We'll assume you've never watched Fox. Everyone on Fox talks against the government constantly. Whether Neocon(progressive) republicans or Progressive Democrats, in general Fox is against the overgrowth of the oligarchy. Fox is Antisocialist regardless of political affiliation. You can always tell when someone has never sat down and watched a channel like Fox, generally they start quoting that Moron Olberman.
This is exactly what we need in the White House. Someone who is confident, ready to take action, and knows the constitution like the back of his hand. Anybody on here who is against him and getting your civil rights back as a human, is just not human at all.The Constitution was made for a reason and the current government has been taking those rights away quicker than u can count to 100. Dont believe me?Do some research before you post some stupid illogical bs pls.He's got my vote :) PS Fuck Fox
how does this guy continually talks against the govt but works on FOX , i don't get it , how come they don't fire him , isn't anybody who talks against the govt a "conspiracy theorist" ... why is he on national TV
@UBSCARED What are you a boot licker are you? You sound like it. Personally I don't bow to anybody, everyone is equal in my opinion. And I'm not even a yank with your civil liberties, it's just what I think and know.
If you have ever read any of the original writings by thomas jefferson or james madison (among others) you would find that they were 100%, TOTALLY consumed with the concept of Natural Rights. These principles were formed by great minds like John Locke, whom Jefferson called part of the holy trinity of minds in the history of the world. Sir, you are SADLY mistaken and so far off of the easily obtainable proof that it is hard to imagine where you came up with these errors
Stop the bribes to the judges of California. Los Angeles County judges are receiving $57,688.00 per year per judge. That is on top of the pay and benefits they already receive from the STATE.
Sturgeon v Los Angels County declared those payments to be unconstitutional. Granting judges RETRO ACTIVE IMMUNITY FROM PROSECUTION for taking bribes under SBX211 is unconstitutional. LOSS OF DUE PROCCESS, FRAUD ON THE COURT.
@UBSCARED Bullcrap? I think not. He is discussing FEDERAL law, not State law. He is discussing the FEDERAL Patriot Act. It is not Georgia State Troopers that are operating under the Patriot Act. You conceded that the 14th Amendment "federalized" the Bills of Rights (whether by activist judges or not), and hence the 4th Amendment applies to state governments as well.
Philosophically, they are "birth rights" i.e. Lockean Natural Rights. That was the logic in Declaration of Independence.
Does anybody know who actually wrote the Patriot Act? Or who actually writes ANY of the thousand page bills that go through Congress? My guess is that the Congress does not write most or any of the bills they pass.
In just the way it was passed it shows a fraud. The congress is mandated to write the laws, debate the laws and insure the laws do not violate the constitution. They failed in all there duties and that should make the law non binding and unenforcable
I say we need to trace all the money of these counterfieters that the government has paid them in interest or capital repayment and seize it. As long as they posses this money they have more power then we have. They have already converted there stollen wealth into things like gold , land, patent rights, corportate holding ect. Seize it all and bring it all back, even if it is in china.
Hell the government now does not even bother to raise taxes. They just borrow it from a bunch of counterfieters, and let the counterfieters charge interest for there act of counterfieting( counterfieting is now and has always been a act of sedition) So now we pay interest to these private banks with our taxes, and the actual capital to pay for the government is all just counterfiet money. The bankers are getting payed to utterly destroy us. Congress is all smiles and grins about it .
To the commentary below.... energy? universe? You're all WAY off the actual subject and a perfect example of why our country is no longer free. Stick to science and leave the political theorizing alone please. All your incongruous ranting does is disenfranchise people and take away from the point. The point is... our rights do not come from the Government. They can't take away what belongs to us by BIRTH and LIFE. Please... go cause arguments somewhere else!
I take issue with the Judge. Our Rights of: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness are part of the Laws of Nature not “Natural Law.” These Rights apply to all life and social systems throughout the world and they existed before humans. See the proof at: watch?v=tdNYVZQYJqI
it took this wise man about 20 hours to go through the patriot act, but that same document was only on the internal web site for the house of repr. for about 15 minutes, then they had to go vote on it. that is outrageous!!!
