  • I have one just like her " Sun Joe" splits mesquite wood just fine but it has trouble splitting seasoned oak .

  • the cutting area is the splitting wedge

  • I have one of these and a gas powered one. These machines are pretty safe.  You could put a 12 year-old to work with one and unless the kid is some kind of milhouse van houten should be able to operate them without losing an eye.

    You cut the wood into rounds with a chain saw.
