  • "Listen,mr eeh...specialagent Fleury. 47 of my men were blown to hundreds of pieces that will take months to collect them. 80 000 officers across the country.Thousands of people that can forge identity. I´m very sorry,I apoligize I dont have definitive answer!"

Or the very funny cause Bateman isnt funny in this one...-"By the way,I...dont like your jokes." Not only was him name clusterfucked along with Suleyman...THEY GOT HIS NAME WRONG. Bahroum? If his name was on the poster,he´d be a star...

  • in the end of movie, "Colonel Faris al Ghazi" must be written on top of all characters. I think he is the most strong character of "The Kingdom"

  • Crappiest movie ever!

  • the best actor for me!!

  • by far this guy was the best actor in the movie

  • I'm fascinated by the person who claims to be related to Ashraf... If I say that I'm related to the inventor of mechanical pencils will people believe it? ROFL.

  • "I would bring a soap and wash your mouth!" - BEST LINE IN THE FILM! :-D

  • GUYS! Ashraf Barhom is not a muslim.. he's christian... i am also from Galilee. Israel.. he is originally from a village called Tarshiha which is very close to where I live... and my mother is friends with his mother which also appeared in one of his movies "The Syrian Bride".. :)

  • @dina121212 its not about Ashraf Barhom, its about Colonel Faris. we liked him for his character and his acting. he is such a talented actor. it dsn't matter whether he's a Muslim or a Christian

  • What a lovely modest man...He was great in 'The Kingdom' I really enjoyed the film.Hope to see him again in something else soon...not just 'Clash of the Titans'

    x

  • he is christian u bunch of retards

  • THE BEST MOVIE EVERRRR!! I like this guy, if it wasnt for him, i wouldnt cry

  • He's one of my fave actors! He was awesome as Ammonius in the movie Agora.

  • asraf is a good looking fine young man... hot and sexy as hell!!!!!!!!!

  • Arabs who live in Israel .. they are Palestinian. !!

  • He's more of a leading man (emphasis on "man"), than most of the pretty boys glutting Hollywood right now.

  • he was great in lebanon, creepy

  • @dontleademsomuch Is there a movie called "Lebanon" ?

  • @MaddSeason yeah, look it up he plays a phalangist

  • The Green Beast! :)

  • This actor is hyper talented and he is right that the plot doesn't bore one with cliches or other stereotypes. It reveals typical bureaucratical obstacles in KSA like a stamp from Israel in your passport, that terrorism represents a problem that hasn't gotta be necessarily committed in western industrialized countries but has concerned in the 1990ies even cities in the country which is the centre of Islam, i.e. Saudi Arabia. Ashraf Barhom acts here far better than the rest of the cast- MABROUK!

  • Brooke is Beautiful!!

  • @noka1007 lol! you are so mesmerized with him eh? and yes he is handsome, hot and sexy like hell

  • ....... the last words of this movie - "don't worry - we will kill them all" in both languages ......

  • He gave a great performance in The Syrian Bride, good actor all round.

  • He is a Christian. I have met him personally and he is a great guy. I live in a village not far from Tarshiha (the village that he is from). His an Arab not Israeli. An Israeli is a Jew. He is a Palestinian Arab. He is sooooo good looking in real life. He did a great job on this film and the Golden Globe winning Paradise Now. Catch him in his next role in the film Coriolanus opposite Ralph Fiennes.

  • israel where on the map? get a history book love! or better yet u probably couldn't read. So dont and keep your faith with israel.

  • he did justice to the movie

  • Seriously, he was awesome in The Kingdom. He made the movie worth seeing til the end and he out-acted everyone. His acting made me cry, too... Great actor!!!

  • omg ur so rite

  • ckewl

  • I freakin love this dude!! He was so good in The Kingdom...I hope they made him rich after that movie. I second that 'Mskatay,' he is pretty hot lmaoo. And soo cuteee :)

  • that dude was freaking awesome in the movie..i was soo pissed when he died at the end..but great movie definitely!

  • Really? I can't find "Palastine" on the map. I can find "Israel" though!

  • yes he was in the the Syrian bride!!

and jeffinphx... actually he's Ashraf is a christian arab! yes yes! we do exist!!

although what really matters is that he's a greta actor! that make us palestinian pretty proud!

  • Thanks for the clarification. The point i was trying to make, and what I think is still valid, is that they did a good job of humanizing his character. I very much liked the scene where the Saudi police guys (both) go home and you see that they love their families just like we do. Regular people from a different society are still regular ppl.

