  • I just made beefstew, most of what he put, but didn't look like that ahaha. I gotta go on the exact flavors! Beautiful, mmmmmmmmmm.

  • genius, relating the flavors to musical palette notes

  • beef stew sounds "absolutely fantastic" right now lol

  • jesus nig, easy with the garlic

  • @nikkyfrikky damn, chill

  • This is great; Ive made this over a dozen times!! I also add about 2 Tbls of Worchester Sauce in the pot while it's cooking...

  • I used to watch Food Network all the time. Now I find it sad that I have to go to Youtube, in order to watch people actually cook on television. The cooking channel isn't much different. It's all game shows about food, with no real educational qualities. Food Network could probably take credit for all of the foodies out there, but they are losing us at this point with inane programming. I don't care what a chef's favorite food is, show me how to make it!!!

  • I've seen a show filmed in his store in Mill Valley, Kind of cool to watch the process. The back ground makes me think this was in his shop.

  • I'll skip the mushrooms and peas, please. Otherwise, looks good.

  • Carrots....que porno music.

  • Love your channel! You look amazing! What you do is really fantastic! Let's stay in touch. Check me out sometimes too!

  • this pot smells delicious.... stoner

  • Gotta try this one, love the idea of the pearl onions, I'm all for making it easy, I use baby carrots for the same reason.

  • what is it with tyler and pearl onions? he adds it to everything!

  • what kind of wine is that

  • Hands down the best beef stew I've ever had!!! You gotta try it!!!

  • One time I tried to finger tyler and he was like ". . . uhhhh, no thanks".

  • i understand orange...but the peel?

  • Damn I love this show. What a great recipe.

Is it just me, or does he use Thyme in EVERYTHING?

  • @ItsSomeDeadGuy after i discovered thyme i cannot get enough of it. i literally put it in everything. except my alfredo sauce.

  • i have used his exact recipe to a T in the past and am letting the ingredients simmer tonight as im typing this. Amazing recipe!

  • I expected Mellissa Mounds to come on set and say " I bet You have a really nice carrot also, let me show you how I braise"

  • too much spice and mix of different flavors -- he's killing it! dont think I'd like this beef stew.

  • The porn music could be denote a certain sid to him and his cooking which is HOT! , TASTY! and Kinky!!

  • Whats with the porn music.. lol

  • @Joyceeeeeh You're so right! Tyler Wad Homes!

  • Im making this again tonite, with my own kicks...

  • Notice the retro porn music at 3:48. Things are startin to heat up in the kitchen!

  • I followed this recipe allmost to the "T" except for: fresh thyme, fresh beef stock, and beef shoulder. I used chuck roast and trimed off the fat, and used cooking wine from the grocery store in place of regular wine, it actually tasted better the second day I ate it.... this method that I used was based on money I had to spend. I also used regular onions instead of pearl as well as canned peas.

  • @TheTonyjara Ahem, where do you think chuck roast comes from? Thats right kids, the shoulder!

    Cheers

  • You don't have to say it in condisending way? I haven't broken down the areas where the meat is located and totally forgot that thats where its located? So.....BACK OFF!!!!

  • @TheTonyjara : I worked as a meat cutter for a few years so I guess it's not fair to ambush you, add the front and back to this and you will be an expert : reluctantgourmet. /beef_chart.htm as youtube won't allow addys.

    Cheers!

  • As we say in the south. Lawd (Lord) have mercy. I am drooling. Pulling out the slow cooker tonight. Tyler you're the bomb diggity. GREAT!

  • uhh people this is tyler florence from food network he's not gonna respond to tell you what type of wine he used in his recipe on food networks website it is a french burgandy

  • I'd like to know what kind of red wine you used also. Has anyone tried this? With all that wine i'm wondering if you still have that beef flavor?

  • A good beef stew is indeed one of the best foods on the planet.

One thing I like to add that is a bit different is a big handful of dried tart cherries. They add an interesting taste that realy complements the beef and red wine.

  • that looks really good

  • I made this tonight. IT was amazing!!!

  • what wine did u use?

  • I used a burgundy. it works the best. You need it red and extra dry.

  • He didn't cook this down for long. What was the texture of your beef? Was it tough or tender? I would think slow long cooking time on this.

  • YUM!!!

  • it was a tad tough, you Do have to slow cook it. Fix it in the morning well half cook it, then put it in a crock pot on low, It'll cook all day long. You should have an awesome result