RP/Judge Nap ticket 2012! If we can elect a political girlscout that appoints know-nothing lawyers and bankers to foriegn policy positions, we can certainly put in a seasoned politician with a FLAWLESS record of fidelity to the American People and a man that can interpet the constitution in his sleep.
Right to privacy keeps cops and lawyers and judges employed, take that away and you stop crime in its tracks, meaning , track and trace everyone on the planet,( in 2023 a conventional pc will be able to track and trace each and everyone 300 million of us in america ) no more crime, murder, kidnappings, rapes robbery,ect.. legalize all drugs and let nature takes its coarse, military is onlymeant to kill people who want to kill, on both side, Its called pogrom feint .
The only man in the legal system that talks about common law rights see free man on the land> it"s time to take back our natural born rights threw common law.
Jefferson did NOT sign his documents with the "Jesus Christ"(or even "In the Year of Our Lord" addendum). Go check out the single document where the "Jesus Christ" thing appears and you will see for yourself that this was part of a form he had to sign regarding shipping and was not written by him. The only thing on that form that WAS written by his hand is his signature.
Jefferson DID vote to put a church inside of the Captial Building to hold Religious services there every sunday and He did also have a RESERVED Seat at those services. Jefferson did study the BIBLE and he went so far as to secure all of the writings of the Gospel in every orginal language. He took the time to transcribe the entirety of it into English for his own understanding. It's called the Jefferson Bible and it was given to every member of Congress for decades
Even if this is true, it is irrelevant. Abraham Lincoln was an outright atheist and Herndon still managed to convince him to pander to the religious on a couple of occasions. It would have been political suicide to go doing something which would have at that time been pretty radical, even in the post-enlightenment.
Plus I am sure Jefferson was very interested in studying religion and in particular the Christianity he so despised in his public comments.
Jefferson read each of the original writings of the Gospel in it's original language. He considered the teachings of Jesus Christ to be the single greatest collection of teachings in the history of the world. It's called the Jefferson Bible. A copy used to be provided to every congressman and senator upon taking the oath of office.
Jefferson signed far more than one document in this manner. Whether he signed FIVE or FIVE THOUSAND in this manner is irrelevant. He did it. Jefferson's reference to God are Voluminous. Only a fool would think that he wasn't a believer.
By HIS OWN HAND, Jefferson called the existance of a CREATOR to be "SO OBVIOUS THAT IT IS "SELF EVIDENT"
He wrote scores of pages about our rights coming from GOD.
If you are going to baldly assert that Jefferson signed more than one document while ignoring the fact the HE did not write the addendum himself, then I am forced to ask you to support this allegation or concede the point kiddo.
Jeffersons SINGLE BIGGEST INFLUENCE and MOST RESPECTED INTELLECTUAL IN ALL OF HISTORY was John Locke. John Locke's work "two treatises on government" were the works that Jefferson condidered to be of the MOST genious works. In that work, LOCKE references the Bible, GOD and the scriptures as the exclusive source of our rights and the purpose of government.
A painting of John Locke is on the wall at Monticello as one of the 3 GREATEST men in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD -
John Locke's influence on Jefferson(even IF it were as you describe) is irrelevant. The biggest influence on atheist Neil DeGrasse Tyson is Isaac Newton. Does that make Tyson a Christian?
John Locke's influence on Jefferson is indisputable. There are letters upon letters where he affirms his respect for Locke. A Painting of John Locke still hangs in Monticello. Jefferson condidered Locke, Bacon and Newton to be the Trinity of the three Greatest Minds the world had ever produced.
John Locke completely and totally influenced Thomas Jefferson. If you are debating which "brand" of God Jefferson subscribed to, I'm sure that it changed throughout his life...as does many people. However, Jefferson's belief in God as the supreme ruler of the world is indisputable and is the FOUNDATION of every major opinion he writes about government and Law. If you had ever taken the time to Read Locke, you would understand. It's 8 bucks....two treatises on Government
@FreeTheNation Not to argue, but I've heard that Jefferson was Deist. That is, he believed that a Creator created the universe, but that reason could tell people of it's workings more-so than the Bible. Though I wouldn't be surprised if his faith DID change throughout his life
