  • If Ron Rifkin is behind this, you better watch out, fools! Sloan will pop a cap in you! ;-)

I SUPPORT YOU WRITERS! KEEP IT UP!

    -Nick

  • there are so many great people supporting this. Ben Stiller, C.S.I. cast, Scrubs cast, The Office, I really hope talks start soon and these writers get what they deserve.

  • I am a Canadian actor who fought for Canadian actor unions UBCP&ACTRA in 06 &07, who were also told by AMPTP there is no revenue in NewMedia!...let's stop their bully tactics..we want to get paid for our work&contributions to the product that makes AMPTP RICH,the corporations RICH!

  • I love that some of the actors are out there with them; that is awesome..I still can't believe this strike hasn't won the writers any compensation yet though...the corporations are being ridiculous!

  • "Take away our words and we're nothing". Truer words have never been spoken. Most seem uncomfortable without a script. On the plus size, I love Jeanne Tripplehorn.

  • you want your rights? VOTE DENNIS KUCINICH. DENNIS4PRESIDENT (google it). wake up or suffer. your choice. (and can you write something that i might remotely be interested in when you come back?)

  • Do I see Kathy Griffin? Hello Kathy Griffin, I love you! And I totally agree, I would be picketing with the WGA if I could. I'm an aspiring writer myself, and I don't want to work for a studio that isn't going to pay me for my work. That's the fundamental principle behind this strike.

  • HELLO ENQUIRE!!!!!! how are you doing ? i saw you on tape video! AT STRIKE i know that i really hate studio MF!!!!!!!! but my good friend actor enquire murciano ( WITHOUT A TRACE) SMILE bye sk curtis i m deaf

  • oh cmon.. they have nothin to do.

    fakin american politics.. like bush..

shut all up. you all have enough cars.

yeah cmon noobies give me thumbs down... omg.

  • camshaff, please go to India--and stay there.

  • Camshaff please do your homework before you post on average salaries please.

  • marg helgenberger, or whatever her name is is an ass, "god bless your courage and god bless your strength etc. etc."

i'm all in favour of the writers but she seems to be under the impression that they're off to iraq or something.

if thats what actors say when they've nobody to tell them what to say, well the sooner this strike is resolved the better.

  • I agree! Man- we have soldiers going off to war and dying for our country- and hardly ANY hollywood celebs get outspoken. BUT TAKE AWAY THEIR MONEY- and oh my gosh! Out they come.

  • GO WGA!

  • The strike is good on some levels and bad on others. Mostly bad for the working classes that make way less than they do, as someone here has already mentioned.

It's good in the fact that the uncreative professional money makers are sweating in their boots.

  • Yep I could do without TV also !!!

  • good call. I support their right to strike but they shouldnt make everyone strike and they should think about their fellow actors/writers.

  • I agree, although I do think the writers should get revenue from the internet AND Dvd's.

BUT, why not wait until june 30th when SAG will go with you.

how many people will lose everything waiting for SAG to join you ???

TV can go w/o writers because the multi-nationals, could care less, if TV goes to reruns, but SAG could stop the film industry on july 1 and then you have some pull.

GE, Viacom et all, would rather bomb Iraq then give the WGA any money, but SAG could stop them cold.

  • It's called a Union, not a Dowhateveryoufeellikeion. Sometimes you make a good case, but the people who pay you don't listen. So you have to go a step further. How sleazy is it to ban someone who is jeopardizing the case, throwing the case out the window, pissing on it?

  • Idaho, I concur with your opinion. Sounds to me like they're robbing writers who might want to seize an opportunity the privilege of personal choice.

  • Or they don't want history to repeat itself and screw themselves out of money...again.

  • What about the crewmembers who don't have an 'alliance'? And the viewers who will go without their favorite shows? Viewers and crewmembers are casualties of a bickering war between executives and writers. It should have been kept behind closed doors. Us viewers don't 'owe' you our support. When your ambitions to hold Hollywood hostage go awry, just remember you brought it on yourselves.

  • HAHAHA, I think Sean Astin's interview got edited down a bit. 'Sean, you're not worthless. You just need to think more positive.'

Stay the course, WGA. This is the future and I'm behind you, for as long as it takes.

  • For those who claim the writers are spoiled, you have to understand that the film industry isn't as easy as some people think. Unless you are a studio exec, you don't always have a job. Writer, actors, directors, etc. aren't always garanteed work. They are looking out for their families. Also, they make money from residuals, so they should also make money from the internet stuff. It's the studios are who keeping all the money, so you aren't really justified when you get annoyed by the writers

  • I wouldn't mind these people going on strike if they actually wrote something worth watching.

If the usual stuff I see on TV and at the movies is the best they can do, well, they're grossly overpaid.

  • GO WGA! Call the Feds and tell them to open the books. They will talk!

  • I support the WGA. More power to all of them for fighting for not only what is right but for what they are entitled to. Power in numbers! Hang Tough WGA! <3 Mandy

  • A mob is not an honorable thing. Sorry to disappoint you.

  • The folks who are posting on YouTube complaining how "spoiled" the writers are probably think that the people taking their order at McDonald's make as much as Wolfgang Puck because it's all food service, after all.

  • Solidarity!

  • If the stars picket at Universal Studios Hollywood, is the Universal Hollywood theme park still open to the public - especially for theme park fanatics?

  • Go John Amos. Love him. Of course, Billy and Gary are looking hot as usual. Sarah Silverman said it the best though. I mean hello! Pay them

  • I'm so glad that the SAG and WGA are uniting on this front. We need the writers! Give them what they deserve.

  • UNION! POWER! nice vid
