Last time I saw this place was over 50 years ago. At night, Shrivers was never crowded. We used to get taffy as well as chocolate&vanilla fudge with black walnuts. At night it was a magical world. Exciting, yet civilized. Thanks for posting.

this is funny because i live 10 mins away and it's an absolute dump in the winter can hardly get there in the summer and i still have to question why anybody would spend millions for a beach house in oc when for a 10th of the cost you can have a house in the Caribbean on a real beach and you can use it all year round just saying

I go to OC every year. Love it! My daughter and I will sometimes take our bikes and ride on the boardwalk. BTW Mack and Manco's is sooooo overrated.

I'm gonna be 19 next week... All but one summer of my life, I go there, and it's always the highlight of my summer. Bring along a friend or two, stroll the boardwalk, relax on the beach... It's snowing bigtime here on the east coast now, but I know that in 6 months I'll find my way back! Thanks for this... It's nice to see it again.