I think that at various times in his life he had doubts about the exact nature of God......like many of us may. I don't really think that a particular "branding" of religion was all that important to ANY of the founders....just that one observed that there was a creator. Nevertheless, Jefferson rewrote the entire gospel of the new testament and translated it all from the orginal languages (of which he read and spoke fluently)...its called the Jefferson Bible.
It is well publicized that Jefferson IDOLIZED John Locke. Locke was credited for the very foundation of the concepts of Natural Law by Jefferson, Madison and the other founders. Jefferson just referred to him as part of the DIVINE TRINITY of the GREATES MINDS EVER PRODUCED in the history of the world.
Locke was worshipped by having a huge painting in Jefferson's Home....next to the other two collosal geniouses.....
As a matter of fact, Jefferson was SO influenced by the teachings of the bible that his original design for the SEAL of the UNITED STATES was a picuture that He and Ben Franklin had made of MOSES leading the israelites through the RED SEA with the Motto: "Rebelion to Tyrants is Obedience to GOD" they also idolized the Anglo Saxons and had many other slogans about obedience to GOD. It's all there if you read.
@FreeTheNation ahhh..within the Hellfire Club & friends Mr Franklin's nickname was "Moses". He was forwarding Sir Francis Bacon's book, "New Atlantis" agenda.. & if you think the Hellfire Club had anything to do with what your referring to as "God".. you have some reading to do..
Decent and honest people can gather to discuss whether something should or should not be a right. But please don't pollute the discussion by saying that your own point of view is fixed to the universe and is approved by God.
It's really as simple as that. Jefferson, Franklin and Adams (among others) listed al of the rights given to MAN by GOD. The right to LIFE (not to be killed or harmed), LIBERTY (to do whatever you want, as long as you don't directly harm another person or his properlty) and the PURSUIT of Happiness (a CHANCE to make the best life you can) are only a FEW of the rights GOD gave man. I recommend you do some research on the original works.
You can say rights come from God. It will get applause at may venues; it'll get you a nice gig at FOX; it will make you chest swell. But it's not true. I recommend "A Concise History of the Common Law," by T.F.T. Plunkett. He'll tell you exactly where in human history each of our rights came from.
Every major works that had an influence on the Founding of this nation and the foundation of our laws comes from GOD. I'm not even a religious person, but I have to correct your statement. Don't confuse yourself with modern day works on this matter. Go to the ORIGINAL SOURCES. John Locke, Blackstone, Polybius, Cicero.... The purpose of LAW is to PROTECT GOD-GIVEN (or natural, if you prefer) RIGHTS. All of the rights provided by GOD can not be given, or taken away by man.
Wrong. The purpose of laws is to create, enlarge, restrict, or eliminate rights. You can sit in some ivory tower and fantasize about God-given rights and natural rights, but the reality is that lawmakers decide what your rights are. And these men who make laws are of the same sinew as that of men who make sausages. And that's if you're lucky enough to live in a civilized society.
Then you would disagree with Jefferson, Locke, Madison, Franklin, Montesquieu, Blackstone, Washington, Adams, Cicero, St. Thomas Aquinas and the entire host of the greatest legal philosophers of the entire history of the world
Based on your statements, you haven't read these great works. It's all spelled out.
The Primary purpose of law is to protect God Given Liberties. Period.
As the great minds stated......any man made law that subverts Natural law must be cast aside.
Natural lawsupersedes ALL human law, according to the greatest minds of all human history. We must cast aside these laws that govern "beyond the consent of the governed."
@FreeTheNation Due to the awkward new formatting on YT, I do not know which of my messages you are replying to. It was four months ago, you know. I will simply re-assert that there is no such thing as "Natural Law" and that Napolitano, far from being the genius and hero as he has been described here, is simply blowing smoke that makes people feel good. Some people like beer, some like pot, some like to believe that Natural Law is a real thing
@kenp3L Natural Law doesn't exist? Then how does the universe stay intact well enough for us to perceive it?
A is A; existence exists; the laws of nature exist to maintain nature whether we choose to believe so or not. That is what natural law is, the laws that govern nature, independent of our choice to accept them. Admittedly, Napolitano argues from a religious viewpoint, and I resent that; however, God or no God, the laws of nature apply to all who exist within nature.
@JeffroTheMan1 You misunderstand my meaning. I agree that matter and energy can be carefully analyzed to the point that general rules can be developed that predict their behavior.
