@HorusFan I have to agree and disagree with you. I agree that it's a real bummer Scott Menville ceased being Lloyd after the first ToS. He will always be Lloyd to me. Brian Beacock on the other hand... eh... he's growing on me. I like how he does Lloyd in both this and Radiant Mythology. In Dawn (Knight of Ratatosk), his voice made me twitch. It was too... mean and rough. It didn't suit Lloyd AT ALL. Later in the game when he eased off, it was more tolerable.

But Soul Calibur Legends is even worse. The ENTIRE came is repetitive. It's a waggle fest, and least ToS2 the only waggling was for the Sorcerer's Ring and some shortcuts. The Soul Calibur characters are treated even more poorly by the writers than ToS treated the Symphonia cast. It's just horrible. Horrible enough to make this Tales fan appreciate ToS2.

Do you honestly believe I'll take you seriously just by going off of a magazine's ratings? There are so many games that get bad reviews that I actually think deserve 10/10. No, this game is ass. All the enemies are clones of each other, the areas are the exact same maps repeated over and over again, Lloyd's moveset is a clone of Cervante's, and all of the characters all completely one-dimensional and boring, with a story that's absolutely cliche with to twists or intrigue at all.

I'd advise against this game, even for 20 dollars. You can rent it and see all there is to see in a weekend.

What I meant was, Lloyd and Cervantes have the same pose and fighting style. Just because Lloyd doesn't teleport or use guns does not mean the pose and style is not the same. I wasn't saying he was a carbon copy. =P

Lloyd is similar to Cervantes in the same effect that custom characters in SC3 are to certain characters...for example, custom ninjas characters fight identically to Taki, pose and all.

It's razing pheonix. the downward slash isn't the focus of the move; the final upward one is. I would'nt characterize that as a Rising phoenix. Although it's similar.

Actually, he DOES have Rising Phoenix as a Hidden move. If you used Rising Falcon for a total amount of 200 times and you have a fire weapon equipped, He will STILL say ''Rising Falcon'', but the skill name shown at the upper edge on the screen will be Rising Phoenix and the attack itself looks like a fire attack, dealing Tons of damage.

For some of his attacks/artes, the English Voice Actor does not yell the name.

However, change the Audio Speech in the Options menu to Japanese, and Lloyd sounds much better, as he yells the name for each arte, such as Shishisenkou, Shunjinken, and Kogahazan/Kogarenzan.

When you use the "ranged attacks", he yells Majinken, and if you continue it, he yells "Majinken Souga", and after another continuation, he yells "Majinken Rengazan".

I never played Tos or the so called sequel, yet Tos-2 to me the main cast looks like overgrown cos-players who need to find an different hobbies.

Maybe that was because I liked them in there smaller liker versions, but yea.

That's the thing I have about games going on to another new platform, producers seem to concentrate on the "Graphics" more then the quality and leave out the roots of what made the first game so damn great.

Resident Evil 5 is an good example, RE 2 was much better.
