my friend, nice tutorial, I have a question, I'm a bit confused on the use of the line mixer, is it connected at all to the 14:2 mixer, and why use both?
Dude, you are a fucking beast in tutorials, always fun to watch them even though they aren't even about my type of music. Can you ever do a tutorial on sampled hip hop? Like K. West, Ant (Atmosphere) and alot of them famous hip-hop producers make?
Dave, question... I'm deviating a bit and using kong for my drums in this tutorial... but I can't figure out how to map the individual pads to the spider splitter like is possible with redrum... any suggestions? I'm probably just missing something really easy, but I'm a scrub.

nice vid and info. I am about a 8 months into propellerhead programs. I love it. I didn't get a chance to rewire things you were doing in this vid. But so far as i connect devices together and add on. My sounds seems pretty cool. I could just imagine soon as i really learned all the rewire thing goes. Man i probably be something else. I never used the spider or a few other devices. Peace
My man. Your videos are some of the best I have seen on the net. I make some nice beats myself but don't know how to route things like that. Thanks to you I can create so many different textures than before. Thank you so much!
Dave, awesome tutorial and can't wait for the next 6 days!

rayjoon 2 years ago
If you feel it needs to be a bit punchier, add some compression :) Simple as.
I wanted the snares to punch as hard as possible, whereas the kicks I wanted to keep as a hypnotic, driving undertone.
Glad you've found the tutorials useful! :D

I think it can be made with an 808 drum machine, I've always used samples of it, but you could synthesize something similar.