My objection is to the idea that any laws, or general principles upon which is base, are somehow set by nature. All laws and even principles that are widely accepted are man-made.
If I'm not mistaken, 'laws' in your second paragraph refers to the political definition, not the scientific. The principle is the same. There IS an objective 'best' set of man-made laws that is the most efficient form of government. All other sets of laws are doomed to failure, or less efficiency than is otherwise possible, because of Natural Law. For example, I can't drink fourteen bottles of whiskey in two hours and survive; natural law doesn't permit it. The same with man-made governments.
@JeffroTheMan1 At this point, you are not making a good case for the existence of Natural Law. Your metaphors and analogies are, unfortunately, inapt. Better would be to write in a more technical style and carefully chose words that precisely state your opinion.
It's very simple. Nature exists, and there are laws that govern nature; you've admitted this in regards to matter and energy, (which encompasses ALL of nature). However, those laws apply to all aspects of nature, including human society. Whenever man attempts to break those laws, it doesn't lead to positive consequences.
Also, you fail to point out WHY I am 'not making a good case.' You raised an objection and I refuted it. If you still disagree, you're welcome to refute anything I've said.
Like it or not, Natual Law is the foundation and premise of our entire nation. Question: Have you read any of John Locke's works on the matter?? It would be silly for me to explain it to you when you have one of the greatest philosophers in the history of the world to read. Try "Two Treatises on Government."
After you read that, let's debate Locke's theories.
I have read that in the Middle Ages, Aristotle was so revered that people would cite "The Philosopher" on empirical issues that were easily decidable by observation. The Renaissance rebellion against the authority of Aristotle and the Bible played an important role in the scientific revolution.
Here you make the same Medieval fallacy. That is, you say, effectively, "Important people say rights come from God. Therefore, rights come from God."
This is false Freethenation. It is one of David Barton's fabrications, recently debunked by a TON of people including Rachel Maddow. The source of this myth is because of a Scandanavian shipping paper that was in wide use back in those days. IT contained the "In The Year of Our Lord, Jesus Christ" and had to be signed by Presidents(including Jefferson) ...
I have studied Jefferson, IN DEPTH, for years. I can promise you that he was a man of DEEP faith. He thought so highly of the bible and Jesus that he read each of the Gospel's in the Original language and transcribed them all directly into English..... The Jefferson Bible.
The Original Seal of the US can easily be researched. ALL of the Founding Fathers were deeply religious, as were every single of the major philospophers in the Liberty movement.
More bald assertions, this time regarding the founding fathers. All I can say here is that your education on these matters is remarkably poor. You cannot even blame dogma for this degree of ignorance. Have you even read ANYTHING that Jefferson wrote, including HIS version of the Bible? You are offering nothing but classic revisionism, on par with that of JFK conspiracy theorists and the like.
I think if you are going to use the title of "Doctor", that you had better do some more thorough research. I have heard Rachel Maddow speak MANY times. She is an entertainer with such a SHALLOW level of education that it is PATHETIC that anyone would listen to her. She regularly gives out misinformation and blatant lies. She does this because she is poorly read and poorly studied....and it fits into her communist view of the world
The bald assertion is a logical fallacy Free'. Logical fallacies are errors in reasoning. Going off on an odd tangent about Rachel Maddow is one thing but claiming she lies, spews misinformation and that she is a communist without being able to cite a single lie, piece of misinformation she has given or any evidence she is a communist(besides the fact that you disagree with her politics)...that is a whole new level of absurdity.
@dunhova Harriet Tubman was the best known for the underground railroad, although what she did wouldn't have been possible without the help from wealthy white land owners. It was not just african americans that decided that slavery was unacceptable. It took many from all sides to defeat the status quo. White families, at the risk of their own lives, offered their homes to slaves on the run. This is about HUMANS uniting against bad, regardless of color.
@jkerri16 - Thanks for pointing this out. It would also be a good thing to remember that African slavery was really a global problem and not one confined to the United States. Many of the founding fathers simply had no energy left to deal with the matter....and I think it is also worth noting that they may have never been able to free slaves without the revolution, which required TEMPORARY compromises.
