  • LOL

    omg...

  • Go get'em Australia! I like how they pronounce Myth as Meeth.

  • she is actually a kiwi, thats how they pronounce it.

  • lol

  • drink it, share it, FEEl Acai

  • I agree with keithjas there is one word to describe how rudd Won "propaganda"

  • Still get a chuckle out of this brilliant editing!

  • That's the L-aaw

  • Howard is gone. WorkChoices is gone. Brendon Nelson, Howard's successor, has an approval rating of 7%. Everyone except Brendon Nelson, reckons he is gone as well. I will sleep well tonight!

  • Dear Kelly from the Workchoices info line, I hope you get run over and your daughter dies of a heroin overdose.

  • she's an actor you dickhead

  • Did you work that out all by yourself?

  • Great editing. Very funny.

  • LOL ROFLMAO I'm pissing myself laughing at this add It's like Tony Abbot admitting that workplaces don't really help working families

  • Irrelevant unions. They've done nothing for me, and i'm doing quite alright. All they do is constantly play the victim card on their members to keep them in the shit and in their pockets.

These IR laws have changed NOTHING for me, I don't see what everyone's sooking about.

  • they've done nothing for you LOL!!!.

you've never had a days paid sick leave or paid holiday leave, or worked an 8 hour day LOL.

read some history they got us all those rights and are fighting to keep those rights for us

  • Have a look at working condition in the 1890s before the union movement got rolling. Every benefit ever accrued to Australian workers, white collar as well as labourers, was won by Trades Unions. Do you honestly think that things like annual leave, sick pay, workers compensation, 40 hour weeks, overtime pay and so on were the ideas of benevolent employers. Not likely! read some history.

  • 1890? Sorry, it's 2007 and we don't need the same solutions of the problems we had over 100 years ago.

It had its time and place and now it's time for them to move on. No longer needed. And now that we live in a world that is a lot smaller, how do we compete with unions asking for more and more?

The only reason why they exist is because the encourage people to be victims of the "capitalist oppressor" just so they can be pawns for their political games.

  • Slightly to the right of Dick Cheney, are we?

  • Do you honestly think that things like annual leave, sick pay, workers compensation, 40 hour weeks, overtime pay and so on will survive in a global market? If i was an investor, i'd sooner put my money in Chinese factory than an Australian one. How do we stay competitive? What's the point of all these 'entitlements' when we run out of jobs?

  • Whats the point of breathing if we are all slaves? It's called quality of life! We need to strike a balance, whats ur occupation? I think you would look good in a manufacturing warehouse, fill this quota an hour? Toilet breaks hahahaha no we need to stay competitive man comeon, what u want holidays? Human rights, i dont think so we need to make more money!!! I will agree with u if u agree to be in the same situation as millions of others will be! I doubt u would!

  • zo1dberg, just because you believe the new IR laws changed nothing for you, doesn't mean they haven't, or will not, change anything for anyone else.

You do not equal the entire Australian workforce, and your personal experiences do not necessarily reflect that of others.

Clearly your frame of reference is so narrow you don't even release the role the unions had in forging the kind of workplace standards we have today, as mattbourke has pointed out for you.

  • Can't believe I typed 'release' instead of 'realise'. :/

  • "You do not equal the entire Australian workforce".

Of course not - but i'm involved in one of the best industries in the world for both employer and employee - all without union involvement. If only other industries shared the same experience.

  • "You do not equal the entire Australian workforce"

I also don't believe that the anti workchoices ads the unions have put up to win the election for Labor are representative of anything but a minority of the population. All fear mongering and victim tactics to line the pockets of union bosses. Just like a sick religion.

I just hope the Ruddstar doesn't pay back the unions for their efforts and instead concentrates on the national interest like he says he will.

