  • I have Bach the complete works played by Andre Isoir. He is something special. If you can't afford the whole 15 Vol set, then this is the pick of the bunch. A fantastic record that no Bach or organ enthusiast should miss.

Just re released 28 June 2010

    TITLE:

    Bach - 5 Grands Preludes & Fugues

    ARTIST:

    Andre Isoir (organ)

    LABEL:

    Calliope

    CAT NO:

    CAL5712.

  • Nice, but too slow, especially the fugue...

  • This man is amazing.

  • For all those who are watching, there is a manual hidden under the music rack. So eventhough it looks like if the organ has four manuals, it really has five.

  • @Streetcar1743 Allow me to disagree with you. The organ has 4 Manuals. What you confused with 5th Manual is actually the reflection of the 4th manual on the lower part of the music rack.

  • @Ntalikeris666 Oh I see. I guess with the reflection and some of the light on the music rack mounts does make it look that if it does have 5 when it really has 4. I do love the mechanical coupling. The organ console itself seems to be on a bridge. But its nice history in organ music. It's something you don't see with modern church building.

  • @Streetcar1743 This organ is a masterpiece.

  • I'm used to Piet Klee's much faster interpretation, but I find this slower version equally beautiful.
