Le texte est très bien rendu, sauf peut-être un peu de poésie - vous qui en avez à revendre... - qui n'est pas absente de cette valse si peu conventionnelle. Je vous invite à lire le texte qui avait été proposé à Satie. Il s'agit d'une déclaration d'amour particulièrement osée pour l'époque. Vous en avez une excellente interprétation para Jessye Norman - quoiqu'elle en fasse "de trop" -.
Néanmoins, cet aspect de nonchalance de certain 3/4 de Satie n'est pas pour déplaire, au contraire.

My favourite Satie song, excellent interpretation, and (bet you didn't know) this song is the soundtrack of the NES game "Binary Land" a really cute game where you have to get two in love penguins together avoiding spider. You controll both of them at once.

it's amazing how the first three notes are so signature satie... the piece is so joyeux, in spite of the frustrating suggestion in the title...
i am glad he would have enjoyed eyour joyful playing...almost ragtime toward the end..

Paulette Darty was the queen of the SLOW waltz—la valse lente.
This needs to played more dramily and with more rubato.
