This one doesn't work on nhl11 but I know one that does... Go up to the net slowly almost to the end of the crease and stop there (don't get to close or goalie will poke check the puck) then hold the left trigger (ps3 holds L1) then move slightly to the right I the shooter is a lefty if he is a righty move slightly to the left, your player should then be standing sideways, then still holding left trigger, wind up as far as you can for a wrist shot, aim for far side top corner, works every singl

MANNNNN... its so easy to get goals in that game.. use a left handed shot and do the toe drag across the centre of the ice at about the top of the face off circles, shoot top blocker it will go in about 9-10 times if u have a 90+....7-10 times like 85+ and anything else is like a 4-10 chance... if u shoot it threw a oppenents leg thou its almost always in as long as u hit the net doesnt matter the skill level.

There is a defined difference between 'outsmarting the AI' and 'glitching'.

The basic definition of a 'glitch' is using an aspect of the game that wasn't intended to be involved in the final project against anything (including, but not limited to AI).

This isn't a glitch because it WAS intended to be in the finished product.

It's really annoying because I tried it once in Be a Pro and I couldn't do it, so I gave up and went back to just aiming at the 2 hole.

If you know how to do it, it does work every time.. And 99% of people who do it dont just do it when a chance presents itself, they skate around in the corner in circles continuously and try to force it over and over. Nobody scores 6-9 goals every game, if you really play legit realistic hockey youll be lucky to score 4 without an empty netter. But people are so obsessed with climbing the rigged leaderboards that they dont care about cheating as long as they win

Well in Be a Pro (offline) I DO cheat (I put shot speed and accuracy to the far right of the slider) and I just keep aiming at the 2 hole. One game my team (Red Wings at that stage before I got traded) won it was 18-2 and I scored 16 if those with 2 assists (Oh, I also set it so there were no line changes. So I got 60 minutes worth of a penalty-less game whilst everyone other than the people on my line got nothing)

Well i wont give you crap for cheating on single player because it doesnt affect anyone else. Personally i just dont have any fun when i win 18-2 and score 16 of the same goal in a game. Id rather lose a game than use cheap goals to stay in it and win, but thats just me

I found it fun because I was getting a hell of a lot of experience (and I was able to upgrade shortcomings in my player very quickly).

He's a sniper with 99 slapshot speed, accuracy, and wrist shot speed, 98 checking, and 85 toughness, but low for everything else...

AND i always top the NHL top 5 highest scorers and make it to the all star game!

Yeah its nice to be #1 in the rankings of course but idk. I dont get any sense of accomplishment at all if i cheated to get to the #1 spot.

If i bust my ass for a few seasons playing realistically, maybe score 30-40 goals a season and work my way to the top by actual skill, then i deserve to be #1 :)

lol? I never feel any accomplishment in that game because it's just a game. Although I detest cheating I find that the way I play (with a few things maxed out) it is almost impossible to let my goalie to get a shutout game because it's just so easy for both teams to score.

And its well beyond me how that is even fun. Even in 10 its the same pattern, they play legit in the 1st and if its tied or they are losing its all out glitches. And if that doesn't work they simply just quit and try it again. My favorite line is "I bought hockey to play hockey, not stop the cheater". And its amazing how serious some kids take the game.

It is a glitch/cheat... its not something you would see in an NHL game.. and the goalie cant save it because the game code does not position the goalie properly.

on xbox 360 just hold the left trigger as you approach the goal, when you're close enough to the goal your guy will begin to turn, then fire it on the left if the skater is lefty and on the right if the skater is righty, make sure you don't aim it too high, i found that aiming it at about the middle works best

for the last time this is not a glitch or a cheat.all you do for the xbox is press the button you use to skate backwords(for me it is left trigger)and when you reach the hash marks he will skate backwords.
