  • Id come play online with you but.....Il be busy getting laid, have fun with your game :)

  • Had to say... wearing sunglasses indoors with the blinds shut

  • yea, was bummed at lack of actual campaign too

  • The main use of diplomacy while playing with other humans is the pacts, massively increasing various stats for both players. My housemates an I love diplomacy, particularly for the advent actually, increased strike craft numbers make all advent players over powered. For the Unity! Heh.

  • whats that song in the end?

  • RvB represent!!

  • I am getting it, I am going to be playing Single player.

But I want to know how big is the game area? Cuz if there is only three factions (not including the priates) then it must not be massive?

Will defo get the Star Wars mod, I love the empire. and it adds two other Factions too the already three?

  • @HolyShadow180 Dont worry the game areas are very customizable, from tiny to enormous. There can be up to 8 teams, just with the three races to pick from.

  • @palpatine117 Played it today its not bad could be better. But........ok

Would be good to have more factions I guess.

  • Lose the suit and the glasses......

  • You live in a storage shed?

  • Bad vid

  • nerd alert

  • how much gigs all up for this plus patches

  • your words are like plain yogurt and sweet granola

  • There are also at least 7 (worth playing) mods that are released (still WIP) for Sins and several others still in development. You'd have to check the Sin's forums to see them, not Modsdb. Throughout most of the summer, many of the long standing issues of the game has been addressed and improved upon by major updates. It's actually pretty hard to make the core game crash now. With Rebellion around the corner (maybe start of next year) the game is only set to grow the much more.

  • As somebody who has been playing Sins since it came out in '08, and have played through hundreds of matches over the years (with my LAN buddies) and have done modding of my own, I will say that some parts of your review are right and others are wrong. The AI will adapt to your offenses. They are not linked to "one role". That only dictates their behavior in the start. The only downside is the 2 gig limit which has been better via mods and recent updates. Game is epic 4x strategy aside that.

  • Liked the review, just felt like I had to kind of jump to Diplomacy's defense. As someone who doesn't have a lot(or any, really. Want some.) Sins-playing friends to play with, I like the improved AI and diplomacy options. I completely understand that it would not come up in multiplayer, but for singleplayers it adds a bit more of the diplomatic side of 4X into Sins. But still, you're right for saying it doesn't make that much of a difference in MP.

  • @spammyv Hey I would be more then willing to be a sins-playing friend, with rebellion still on the way I want to get back in; plus I would really like to finally have someone to really play diplomacy with online just to try it out more. And yeah I can totally agree it adds a lot more to the singleplayer then multiplayer

  • Nice review, i gotta say i enjoy sins probably as much as you do but at the same time i feel it`s necessary to point out where it`s lacking. You managed to do this perfectly and i don`t think i could`ve done a better review myself. Mentioning mods in a review is untraditional but i gotta say i enjoyed it as i enjoy mods a lot.

  • @PsiTaylor1337 Glad to hear you liked the review! Whenever I review a PC game I always try to mention mods, because they can really make a game better. Plus it's something that console games cannot do, so I try to incorporate every aspect of the game into the reveiw

  • Not to knock on you, but, the ships do take damage, and it shows. There are like punctures in the hulls, fires, and all that jazz. Little lightning bits. Not sure if its your settings but, yeah they're there. Thanks for the review though, passed it along to my friends to show them what I was talking about.

  • @mbe102 I do know what you're talking about, and I guess I wasn't specific enough. I was thinking more along the lines of a game called Star Wars Empire at War where the ships would have pieces explode and fall off. But yes there are some effects on the ships, I was just thinking a bit more along the lines of obviously visible structural damage

  • @palpatine117 ahh a good contrast to make tho :D

  • @palpatine117 I think what you are looking for is that there are no destructible hardpoints. You can only target the ship's hull, not individual shield generators or laser canons. Also no offense but your strategies and analysis could use more research, TEC has a great rush game but limited late game options (not that it matters with AI), have the strongest hull and armor in the game and weak shields, etc. Still a good review though, and as a Requiem developer I thank you for the recommendation.

  • @GoaFan77 "A Requiem dev commented on my reveiw, WOW!" Sorry had to get that out there. Anyway, I don't think that's what I was going for, but re-reading my script I can't think of what I was trying to say. Also, with the strategies I didn't say about the rushing because I only really play on big maps where it isn't much of an option.

  • yeah, a campaign is neccesary.. hopefully a future addition will bring that.

  • *Necessary*

  • Nice review!

  • The Star Trek Mod is the best
