!!!

  • so im watching this vid and at 3:40ish i think i get a text message on my samsung. apparently he has the same sound on his phone haha!

  • @rroberts383 I have a iPhone now...the old phone will go on a one way trip to the range.

  • Trim youre nails, lol.

  • Same type of powder as the Pakistani .303 BR?

  • Could be. I don't have any Paki ammo. I have some .303 dated 1909.

  • the box probably wont last the next 100 years if you touch it without gloves which protects the paper, color etc. from sweat.

  • it i mean help

  • ok well i have a glock and i gamed and i cant get the bullet out help please please reply

  • do u have a glock 19 lessen please reply

  • Not yet. We are concentrating on the manufacture of premium and specialty ammunition for now. We throw in a few ger reviews but eventually we will get into particular weapon systems and how to use them tactically along with team sized operations.

  • i have a glock 23 and i love it

  • how much does that bullet weigh please reply thanks

  • 345grs.

  • GREAT

  • When you say that cordite has been out of production for 70 years do you mean a specific type or as a whole? As cordite manufacture didn't cease in the UK till the end of the last century.

  • Couple of questions. One, Did they, or could they have reloaded this ammo "back in the day" like we can do now? And if so, how would they ask for or measure the charge of propellant? In strands(or sticks) or grains like today?

  • Yes they did. If it was black powder it was measured out in volume and if it was Cordite it was the number of sticks.

  • I know. Smokeless is pretty durable.

  • I'll have to watch it again, to understand it further. The cordite was burning so slowly, how could it have propel such a heavy bullet? Thanks.

  • Because it burns much FASTER when it's under pressure; the pressure inside the case (caused by the ignition of the primer, and the pressure "stepping up" as the cordite begins to burn) is what really gives smokeless propellants their boost over black powder.

  • Don't worry, I've got a lot to cover so you'l be seeing a lot more.

  • Keep it coming man, Your doing us a great service

  • Ammosmith: Great Stuff. More like this. I love the history of shooting and cartridges. I loved it. --Mykal
