If you want to become a GREAT MATCH PLAYER go to my channel ( 2knowfun2 ) and watch two videos: World class tennis (part1/2) and (part2/2) . My two videos will teach you how to become a great match player... my two tennis videos have covered pretty much everything that is important in tennis...from "how to hit high quality groundstrokes" to "match play"... Everything important about tennis is compressed in my two tennis videos... Watch and become a Great match player
it's really interesting how he drops his wrist, unlike most textbook slice backhands. Much harder to execute with his 90 sq inch frame, but then again if you can pull it off, that's gold.
Dunno if drop shot or deep chip shot, but it proly landed where he aimed, notice how he hits it dead on the sweet spot. Federer has such great accuracy with his slice. Awesome video, thanks for sharing!!

The continental (all-purpose) grip produce, in my opinion, the most beautiful strokes on the backhand.

there is three things you need to do to have a slice like federer.
1) have a eastern forehand
2) you have to slice in moderation meaning you can't just chop it down like crazy
3) you have to tip toe when slicing. What that does is making sure you don't chop down.

@wind1357 Actually, thats not true. Three things you need to do to have a Federer BH slice.
1. Find a magic lamp.
2. Rub the lamp.
3. Ask the genie to give you the Federer slice.

I can't understand what means close up on tennis, can anybody explain? =)
lemospes 2 years ago
The camera is taking a close up view of Federer. It has nothing to do with tennis. Sorry if that was confusing.
I put it in the heading because lots of people complained about not being able to see parts of the player's body; now I just ignore those comments.
