Same happen to me I use to play with girls stuff. I loved to go to my cousin's house and play with its dolls. In my house I took clothes and make it look like dolls so I can be able to play. I also played with my mom's clothes and jewelry...In school I want to participate on things that the teacher's choose girls to do. etc etc
I do not understand much of the text, but the mother scolding the kid for wearing a dress is very instructive what this is all about. Being scolded just for being a boy? uhhh! Who would not then want to be a girl :-)
I think this man in question is most selfish, esp he knew since young he wanted to be a female. Why did he marry her n had a child with her in the 1st place? His marriage seemed more for convenience to cover up his confused identity n perhaps to please his parents. Why create a family to be abandoned n suffer when he alone (while as a bachelor) could have chosen to live overseas where the society is more receptive to transexuals? He would have earned more respect. He's such a selfish bastard!
Sure, "he" faced difficulty of "his" transition, but that's an absolutely lame excuse! To hide "his" confused state of mind behind a normal marriage life till "he" feels it's time for "him" to walk out to truly live a life as a female speaks volume of what a selfish, insensitive and pathetic soul "he" is! Everyone has a dream but it's senesless if it has to be fulfilled at the expense of someone's suffering, in this case, "his" wife and child. My thoughts are based on this case in question.
lol... like fckaw mentioned, its the general perception about late onset ts. moreover, the documentary didn't tell the full story about "denise", her wife and daughter. you only saw what is shown.
I don't believe I form "general perception" about the late onset ts just like that. Like Ive mentioned, yes, Im voicing my thoughts on this particular case shown here which reflects enough of a beings selfish, insensitive and pathetic side. If anything, my heart goes to the poor wife and child on their painful struggle with his ultimate decision.
Hi Daniel and Rose, it's a pity that no one alerted me to the broadcast of this groundbreaking programme on SiGNeL, or else I would have recorded it too. Could you kindly tell me the exact date on which it was telecast on Channel 5? Thanks.
4:09: Kids often understand better than adults because they're not so affected by social conditioning yet.
It is tragic that such circumstances arise out of society ignorantly forcing people to be who they are not, and yet society then blames those very victims. Its a crying shame.

It's his choice. but he shouldn't have gotten married if he was unsure of his sexual identity.

Thank god that was not me! Its the wife and kid I feel sorry for!!
If he knew he was transgender he should have not get her pregnant or married her for crying out loud!!

It takes more then just words to really understand the difficulty of her transition and the reason behind.
Yours is the general perception about late onset TS.