@FreeTheNation Not really, it was outlawed in nearly all of Europe hundreds of years before America. Slavery was pretty much confined to the US in regard to the time span spoken of.
I have to say that the subject of 18th Century Slavery is not my most well informed subject. While I find it interesting and important, it is not nearly as important as 21rst Century Slavery...which is headquarted in the Federal Reserve and the US Government.
Who were the five shit for brains that didn't like this? Communists? Forgive me, but I think there ought to be some kind of committee to eradicate this country of statists who allowed our liberties to be as dismantled as the judge describes, and if there be a Revolution, and indeed there may be, death to all of the criminals who disagree. Death to the tyrants and their minions.
If the Patriot Act is not repealed and every single person in the US government who singed it into law not executed by sundown for treason, then all armed American patriots must be forced to live in a small cell covered in Nancy Pelosi swimsuit posters for the rest of their fat ass wanna be weekend warrior LIVES.
GO Judge Napolitano, standing up for justice liberty and we the people! What a great analyst! Always defending what is just! Truly exploring issues that face our country! HELP JOIN US TAKING A STAND TO RESTORE INTEGRITY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO WASHINGTON! Liberty is a unifying principle and grows, we need good people like Judge Napolitano who spread the message and truth! GO JUDGE NAPOLITANO!
The health care reform bill is ultra intrusive into Americans financial accounts, and private medical information. Needs to be repealed, just as evil as the patriot act.
God and Religion are two COMPLETELY different things. The role of a supreme power in the concept of Liberty is the paramount issue. Otherwise, our freedoms would not come from our Creator, but from governments. This is what Locke, Jefferson and the greath philosophers called the "natural law." Natural law supersedes the law of man. Governments were "instituted among men" to secure these Natural Rights.
Jefferson said they come from our humanity. These are our rights that every human no matter which government you live under, No matter which God or gods you believe in. These rights are abstract properties of all human being, not given, because we have them no matter what.
I couldn't agree more about rights coming from our humanity. However, Jefferson referenced God many, many many many times in the foundation of our rights......including the signature of his very name on presidential documents:
"In the Year of our Lord Christ"
Jefferson wrote his own version of the Gospel by translating every language of it personally. Make no mistake, God played a HUGE role in the process.....NOT religion.
@FreeTheNation The reason I said this is because we both know how annoying it is when Atheists feel the need to brag to the entire world by saying, "What if there is no God?". That's why I made the comment.
@E3BlSH0P I respect you're opinion on this subject. But, how annoying is it to atheists when the religious say things like "Without a god there can be no morality." It is an argument that goes both ways. We are all guilty in some way of this bigotry. I prefer to keep it civil but some won't let it. lol
@E3BlSH0P It isnt about god because god has never been proven...The key to all this freedom is simply that this is all based upon ideology and there is no purpose simply we are born into a predisposed environment of mediums of technology forming all aspects of economics, you simply have a right to nature and to be centered in mind... Law is an ideology
Every aspect of our law is predicated on God. Period. The Original Seal of the United States was Moses at the Exodus. Anyone who thinks contrary to this is simply a very poorly studied individual. Go to a website called Wall builders for more detailed information. The 5000 year leap is a simple source of information also.
@E3BlSH0P Atheists don't believe in god, yes. We get annoyeed when god is thrusted everywhere as absolute truth. Interestingly enough, Judge quoted Thomas Jefferson and well know DEIST. Atheists are not the enemy opposing what Napolitano says, although I can't speak for all of them.. I agree with 98% of what comes out of Napolitano's mouth.
Thomas Jefferson Signed every document as President as follows:
"in the year of our lord, Jesus Christ. then his signature.
Thomas Jefferson wrote extensively about the Role of God in Liberty and the importance of RELIGION in government, schools and Society. Thomas Jefferson REWROTE the BIBLE and created his own version of the bible with the INTENT on teaching people the true words of Jesus Christ. The Jefferson Bible was given to every member of congress until recently