  • The new laws have not affected me but I mustday some employees do get protection from irrisponsible employers whom act unfairly to employees I have not been in that situation you and I am lucky

  • "you and I am lucky"

True - I am lucky I'm in an industry that's not affected by unions - and it's really really prosperous for everyone and no one encourages anyone to be a victim.

What we need is more jobs - so that if some asshole boss decides to be a prick, you can leave and walk into another job the very next day. No winging required, no union to "look after me" 'cause they want me to be too meek to look after myself. Just choice.

  • Fine if getting a job was that easy. Say you had a job that had only one employer, and that employer did the wrong thing without breaking the law, what do you do? I has one of those Police it was the only employer in the state for that kind of work. They are good for some ppl maybe not you. I am not in one now eventhough my work place has a strong presence.

  • You can't use the Police (or fire brigade for that matter) as an example - they are pretty much an exception to the rule.

  • fuck u lol KEVIN 07 woot! CONGRATS KEVIN AND TEAM!

  • "fuck u lol KEVIN 07 woot! CONGRATS KEVIN AND TEAM!"

Fuck you too! And all the best to Kevin Rudd. I hope he's not a pussy.

  • lol so what if he is? Politics isnt about brawn its about skill. Yay Howard supporters are a minority now lets harass them like they did to us socialists back in the Howard days.

  • "lol so what if he is?"

Well, I don't want a pussy as the PM of this great nation, I want a leader.

You're a socialist? Sorry buddy, i think you'll find that you're the one more prone to harassing others for having political views that don't match yours.

  • lol yeah the corporate boys are innocent arnt they? do commies still knock at ur door and throw things at ur house? lol im not a commie and im sure urv never been harassed by any so i think ur a standard upset liberal spewing out outdated rhetoric lol have a nice day, oh btw "Well, I don't want a pussy as the PM of this great nation, I want a leader." um didnt i say "Politics isnt about brawn its about skill.", how about u move to a country ruled by a muscle man, say Pakistan for example rofl

  • lol lol rofl lol. Tool.

If Rudd is a pussy, he wont stand a chance against the unions and they'll run the country instead of our elected leader.

  • Lol jeeze u can tell your not actually involved in politics, i tell u this, nothing much will change under labor and the unions will still be kept on a short leash as Rudd and the team (excluding Gillard) are more like Englands "New Labor" then the Labor of the 80's

  • "nothing much will change under labor"

Oh really? Well, i guess we can all go to sleep then hey? The unions spent a lot of money on their anti IR reform adverts - something tells me they'll want something in return.

    lol rofl.

  • Your right but, despite all the hoo-ha made about these laws, they don't effect many people. All up, these laws have effected 100,000 people in Australia. Sounds alot, but consider that there are 10,000,000 people working in Australia. These laws that won Rudd the election effect 1% of the working population

  • I know many many people affected by AWA's (1% my arse), most of them the young, so I would like to know where u pulled your figures from besides ur imagination (or some Liberal BS i want to see independant statistics), ur one of those Australians that argues "well it dont affect me so fuck em" wow what a sport u are, these laws are immoral and just because they dont affect everyone doesnt mean its ok for them to exist

  • "these laws are immoral". You know what's immoral? Having do-gooders implement these laws that "protect the workers" in the first place. They have done nothing but harm workers and enriched the unions. Unions and their "accomplishments" are like cigarettes - we need to ween ourselves off them.

  • lol I could list the union achievements but won't because truth is I am not a big unionist, simple fact is the Union stands as a balancing force against business running rampart destroying the workers rights such as overtime etc WHICH WAS HAPPENING UNDER AWA'S u cannot dispute fact! They both need to exist to strike a balance, and as for "Having do-gooders implement these laws that "protect the workers" in the first place" lol wtf dude, how have they harmed workers?

  • Here's a simple example - the minimum wage.

If the minimum wage was set to, say, $10/hour, you're basically telling employers that it would be illegal to employ someone who is worth, say, $8/hour.

