Thats the evening Maceo Parker and Russell Thomkins of the Stylistics were with the band, also the reason the band sounds good is cause they are the Mighty Saints of Soul now its Jim Heidenreich on drums and vocals, Johnnie Byrd on bass and vocals, and Randy Hignite on keyboards and vocals! Jackie Gore is still Awesome.

I shagged many a night listening to Jackie Gore when he was lead singer with the Embers. He IS beach music.

Man, it has been a LONG time since I've remembered the Jackie Gore & The Embers. I partied a many nights with the gang, even had a New Year's Eve while Larue & I danced table tops at the Landmark! It would be great to hear some music of this quality again!

Here, here! Saw " The Embers" also on 07/03/07 and they were okay for the event, but wouldn;t pay money to se them. No one can EVER replace Jackie Gore as lead singer, EVER!!!!

Love Jackie Gore..saw the new Embers July 3rd...they are a good band..they're just not the Embers...should change their name to "The Ashes" or "The Flames."

Jackie will always be "The Embers" to me. I've seen them several times since he left and it's just not the same.
