  • "Our Love Was, Is" rip

  • Not bad...not great either

Interesting to think this came from California, sounds decidedly Brittish.

This has nothing on The Creation though.

  • @PAULLONDEN Bollocks !! I disagree, this song is as good as any of the Creation's work. I have nothing but respect for Eddie Phillips he's a great songwriter & guitar innovator but this song would not be out of place on the Who Sell Out record because it's that good..

  • @jimiaxe

Agreed - This kicks ass, and as much as I like The Creation, the production is better too. Not to mention the hooks.

  • this is maximum r&b, it's so good it can't be a put on surely! yeah it really rocks it's number 1! ( I still don't believe it's real, I want more!)

  • Can someone post Got to Find the Light here? I have it but don't know how to post it. It was a big hit for them in '72. Reminscent of Simon & Garfunkel, really beautiful song.

  • Thanks Rich.. were you in the same room as the amp for the recording?

  • Is the guitar player using a dropped tuning to get the low growl out of his Rickenbacker?

  • For the recording of the song Gladly I used a Gibson with normal tuning and played through a Fender Showman Head with 1x15" cabinet cranked way up. No effects were used.

    Thanks,

    Rich

  • I've got this album very good, in a perfect who-ish style, few '60 garage band in usa act like this

    thank

  • Hello,

Yes, Powder was a real band in 1968. For more information do a Google search on Biff Bang Powder.

    Thanks for the inquiry,

    FZ