  • he is plain hot...

  • Good to see an Arab Muslim as a respectable, sympathetic character. A nice change in US movies. Hope it helps to see that not everyone of every belief is defined by those that claim their religion as a basis for violence.

  • @jeffinphx He is not a Muslim, he is Christian! Get it right people.

  • @Sunflower281979 DearSunflower .... I was talking about his character in the movie. See, where I said 'nice change in US movies' that should have given u a decent clue........ Why don't u getit right and stop trying to correct especially when you're wrong. Pls read more carefully before 'correcting' me or anyone else again. TY :)

  • @jeffinphx he is a christian not a muslim!

  • @jeffinphx

well.. he is christian by the way..

cuz he is my cousin !!

  • @Vkviruskiller how old is he ? he is cute

  • @uzizoe04

    he is 34 now..

and yeah he is so cute :)

  • @Vkviruskiller Is he married ?

  • @uzizoe04 no...

  • mind-blowing acting in The Kingdom. very impressive. hats off to him.

  • He's hot, end of story.

  • He's christian.

  • realy amazing actor,

i also cried when he died :/

    amazing film !

  • Yes, me too. My tears came out when you, Colonel Al Ghazi died.

  • ALL HAIL AL GHAZIIII

  • What are you trying to say? What does mean?

  • it was a very nice movie and i loved

    Faris al ghazi

  • Arabs hate Jews because they stole their land-simple as that. Stop trying to spread zionist propaganda, shomk.

  • He is an amazing actor. I would have found it to be a great honor to meet him. Good job. :] Do you know how old he really is?

  • Also Ashraf is not Palestinian that is Ali Suliman. Ashraf Barhom (Not Barhoum by the way), is from Israel. He is an Israelian otherwise known as Israelis. He grew up in Galilee, he is Israeli, of Arabic heritage. He is Muslim. Don't believe me. Go do some research on him.

  • EmoSalad - I have seen it spelled both ways. But the press information that was released to me by the studio had his name spelled Barhoum, so I went with that. I am not sure of his exact orgins, but I feel that he is a great actor either way, I do know that he received, or was nominated for what would be the Israeli equivalent of an Oscar. I don't remember the exact details, this interview was months ago. But thank you for watching.

  • @EmoSalad sorry but Ashraf is a CHRISTIAN!

  • @EmoSalad ya he is a palestinian originally and he grow up in a small arabic village called tarshiha

  • @EmoSalad Hallo my friend, this man is no MUSLIM, he is an Israeli Christian, just like me, he was in the school with my brother. he studied in Haifa University, and then went to the US. ur information is false. wannted to correct it..

    peace

  • @EmoSalad Hallo my friend, this man is no MUSLIM, he is an Israeli Christian, just like me, he was in the school with my brother. he studied in Haifa University, and then went to the US. ur information is false. wannted to correct it..

    peace

  • @EmoSalad I did and he is Palestinian and Christian, the only thing you got correct was that he is from Galilee.

  • @EmoSalad

lol.. he is my cousin !! :)..

    and he is christian..

thanks for trying to make people muslims.. but he is not.. he is my cousin and i'm proud of him.. have a nice life

  • @EmoSalad he is Christian by the way , he is not muslim

  • Okay let me get this straight with you all. Muslims, Arabs, Israelis are much like American religions. They both have a good side and a bad side to them. For instance the Christian religion has both the people who force religion down your throat and people who accept others. Muslims have the ones who suicide bomb and others who are against that in all manners still however, praising one god; Allah. Allah is a nameless god said throughout many religions for ex. Christians, Jews, and Pagan Meccans

  • ashraf barhoum :D:D

  • no he is Palestinian

  • Ashraf was my favorite character in The Kingdom.

My favorite part is right after the when Jason Bateman is pulled out of the overturned suburban.

Ashraf leans out of the window of the overturned SUV, and shoots the commander of the kidnappers in the leg, while Jamie Foxx rolls up and shoots him while he's down.

    That was awesome.

  • my favorite was sargent haythem. mmm

  • haha, I love listening to foreign people in interviews like this. They always try really hard to get their point across, but you always know what they mean.

  • cool actor Ashraf Barhoum

  • Ashraf is so great in the Kingdom. Go Ashraf!!

  • his acting was superb !!!!!

  • Is he actually Saudi or something else?

  • he is palestinian, born in galilee. Palis rock!

  • That's awesome. Agreed about your last comment.

