i made a mistake wit it today i had a full bottle and i was crawling around for a drill and i must not of turned it on all the way and loss air at 30psi
skipping over alot she should pull that cylinder out inspect verify the hydro stat test checkk the harnes frame asselmbly low high pressure hoses examine the mask closely make sure all valve work make sure she has positve pressure in the mask
@OUgrizzlywrstlr09 This was a very mean comment to someone who volunteers her service to help others. No matter what gender, race, or age, the people who risk their lives are due respect.
Okay well all im saying is....... IF you fuck up on checkin you're air, u best hope u got the best R.I.T. team in the state to come save ur srry ass!!!!! Btw, STAY SAFE!!!!!!!!!
Decent video and thank you but a few things I think might help out: you should check the purge before you take the air in...so you don't get any unwanted dirt sucked in, you want to do a 1/4 turn back from the valve being opened all the way and you should donn everything with your gloves on for good practice. Just key things I've learned over the years.
@BlueJFilms .You should swing over one shoulder to the other and NOT over your head. If you've done some RIT training you would see that if you were in a confined spaced and needed to remove your airpack and then put it back on it would be impossible to swing it over your head.
@Whammer79 This is an excellent method for donning your pack. It puts all the straps in the right place the first time. It's obviously not for confined spaces, but much quicker when donning in this situation.
@BlueJFilms I've been a fire fighter for 16 years and have never been taught, taught or even seen anyone do the over the head method with the helmet on. Don't see how that would work out very well anyway.
thanks 4 all u guys do what would we do with out u

@OUgrizzlywrstlr09 I guess I didn't see anything wrong with this. I would love to have the new pack with the snap in air bottle.

We are taught to always do that in case it slips or a buckle smacks your noggen. I guess were more conservative here in san Diego.

Did I see the pack thrown over the head method with no helmet on???? That's 15 push ups!!!!! Naughty naughty!

@Trukie79 What is the thought process behind having a helmet on? We were never taught to keep the helmet on.