So those laws pretty much say that it's ILLEGAL to hire a young bloke trying to start out in life if he's not worth the minimum wage. Way to go big government/big union power!

  • BULLSHIIIIIT!!! CHECK YOUR FACTS DUDE!!! Anyone under the age of 18 can be paid $5 and higher as they are classed as junior haha lol caaaching 10 points to me woot and anyone over the age of 18 deserves $10 an hour, simple fact is they have adult responsibilitys like the law treating them as adults so they should be paid as such. Try again dude.

  • What an idiot. I was using a simple example to illustrate a point and all you can do is tell me my figures are wrong to prove what exactly?

You're just trolling anyway. I'll let you win and have the last say - you deserve it!

  • Thank you, i do deserve it hehe if i am "trolling away" wtf did u use "Here's a simple example - the minimum wage." as an example when it cant be an example as it hasnt happend sooooo your comment that "They have done nothing but harm workers and enriched the unions." is BULLSHIT lol woot Kevin 07! Liberals out! haha and i win! XD

  • Hooray for Zo1dberg!

  • God help us if this is a typical Labor supporter. Kevin would be ashamed of you.

  • I have no idea what you're saying, use English please.

  • Heard those numbers on the news bud. Correct Channel Nine, not me.

And its just my opinion that the laws are silly. And they don't effect me because I'm a good employee. Bosses don't go round randomly sacking people because they feel like it. They sack people because theyre rubbish employees. These laws mean that if you're rubbish, you don't have anyone to protect you, which in my opinion is a good thing. Don't want to be sacked? Then be good at the job your getting paid to do. Simple.

  • how naive, you seriously think bosses only sack people because they are not good at their jobs? What about cost cutting at the expense of good workers, it all boils down to greed and thats why the majority of people hate AWA's and AWA supporters are in contractor industrys, are the business owners or havnt expieranced one yet so have no real idea. (Oh btw I was on an AWA so I actually am speaking from first hand expierance and I was classed as a "good worker", I would class my boss as "cheap")

  • Hmm yeah it's a fair point. They can be sucky for lower workers in big businesses. And your right, I work freelance so that's why I have those opinions. I do think but that the laws were good for small business owners, cos they're some of the hardest workers in the country. And I think it was good that it was easy for them to fire sucky workers and not have to worry about 3 warnings and stuff. But yes, I don't agree with sacking workers just because of cost cutting.

  • Agreed in small business it is a pain the whole 3 warnings thing, but outside of the citys in rural areas the majority of businesses are small business meaning that most the population outside the city are working for them and are not protected. So maybe AWA's need to go and a code of business ethics needs to be brought in to protect both sides.

  • Yeah a balance must be struck, but as the first poster said, firing disruptive or 'sucky' employees can be very difficult, and potentially crippling for the often financially precarious small business world.

  • Stupid small employers are greedy pricks they want everything cheap so that have loooootttts of money ,wells heres a goody for the stupid bastards ,when workers have money problems they stop uneccesary spending ,no more renting dvds ,no pizza once a week etc etc ,you get the point ,the liberals are so fucking off with the pixies they deserved what they got .

Workers got no moeny small buisness gets the arse .

  • "These laws that won Rudd the election effect 1% of the working population"

Indeed. Talk about a squeaky wheel - the unions won the election for Rudd. I hope he does put the nation's interest in front of the unions and this stupid Kyoto fallacy.

  • This is bloody brilliant!

  • OWNAGE!!!

  • Howard's big problem is IR: industrial relations, IRaq, Interest Rates, Indiginous Response, International Relations, ignoring responsibilities...

    HowardHater DOT com

  • jackie kelley

  • Bloody witty post. Well done.

  • 'Holidays' union

    'overtime' union

    'sick leave' union

    'inoccent lives lost' Howard

    'High fuel price' Howard

    'Low pay rate' Howard

  • You no nothing

  • wow nice come back, how about disputing with an arguement rather then a remark? maybe u KNOW (not no lol) nothing

  • AHAHHAHA amazing job!