these fucking criminals MUST BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE. it is illegal to make ANY law that disreguards or usurps or superceeds the cherrished US Constitution. criminals are behind the "patriot act" and MUST BE BROUGHT TO TRIAL. "just voting them out" is a cowards way of skirting the issue. THEY MUST BE FERRETED OUT AND MUST GO TO JAIL
Who is he talking TO? He said"when WE were colonist" Can't be talking to me. My ancestors were brought here on Slave Ships. FreeTheNation this is a FACT!
@dunhova STFU -- and my ancestor died for your ancestors right to be FREE. If you want equality, act like it, instead of the same old tired victim routine.
It is a fact that well over 650,000 American Citizens died during the Civil War. If you want to take the approach that slavery was the main reason for the civil war (and it really wasn't IMO), then you have to agree that many WHITE Americans DIED to earn the freedom of AFRICAN Slaves. Now that's just a fact......although the debate about slavery does nothing to solve the problems we have with the government
@FreeTheNation Wow Censorship and You call yourself "FreeTheNation" and what part was not fact? So you are saying that all the reply's here are FACTS? Or maybe you just Hate JESUS. Or do you think that African American in this country are treated equally? Oh and I am not you friend!!
It's not Censorship. It's called STANDARDS. What you posted was inaccurate.
Post all of the free speech you wish on my channel....debate the living hell out of things. Just BE FACTUALLY ACCURATE and reasonably POLITE....that's all I want out of this channel......and my BIG profits from it.... LOL
@dunhova - On Black Americans being treated equally. I don't know what is in the minds and hearts of every American. I'm sure there are white people who don't like minorities based on skin color. I AM ALSO MOST CERTAIN that there are minorities who don't like WHITE people based on THEIR skin color. NOBODY can make ANYBODY like anyone else. WHAT I DO KNOW, IS THIS. MOST Americans treat EVERYONE FAIRLY. Once you allow yourself to become a VICTIM, you give your power to someone else.
define the outcome of treason for me, for i am a simple human being. describe how the wind would make kenyan born treasonists swing. i value your opinion, sir.
@dunhova It is especially unfortunate because the US was created to free people from oppression. Thankfully, we have come to realize that _all_ people deserve to be free from oppression, and have mended our constitution to reflect that notion. Oppression is the antithesis of morality. For example, it is immoral/illegal for me to stalk you, and disrupt your private life or body in order to push my world-view on you- and that is addressed by Human Rights documents written all over the world.
@itisGabe (And of course when I refer to interference of privacy/body I mean without consent, or without being a response to a violation of human rights... no one will argue that someone who murders shouldn't be locked up or that a girl who consents to sex is being violated. But if you watch a movie with murder in it, say Kill Bill, and if I find that kind of movie immoral, I don't have the right to violate your rights to push my opinion on you.)
I have studied the judge thoroughly. I have NEVER heard him say that. Please reference something that can be verified on this statement. The Judge is a STRONG Jeffersonian, who created the Marines and expanded the Navy. So I thinketh this falls into the category of BS. I will await your evidence, however.
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
So much for free speech I guess. If you don't like what people have to say, you just delete their post, that makes a ton of sense. Its ok, maybe the judge will flip on this issue like he did on the Stupak Executive Order.
Free Speech isn't a matter for a youtube channel. It pertains to the Government.
I want to see intense debate on this channel...with ONE stipulation.
I want FACTS. NOT OPINIONS. I am sick and tired of everyone making factually incorrect statements. I don't want insults. I want serious, intellectual debate.
Free speech is welcome here. I WANT vigorous debate. I won't leave anything up that is not factually accurate, however. Accuracy is very important to me. Opinions are for creative matters such as art and music. Legal matters should be debated predicated on history, law and fact. Keep the debate coming, please.
That is such an ignorant comment. Libertarians don't believe in government interference in the daily lives of citizens, yet you imply that the Judge advocates the government suppressing gays and enforcing a certain religious dogma into national life. You obviously don't have a clue about the nature of who you support.
"Is he a communist???" Wow, are you sure you even know what that word means?
lol hes a genuine libertarian.. communism is the total opposite of what this dude is. Communism is Fascism. This guy is extremely conservative - a liberal in the classical sense. If you can't get his point from this video, you're dense as hell and you need to go read a book.. seriously, any book.. expand your intellect.
@FreeTheNation That's cool, and I'mma let you finish, but, if you haven't noticed, non-constitutional candidates will always get the most votes because they have the most money for media campaigns because they are funded by corporations because they will do the most to bend the rules to make their backers a profit.
The country is dead man. Ron Paul SMASHED every person he debated, and was applauded in EVERY interview he did, even in the mainstream media, and STILL didn't make it past primaries.
You are correct......HOWEVER - We must not give up. We have a chance with a FEW strong people.. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE GET PETER SCHIFF ELECTED TO THE SENATE. Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, Judge Napolitano and a handful of others.
We START there and build upon it with patient dedication.

