@MsSomethingsilly Allegedly witnessed... as the BennyJennyJ1 succinctly puts it in the (currently) latest comment, this whole thing seems a bit of an underhand movie promo. Or maybe it was a supernatural coincidence. It doesn't change the fact the Lutz hauntings are an admitted - if unrecognized by many - hoax, something you would expect this actress and certainly the film makers to have been unaware of.

The haunting of the Lutzs though, the basis for the Amityville Horror book and films, are an admitted well-marketed hoax.Even if some diehards still refuse to believe that. It's really just a grandiose urban myth - which makes the events described here seem a little disingenuous – that or Ms George here is hysterically given to the power of suggestion.

@johnnyfive222 I guess that's a possibility, but some of the things she refers to are specifically from the book/original film, such as waking at the murder time as George Lutz claimed, whatever the truth she is still basing her story on the premise the Amityville hauntings were real. And me and a few film reviews would regard Melissa to have been in the supporting role, but "duh" whatever.

Im not sure what your beliefs are... but just to try and help you out.

If you want the voices to go away and leave you alone, try calling on Jesus, because its a proven fact, that if you call on Jesus, that thing... what ever it is thats tellen u to kill, and do bad things ,.... it will go away and not return. . I have heard people say that alot of times as well. But like I said.... i dont know what your belief is, im just tryin to help:)

No actually its not a bad choice.

Alot of people that have had that sort of things, and or has been held down from some unseen force, called our God's name and that "Thing" left right afterwards. If something is telling u to kill, or scarying you,or what ever the case may be, when it comes down to ghost problems, the best thing for any one to do is Call on God's name. Cuz what ever that evil thing is, IS AFRAID, and will leave after hearing Gods name.:)

Firstly I'm not a Christian, so I can't agree on that point. Second, the person wasn't talking about a haunting, they were mentioning that they had been diagnosed with Schizophrenia, a real mental disorder that needs to be kept in constant check in order for the person to maintain a healthy life. If the person, whose judgement is already compromised, thinks they don't need medicine and only need to call on God, it could be very detrimental to their mental health.

If he's tellen the truth, and he is realy hearing voices tellen him to kill, all he needs to tell is scream out God's name and comand that demon to leave him alone, and it will. The subject we were "arguing" about was not God, but whether it's a good Idea to tell schizophrenic people they need him to cure themselves. I'm still right. Well. Jonny, if a person realy belives in God, and has acepted Him as there personal savior, and there getting attacked by a demon "evil" all they need to do is call out God's Holy name, and what ever demonic thing thats bothering them will go away imediatly.But if an unsaved person was getting attacked, and called out God's name, God probably woulnt help them right away because He knows that if He did, they would forget about HIM in the end. :)

Demons are evil entity's from hell just wanting to hurt people. And I think that your wrong. God loves everybody. OK, in the KJV Bible there is a verse that cleary states that when A person dies, they either go to one of the too places heaven or hell. The cant do "unfinished work" as some say. And demons, well they Mascarade as lost loved ones, and when some one sees there "Lost loved one" its either a recording in the wall, or its a demon Mascarading.:)

Well.... Ghost's arnt real, Demons are. Demons Masarade as Lost loved ones, and "pretend" that, they have unfinished work to do. Demons do this because they dont want people to believe what the Bible says, about that when A person dies they either go to Heaven or Hell, they dont do unfinished work. :)

This is not what really happened. The haunting of the house is false.  Just a scheme to make money off of a horrible tragedy. The story of the Amityville murders is not what this woman describes and the house does NOT look like the real home on Ocean Avenue.

I'd previously lived in two haunted houses. I was attacked by one spirit in one house and saved by another ghost. The one ghost that saved my life also came with me into another haunted house. I'd suspected that he was my guardian. Whenever I had troublesome hauntings, this one ghost was always there to thwart any danger upon me. One day, I asked why he'd saved me. He replied he had a daughter so like me. I was surprised and touched. Though I've never learned his name, I'm always grateful to him

There is somthing in my basement... and it sounds like its running up the steps. It only does that, when im near the door. My brother didnt believe me, then one day not to long ago.. he heard it as well. We checked down the basement befor... and nothing was there. So, my mom told me NOT to show it fear, so i always take the Bible with me, when i got to go close to the door:)

This is such bullshit. She says in this interview that she "never got to involved with the supernatural element" when she was making the film. This is clearly a complete fabrication. There were probably looking for minor, creepy things to happen on set and then just enlarge them. She's lost a lot of my respect, she acts this so badly though. You can tell she's lying through her teeth.
