oh tell you what, i actually have my XFX GTS 250 box next to me, and it says on the side that you need 630 watt for 1 card, 680 watt 2X SLI and 710 Watt 3X SLI. so yes you're good on the power supply then

some are overclocked..aome are even superclocked..some have normal speeds..the xfx gts250 performs gud..but remains a lil hot..if ur in the US u shud buy EVGA..if u live in some other country, XFX is the best..i dont kno much about palit's quality..no one i know has bought anything from that company..i have the xfx one

and the reason y i pointed out ur question is that nvidia is the company that designs these cards..they come up with the technology..all gts 250's by xfx , palit , evga , gigabyte, sparkle etc etc are nvidia cards with diffrnt manufacturers..the other big company in this business is ATI..i dont know of any 3rd contender

there are the same card give or take a few FPS 9800GTx+ and the GTS250 are on the same GPU set the G92 so there might be a fow FPS but really it dose not matter witch one you need but i do thinl the 9800GTX+SC need more power if you have the power dose not really matter

gts250 is actually better, even tho they say that they are the same cards but with different names, the gts250 has a new architecture,and the 9 series where a total blowout, some of the cards were unstable and broke pretty quick. So i would say , go for the GTS250:)

GTS 250 is using the same graphic processing unit "G92" which was used by 9800gtx and 8800gtx which means that its 3 year old and nvidia keeps modifiying it everytime instead of releasing a new one.But since its a awesome gpu the card rulz!! I used to prefer 4850 over this because it has a newer processing unit,newer artitecture etc. but gts 250 beats it!

The artitecture is the same of the 9 series which was same of the 8,only the gpu size is smaller and silgnt clock differences.

The GTS 250 doesn't use a G200, it uses a G92. Same thing as the 9800GTX+, 9800GTX and the 8800GTS 512MB (not 8800GTX as originally stated, that used a G80).

the evga gts 250 is better than the xfx gts 250....the vga version has a higher core speed the evga is at 756mhz and the xfx is something like 738mhz....and i didn't know but the evga also comes with a free copy of 3dmarkvantage...actually is not a copy is just a serial number so you can register it...and the vga also comes with a 10% off on the nvidia store and a 10 dolars off on the badaboom media converter. both cards the xfx gts 250 and the evga gts 250 are pretty good.

2. the gts 250 will rin cooler because the gpu is 55 nm and is smaller die so is going to run cooler than the 9800gtx+

They both have 128stream processors and if you look at the codename for the gts 250 it is a g92!!!!!!!! So it is a rename of a 9800gtx!