Nobody should be above the LAW

@UBSCARED Bullcrap? I think not. He is discussing FEDERAL law, not State law. He is discussing the FEDERAL Patriot Act. It is not Georgia State Troopers that are operating under the Patriot Act. You conceded that the 14th Amendment "federalized" the Bills of Rights (whether by activist judges or not), and hence the 4th Amendment applies to state governments as well.
Philosophically, they are "birth rights" i.e. Lockean Natural Rights. That was the logic in Declaration of Independence.

FreeTheNation 1 year ago
@FreeTheNation
DoctorSkepticus 1 year ago
@DoctorSkepticus -
Jefferson read each of the original writings of the Gospel in it's original language.

FreeTheNation 1 year ago
@DoctorSkepticus -
John Locke completely and totally influenced Thomas Jefferson.
FreeTheNation 1 year ago
@FreeTheNation Not to argue, but I've heard that Jefferson was Deist. That is, he believed that a Creator created the universe, but that reason could tell people of it's workings more-so than the Bible. Though I wouldn't be surprised if his faith DID change throughout his life
Goodatconnect4 1 year ago
@Goodatconnect4
FreeTheNation 1 year ago
@DoctorSkepticus -
BTW. What do you mean by "IF" ???????
It is well publicized that Jefferson IDOLIZED John Locke. Locke was credited for the very foundation of the concepts of Natural Law by Jefferson, Madison and the other founders. Jefferson just referred to him as part of the DIVINE TRINITY of the GREATES MINDS EVER PRODUCED in the history of the world.
Locke was worshipped by having a huge painting in Jefferson's Home....next to the other two collosal geniouses.....

Decent and honest people can gather to discuss whether something should or should not be a right. But please don't pollute the discussion by saying that your own point of view is fixed to the universe and is approved by God.
kenp3L 1 year ago

It's really as simple as that. Jefferson, Franklin and Adams (among others) listed al of the rights given to MAN by GOD. The right to LIFE (not to be killed or harmed), LIBERTY (to do whatever you want, as long as you don't directly harm another person or his properlty) and the PURSUIT of Happiness (a CHANCE to make the best life you can) are only a FEW of the rights GOD gave man. I recommend you do some research on the original works.

kenp3L 1 year ago
@kenp3L -
Every major works that had an influence on the Founding of this nation and the foundation of our laws comes from GOD.
FreeTheNation 1 year ago
@FreeTheNation
And that's if you're lucky enough to live in a civilized society.
kenp3L 1 year ago
@kenp3L -
Then you would disagree with Jefferson, Locke, Madison, Franklin, Montesquieu, Blackstone, Washington, Adams, Cicero, St.

Some people like beer, some like pot, some like to believe that Natural Law is a real thing
kenp3L 1 year ago
@kenp3L Natural Law doesn't exist? Then how does the universe stay intact well enough for us to perceive it?
A is A; existence exists; the laws of nature exist to maintain nature whether we choose to believe so or not. That is what natural law is, the laws that govern nature, independent of our choice to accept them. Admittedly, Napolitano argues from a religious viewpoint, and I resent that; however, God or no God, the laws of nature apply to all who exist within nature.
JeffroTheMan1 1 year ago
@JeffroTheMan1 You misunderstand my meaning. I agree that matter and energy can be carefully analyzed to the point that general rules can be developed that predict their behavior.
My objection is to the idea that any laws, or general principles upon which is base, are somehow set by nature. All laws and even principles that are widely accepted are man-made.
kenp3L 1 year ago
If I'm not mistaken, 'laws' in your second paragraph refers to the political definition, not the scientific. The principle is the same. There IS an objective 'best' set of man-made laws that is the most efficient form of government. All other sets of laws are doomed to failure, or less efficiency than is otherwise possible, because of Natural Law. For example, I can't drink fourteen bottles of whiskey in two hours and survive; natural law doesn't permit it. The same with man-made governments.
JeffroTheMan1 1 year ago
@JeffroTheMan1 At this point, you are not making a good case for the existence of Natural Law. Your metaphors and analogies are, unfortunately, inapt. Better would be to write in a more technical style and carefully chose words that precisely state your opinion.
kenp3L 1 year ago
It's very simple. Nature exists, and there are laws that govern nature; you've admitted this in regards to matter and energy, (which encompasses ALL of nature). However, those laws apply to all aspects of nature, including human society. Whenever man attempts to break those laws, it doesn't lead to positive consequences.
Also, you fail to point out WHY I am 'not making a good case.' You raised an objection and I refuted it. If you still disagree, you're welcome to refute anything I've said.
JeffroTheMan1 1 year ago
@kenp3L -
Like it or not, Natual Law is the foundation and premise of our entire nation. Question: Have you read any of John Locke's works on the matter?? It would be silly for me to explain it to you when you have one of the greatest philosophers in the history of the world to read. Try "Two Treatises on Government."
After you read that, let's debate Locke's theories.
FreeTheNation 1 year ago 2

I have read that in the Middle Ages, Aristotle was so revered that people would cite "The Philosopher" on empirical issues that were easily decidable by observation. The Renaissance rebellion against the authority of Aristotle and the Bible played an important role in the scientific revolution.

