  • this is one time i will say "japan's soundtrack just got its ass handed to him"

  • The US soundtrack is very ambient and dramatic, but the JP is catchy as hell.

  • my fav sonic cd music

    5.PP Past

    4.PP Present jp

    3.PP G F jp

    2.SS BF us

    1.Robotnik jp

  • At least the remake has both versions. And they loop, too.

  • its funny how the JP version plays in europe too but no one ever mentions eu/jp. they just say jp nd us

  • US Good Future KICKS ASSS!!! But I respect both soundtracks

  • @demillara92310 what do you mean the US good future kicks ass

the US present and bad future sound awesome but the US good future deosn't sound good

    oh well, that's your opinion

  • @TheSmashbros45 The US good future is a lot more intense. This is appropriate because... in the Japanese version, the bad future plays against Metal Sonic no matter what. In the US version, the good future music plays in the good future against Metal Sonic, so it needs to be more driven (and it is).

  • @Ryusuta i like the us good future, but it doesn't fit as a good future, it fits in the bad future

  • @TheSmashbros45 I dunno... I felt that too, for the first few notes, but it really does go into major keys and more upbeat, enthusiastic chords as the song goes on.

  • i don't like japenese Verson... it's just too Rap like... i say US Verson is better.

  • jp bad future for sonic generations \m/

  • what a dope soundtrack

  • Comment removed

  • i don't like the past one till 04:54(don't get me wrong its the opening where the dude made it sound a little too creepy) :P

but for the other ones its different? im confused :P

  • My favorite (excluding past version)

    JP present

    USA good future

    JP bad future

  • I'm gonna have to go with the US one. The Japanese one is way too happy; this level should have epic and serious-sounding music, and Spencer Nilsen delivers there.

  • JP wins on all counts on S.SPEEDWAY, US might just take Palm tree Panic tough.

  • sounds like jet set radio songs maybe any of hideki nagamuna

  • gotta love the us bad future. perfect music to battle metal sonic.

  • @sssdfrfwrgr i agree

  • US version is good, but i prefer the JP version.

  • i like both versions

  • Same here. In my opinion, both soundtracks had something to offer. I do believe Sega could have put both soundtracks on one disc for our amusement, though; CDs had more than enough room at the time.

  • They both sound good. The Japanese fits well with all the moving lights and crazy stuff and as for the US the ambient sounds goes well with the star theme of the level and the beautiful background. I dislike the Japanese bad future though, it sounds too noisy and it has some elements of happiness in it which doesn't go well. The US bad future sounds emotionally sad and just blends well with the background perfectly. Don't get me wrong, i respect both soundtrack and they both sound great!

  • I sort of agree with you on the bad futures, but sort of don't. Both bad futures have the same feeling- a strangely happy tune, yet gritty and downbeat at the same time.

  • The bad future (US) music sounds way too happy to me.

  • Nah, it's the reverse for me. JP sounds too happy.

  • nah, jp has a happy tune, but sounds really unenthusiastic, as does the american. both show that in the bad future, the people really don't care any more.

  • @Nesplayer i think the bad future jap sounds like a badass police chase and suits the metal sonic race well

  • JAPENESE VERSON OWNS :p

  • YEAH! I PREFER THAT JAPANESE VERSION
