Look man, I'm christian, but to deny evolution is almost like denying the holocaust. We did not come from monkeys, we came from a common ancestor. Now, just because evolution is undeniabley true, doesn't mean God doesn't exist. I believe that God created life through ambiogenesis, and then from then allowed life to evolve, and had a hand in it. You should really read "The Language of God" by Francis Collins.
Wow, I really appreciate the respect you've shown me in your reply. I was really expecting you to just flame me for that comment. When I hear God created us in his image, I think that refers to our soul, in that our souls are the in the image of his spirit. Since we leave behind our bodies, I don't believe physical bodies exist in heaven, I think its just our spirit. Likewise, I think God is just an all powerful spirit, with no physical body. (except for Jesus when he was on earth).
If you're a Christian, then why can't you just believe what the Word of God says about how humanity was created...which doesn't mentions anything about evolution.

What I don't understand, is why Christians have such a hard time accepting Evolution. The crazy notion of evolution lead people to believe that some humans are lesser than others; exposable. Have you ever heard of eugenics? Christians strongly believe that God made the animals separate from humans. It's factual. No human has ever given birth to anything different save a human being. You see, if Christians were to hold on to the evolution theory, we'd be calling God a liar.

Please, explain to me how evolution is proven wrong. If you can use scientific evidence to prove evolution wrong, you will undoubtedly become a billionaire in the most famous person alive. No, it is not proven wrong, it is proven right. 98% of the scientific community accepts it as fact. If you have a sound arguement against it, I'd love to here it. That being said, I'm a theistic evolutionist. I believe in God, and Jesus, but I believe that He created life using evolution as a tool.

while you are right about Evolution being a bunch of cow-pucky, their argument has changed over time because of its contradictory nature. they say -we- evolved from an "ape-like creature"(LOL) and that humans and modern monkeys are on different paths.
what Atheists/Evolutionists should be more concerned about is the origin of the Universe, NOT the origin of our species. God is the ultimate Creator! praise God!
Just pointing out- evolution does not state that we came from monkeys, only that we share a common ancestor with them.