Governments were "instituted among men" to secure these Natural Rights.

these fucking criminals MUST BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE. it is illegal to make ANY law that disreguards or usurps or superceeds the cherrished US Constitution. criminals are behind the "patriot act" and MUST BE BROUGHT TO TRIAL.

@dunhova -
It is a fact that well over 650,000 American Citizens died during the Civil War.

Folks - Keep the spirited debate coming. Let's keep it clean so we don't set a bad example for the kids. Thanks to all for your assistance.

@dunhova
LOL

majikninja07 1 year ago
@dunhova - On Black Americans being treated equally. I don't know what is in the minds and hearts of every American. I'm sure there are white people who don't like minorities based on skin color. I AM ALSO MOST CERTAIN that there are minorities who don't like WHITE people based on THEIR skin color. NOBODY can make ANYBODY like anyone else. WHAT I DO KNOW, IS THIS. MOST Americans treat EVERYONE FAIRLY. Once you allow yourself to become a VICTIM, you give your power to someone else.

@dunhova It is especially unfortunate because the US was created to free people from oppression. Thankfully, we have come to realize that _all_ people deserve to be free from oppression, and have mended our constitution to reflect that notion. Oppression is the antithesis of morality. For example, it is immoral/illegal for me to stalk you, and disrupt your private life or body in order to push my world-view on you- and that is addressed by Human Rights documents written all over the world.
itisGabe 1 year ago
@itisGabe (And of course when I refer to interference of privacy/body I mean without consent, or without being a response to a violation of human rights... no one will argue that someone who murders shouldn't be locked up or that a girl who consents to sex is being violated. But if you watch a movie with murder in it, say Kill Bill, and if I find that kind of movie immoral, I don't have the right to violate your rights to push my opinion on you.)

Judge Napolitano is great.
It's a shame he also holds some crazy views like America doesn't currently need a Navy.
richardcadbury 1 year ago
@richardcadbury -
I have studied the judge thoroughly. I have NEVER heard him say that. Please reference something that can be verified on this statement. The Judge is a STRONG Jeffersonian, who created the Marines and expanded the Navy. So I thinketh this falls into the category of BS. I will await your evidence, however.

Again I say and will keep saying.
These congressmen take an oath to protect and defend the constitution?
Are they not trashing it with these bills?
There for they lied under oath.
Is that not perjury.
I say any congressmen or senator who votes for these bills be thrown in jail and stripped of his seat in congress.
This bamster needs to be impeached.

The current oath was enacted in 1884:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

So much for free speech I guess. If you don't like what people have to say, you just delete their post, that makes a ton of sense. Its ok, maybe the judge will flip on this issue like he did on the Stupak Executive Order.

@kawininja06
FreeTheNation 1 year ago
@kawininja06
Free speech is welcome here. I WANT vigorous debate. I won't leave anything up that is not factually accurate, however. Accuracy is very important to me. Opinions are for creative matters such as art and music. Legal matters should be debated predicated on history, law and fact. Keep the debate coming, please.
FreeTheNation 1 year ago
That is such an ignorant comment. Libertarians don't believe in government interference in the daily lives of citizens, yet you imply that the Judge advocates the government suppressing gays and enforcing a certain religious dogma into national life. You obviously don't have a clue about the nature of who you support.
"Is he a communist???" Wow, are you sure you even know what that word means?

Wow, ya, lets overthrow the government. wtf is he talking about! Is this guy a communist???

lol hes a genuine libertarian.. communism is the total opposite of what this dude is. Communism is Fascism. This guy is extremely conservative - a liberal in the classical sense. If you can't get his point from this video, you're dense as hell and you need to go read a book.. seriously, any book.. expand your intellect.

We take back our government by supporting and voting for Candidates who obey the constitution.
FreeTheNation 1 year ago
