there is a large chunk missing...on the left side of the disc ,like the one on the right side . Clearly someone who had examined the disc carefully should have noticed something like that. They didnt, so there are 2 answers for that 1) they did but didnt tel us 2) they removed it witch is more lickly because of uneven corrosion. Everyone telling u that object on the disc is a bout is insane, u are more insane if u believe them. Where is the mark made in germany, didnt know germany existed then
We are located in Saxony in the south-eastern of Germany. There we discovered a phenomenon caused by sunlight at several stones. We assume a relation between menhir, dolmen and stone circle. It is also possible to watch a film on youtube: Die steinerne Himmelsscheibe
how did they know which days to mark as the solstices? - and for that matter the equinoxes? to know which day or night is the longest, or shortest, or to know if days and nights are equal in duration requires a time-measuring device - a clock...
The solstices are also when sun rises and sets furthest east and west. (Equinox is just a name for "the two days halfway between the two solstices.") All you have to do to discover them is sit in a circle marked on the ground and put pebbles where you see the sun set/rise. :)
