their rms is really low...not sure about these woofers but the 1300 watt subs rms is like 330 to 350 or something. u dont need a big amp at all to run them...I wouldnt try running a thousand to them but thats me.
if money is a issue you can get flat cone dhd subs for about 54 bucks a piece ot the internet and they are alot better. check them out , just google dhd ntx6812 power cruisers. i had 2 and just blew them after about 5 years of abuse.they are great subs for the money and hit hard as hell, clean sound too.

subs in sealed boxes arent usually as loud as ported but the subs will often flex more causing more bass to be produced, unless u buy the right kind of ported box.
when it comes to house speakers porting in the back is usually a lot better then porting to the front.
nice setup man ive got the red p5s in a bandpass box with only a 600watt amp i had other subs and these subs hands down have impressed me alot. sony explodes are not shit at all
