Thanks for the clarification. The point i was trying to make, and what I think is still valid, is that they did a good job of humanizing his character. I very much liked the scene where the Saudi police guys (both) go home and you see that they love their families just like we do. Regular people from a different society are still regular ppl.

Also Ashraf is not Palestinian that is Ali Suliman. Ashraf Barhom (Not Barhoum by the way), is from Israel. He is an Israelian otherwise known as Israelis. He grew up in Galilee, he is Israeli, of Arabic heritage. He is Muslim. Don't believe me. Go do some research on him.

I am not sure of his exact orgins, but I feel that he is a great actor either way, I do know that he received, or was nominated for what would be the Israeli equivalent of an Oscar. Bra, dis movie is really really good. I don't usually like watching this kind of movies cause i would always get bored, but dude this is so not. In the Beginning of this movie the Americans were very irritating towards Cornel Algahzi. But he was only doing his job to protect them. But wen he gets killed in the end thats wen all the regrets start pouring in. You see, no matter where we come from we can at least show respect, even if we are at war with with each other.

Yes, that is really sad. Hopefully, pretty soon we could clean our minds from the darkness' garbage and let the wonderful light of God "in the right way" shines as it must to shine. But, It must to start inside of our hearts. People, take a time to think about it.

Good Job Ashraf ! He's called an Arab-Israeli, but in reality Arab Israelis are Palestinians granted by the fact that they are familiarly related to the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. But that was a great role, he's awesome!

Right. However, Arabs and Israelies are related since the very begining. Israelies come from Isaac and Arabs come from Ismael; they were brothers, sons of Abraham. So, Arabs and Israelies are cousins. Then, why do they hate very much each other? And if there are discrepances why not to try fix them with love, mercy, etc. Always, it is better speak than fight. Gives better results.

I don't deny that we share roots. But in reality, most Jews now are not semitic (Especially European and Russian jews called "Ashkinaz"). I don't have anything against a Jew that has nothing against Palestinians as a nation. I had a great jewish friend who beleived in a single state solution where Jews and Arabs coexist in a secular democracy. I agree with you, its better speak than fight :)

I just saw the movie. It is a great action movie, very meaningfull. The movie shows both aspects: the good and the evil side and there is no one win at the end. Ashraf is a great actor. He does portrait a great patriot, an excellent soldier and an outstanding partner.

I just had to look him up as soon as I watched the movie. Googled him and oogled him on screen lol A very good actor. Love it alot. Hope to see more and more of him on the big screen.

Also, I am very clear that Ashraf Barhoum is a normal dude, like you said; but, the diference is that when I saw him playing that role in the movie, he made me feel those beautiful things, those good feelings.
Don't you think, it is better to say something nice if that comes out from the heart, of course, than to say something evil and make people feel bad or hurt their feelings.

Agreed pepole....Ashraf was simply amazing..he was so natural in his character and was effortless in bringing out all what his character was all about...hats off to Ashraf...and yep a very delicate and effective movie...sure hope to see more of Ashraf...

That was really a brilliant movie. Ashraf Barhoum was really great actor, as well as Jammie Foxx (of course!)... I would buy this movie in a heart beat when it is released on DVD.

Bra, dis movie is really really good. I don't usually like watching this kind of movies cause i would always get bored, but dude this is so not. In the Beginning of this movie the Americans were very irritating towards Cornel Algahzi. But he was only doing his job to protect them. But wen he gets killed in the end thats wen all the regrets start pouring in. You see, no matter where we come from we can at least show respect, even if we are at war with with each other.

Ashraf Barhom was the best actor in the movie, no doubt. He gave his character deep, and he was actually the only person I cared about in the movie. Im really impressed by this man. Great actor, does he have some site for fans?
