Rear facing is 5-35lbs, not 22 like she said. I know she said longer if you prefer, but where did she come up with the 22lbs? And also the rebound bar is not so you can get a better "fit" when installing, the True Fits without the anti rebound bar are still easily installed rear facing.. The anti rebound bar is to help with "rebound" in an accident, hence the name.

You say that the infant padding is only supposed to be used for rear facing however the padding needs to be removed once the child is 22 lbs. You can actually rear face the child to 35 lbs. in this seat, however they cannot use the infant padding beyond 22 lbs. I don't think the owner's manual states this in the True Fit Premiere's manuals, but it did for the previous models and I read that First Year's was going to make this correction. Better to be safe and not use the padding beyond 22 lbs