  • palestinians r the best

  • I love his accent

  • He made a awesome job representing a Aranbian police, he must go to hollywood

  • they help you to go in hell

  • because u r smarter than a chicken

  • Yes, he is. MMMUUAA!!!

  • this movie is great! a sad realisation that peace is yet a ray of thin light in the dark

  • Yes, that is really sad. Hopefully, pretty soon we could clean our minds from the darkness' garbage and let the wonderful light of God "in the right way" shines as it must to shine. But, It must to start inside of our hearts. People, take a time to think about it.

  • Good Job Ashraf ! He's called an Arab-Israeli, but in reality Arab Israelis are Palestinians granted by the fact that they are familiarly related to the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. But that was a great role, he's awesome!

  • Right. However, Arabs and Israelies are related since the very begining. Israelies come from Isaac and Arabs come from Ismael; they were brothers, sons of Abraham. So, Arabs and Israelies are cousins. Then, why do they hate very much each other? And if there are discrepances why not to try fix them with love, mercy, etc. Always, it is better speak than fight. Gives better results.

  • I don't deny that we share roots. But in reality, most Jews now are not semitic (Especially European and Russian jews called "Ashkinaz"). I don't have anything against a Jew that has nothing against Palestinians as a nation. I had a great jewish friend who beleived in a single state solution where Jews and Arabs coexist in a secular democracy. I agree with you, its better speak than fight :)

  • " Then, why do they hate very much each other? " - not "each other", but arabs hate Israelis...

Ashraf Barhoum Israeli arab, graduated Haifa University. How many jews do you know in arabic countries that graduated university and did such a success?

  • lol why do u pose a onesided question. arabs hate israelis. lol i have seen so many things that makes ur question a lie. amazing u ppl coem with weak lies. israelis and arabs are trying but it is the governments who feed hatred and parents who feed hatred. dont say it is just arabs it takes 2. reality pls reality.

  • I Love This Movie Better Than Syriana.I Hope They Make Another Movie In The Arabian Gulf Such As Qatar,Bahrain Or Kuwait So The World Will Know The Life Style In These Countries Like The Scene When Alghazi setting With His Son And serg. Haythem with his Father Praying Togather That Was A Beautiful Scene.

  • You are right. It is a great movie!

  • There's something about this man....so sexy!

  • No one really won. The bomber's grandson has hate in his heart for Americans. He will grow up a terrorist.

  • He's actually a christian, not a muslim

  • I just saw the movie. It is a great action movie, very meaningfull. The movie shows both aspects: the good and the evil side and there is no one win at the end. Ashraf is a great actor. He does portrait a great patriot, an excellent soldier and an outstanding partner.

  • ASHRAF BARHOUM and ALI SULIMAN did a great job in this movie! How old is Ashraf and Ali? Any info about them? They are just so hot!!!! ASHRAF might not be so handsome but he's got SEX APPEAL and ALI oh my! what a Hottie!

  • Ashraf ! u did a great job ... i expect a brightful future for u in the acting field ... the movie was a great and i lioked the performance of the most actors ... my greetings to the movie staff in general.

  • There are a lot of palestinians in northern Israel actually. I'm one of them, and so is Ashraf. I'm related to him.

  • He's palestinian but yes he lives in Israel

  • I just saw this movie.. damm it was good.. and this actor is hot as hell..haha I was SOO pissed when he got killed.. He is very handsome.. good lord..

Jason Bateman.. as usual is always the funny guy.. this movie is def added to my top 5

  • I suspect this guy did not get paid nearly enough. He was certainly the only actor who was any good in this film.

  • he seems realy great never new who he was cool and he did a great job in the movie sad what happens to his character thought but great movie

  • I bought the dvd only because of this guy...what is it about him?

  • i loved him in the movie... he is cute too

  • He's not muslim, he's christian.. I'm related to him and i'm from the same city he is from....

  • Are you really related to Ashraf Barhoum? Do you know if he has a fan website, a myspace, or email so fans can write to him? He's such a good actor!!! I know a lot of people would love to send him mail! Any help would be appreciated!

  • Sorry y'all... that last comment was for ninamek07 who claims to be related to Ashraf... or really for any one who knows the answer to the question...

  • way to go ashraf..great acting,now i really know he exist..lol..great acting

  • I felt really bad when he had to die in the end of the movie :(

  • He was my favorite character in the movie, I was so pissed when he died.

  • I just had to look him up as soon as I watched the movie. Googled him and oogled him on screen lol A very good actor. Love it alot. Hope to see more and more of him on the big screen.

  • he is sexy!

  • Barhoum, you are a very talented and natural actor. That is a very nice gift from God.

God loves you so much, so do I.

    Latin blue moon night.

  • Congratulations, Barhoum. Amazing, amazing acting. Good job, as good as the others in the film; but, you made the movie, and you made my day, nice.

    You know what Ashraf? You are so cute;

however, playing the "Al Ghazi" role, you were gorgeous. Ashraf, you are like the one my doctor prescribed to me.

I love you in the movie.

I want and hope to hear and see more about you.

God bless and be with you!

    As Salaam Alaikum!

  • girl there is something wrong with u...

  • Nothing wrong with me, 300% sure. Why? Perhaps, there is something wrong with u.

  • becouse his just a normal dude.. your so over doing it.

  • You know what? everybody has his/her own opinion. That is my OWN opinion. I know you have yours. I respect it. That's fine.

    God bless you.

  • well thank you. and my own opinion was directed at u..... lolz salam sis, and his name is allah, so allah bless u 2. ;)

  • Thank you.

  • Do you know what does Allah mean?

Allah is an arabic word that means "The God" so when I say God bless you, I say, Allah bless you.

  • exactly, so why use god. it aint his real name.

  • What I can see is that you are a muslin, that is nice. However, I am not.

    Anyway, God be with you.

  • i never really said that, what u should see is that im arab.. anyways god be with u to.

  • Also, I am very clear that Ashraf Barhoum is a normal dude, like you said; but, the diference is that when I saw him playing that role in the movie, he made me feel those beautiful things, those good feelings.

Don't you think, it is better to say something nice if that comes out from the heart, of course, than to say something evil and make people feel bad or hurt their feelings.

  • yes i do... but what u said was just crazzy talk. it made u sound like a freak,, hey sis, i didnt mean to offend u or anything, im just here to help u out.

  • omg (ya allah) dudes this conversation was going so well guys stop ruining it

  • i like this guy. he's hella cool. too bad he had to die in the kingdom

  • yeah he was definitely good in that movie

  • Agreed pepole....Ashraf was simply amazing..he was so natural in his character and was effortless in bringing out all what his character was all about...hats off to Ashraf...and yep a very delicate and effective movie...sure hope to see more of Ashraf...

  • aww his soo cute

  • nice interview

  • He was probably the best actor in the film. Great character. Surprisingly was better at English in the movie than in real life! How often do you see that happen?

  • one of the best characters in the kingdom.

  • omg i love ashraf.. he is a very good actor and i think like ''Eurekas'' that Ashraf should get in moore U.S films.. but it was a bit sad when he died in the end :(

  • best movie of 2007 and best actor Ashraf Barhoum

  • Ashraf was AWESOME in The Kingdom. Him and Ali(who played Sergeant Haytham) need more roles in US films.

  • This guy rocks the planet

  • Ahsraf Barhom's and Ali Suliman's roles were best in this film. Both are great actors!

  • That was really a brilliant movie. Ashraf Barhoum was really great actor, as well as Jammie Foxx (of course!)... I would buy this movie in a heart beat when it is released on DVD.

  • i am waiting for tis movie !! my country will only have this at 22 nov T.T

  • this guy makes the film!!!

  • first of all Keliiholokai89 the amercians in the begining have a right to be irratited because they just got fucking blasted dude im sure u wouldve reacted the same way

and please get ur facts straight we and the americans are not at war with each other

  • Bra, dis movie is really really good. I don't usually like watching this kind of movies cause i would always get bored, but dude this is so not. In the Beginning of this movie the Americans were very irritating towards Cornel Algahzi. But he was only doing his job to protect them. But wen he gets killed in the end thats wen all the regrets start pouring in. You see, no matter where we come from we can at least show respect, even if we are at war with with each other.

  • dude i cried when he got killed by abu hamzas son

  • respect

  • gr8 actor...he is palestenian,, from his movies paradise now wich is golden glop winning and oscar nominated and ather movie called the syrian pride

  • YEAH he did kick ass!

  • Ashraf Barhom was the best actor in the movie, no doubt. He gave his character deep, and he was actually the only person I cared about in the movie. Im really impressed by this man. Great actor, does he have some site for fans?

  • I totally agree with you, he was the best actor in the movie, i would just like to add that jamie wasnt bad but i imagined denzel washington instead of jamie foxx and wow i thought that would be a great movie !!