  • The only reason to fire someone is because someone else can do the job better and workplace agreements favour those people.

If your getting pay cuts OR fired... maybe you should take a look at yourself rather than complaining.

  • Its silly 2 make a correct statement, then back it up with false evidence. If ur going to say that WorkChoices sucks, there r plenty of facts u can use.

1.) Employers can NOT LAWFULLY force an existing employee to sign an AWA...But some will try anyway!

2.) They can NOT LAWFULLY "take all your penalty rates away"

But plenty r doing it anyway!

3.) Sacking any1 for an unlawful reason can be done, but it is still UNLAWFUL.

See? The truth works better! Do ur research!

  • brilliant

  • Everyone I know has hated Howard for the last five years.

  • lmfao

  • fact: ur fuct

  • yeah i got sacked because of those bloody new workplace laws, and 3 months before, they gave me a 20 cent payrise, thats right 20 cent

  • So true... a friend of mine was sacked for taking sickleave for an injury she got at work. Fewer than 100 employees? You can treat them however you like.

  • "Operational reasons" - Anything you want it to be.

  • YES...I have been employed on a 'casual' basis for too long now..you are at the mercy of your employer, and most (but not all) will take advantage of WORKCHOICES and screw you in the ground..sadly that's human nature..WORKCHOICES is creating stress, depression and sickness amongst working Australians placing a burden on our health system..how is that good for the economy Costello? For a fairer Australia give HOWARD the ass!

  • Howard did not need to change the IR system. What happened to the 30 hour week that we fought so hard and so long to get.

  • Yep, MS85ToyotaCrown, you're alright now Jack. Yep, you're alright Jack. Have you been sick yet? Pregnant? Enjoy your good fortune while it lasts because your turn is coming.

  • So true

  • hahaha thats bloody brilliant

  • hahahahhahahahahah!!!! really good!!! you should work for the chasers!!!

  • Awesome work and unfortunately it's not far from thruth at all!

  • Kevin bring with glorious power and take Howard to electorite battle win. Most high in thoughts we unite for Education Revolution

  • At work they through out this WRS and they pay us what we are worth which is mostly 50%over the award rate, I then get 8 weeks holidays a year and all the overtime I'm able to work.

  • your very well off then arent you. :D

  • Sure, the IR laws are fine for some Employers who are for justice and equality. The fact is there are many who are more than willing to exploit workers

  • well edited

  • hahahahah

  • Fucking brilliant!

  • lol

No it cant be like that can it?

    Can it?

    No....

  • That was awesome.

    Good work :)

  • too bad your all full of shit

  • hotz694, suffers from cranky outlook and lack of humour, and has spelling issues that indicates education failures but decrepit leader Howard will assist lower education failures with all new tech colleges for working class. (smile!)

  • Well if NSW labor hasnt swayed you i dont know what will.

  • someones got their rags. Heh.

  • Brilliant, keep sticking it to all of them.

  • YES!

  • Brilliant

  • it was well put together but still pretty lame like those ads labour had before everyone found out those people were lying or whatever

  • Lol

    love ya work hmatkin.

  • thats actually pretty slick.

  • Great clip.

So, Brittle Johnny Howard screws us with his IR laws, then he creates an ad campaign telling us how to protect ourselves....from his IR laws....hmmmm.

  • excellent point about the temporary nature of post-it notes, couchshow! Love the re-mix, Hugh! Great work altogether :)

  • Gun : D

  • Top job - I'd just change the end graphic to "Nowhere you stand"

The fact that all these "facts" are written on post-it notes is just begging to have something said about it as well. I've been trying to work out what for ages but just haven't come up with the language for it yet - the basic gist is that anything written on a post-it note is very temporary and easy to change or remove quickly (and it's put together in a slap-dash manner I guess)

    Awesome work.

  • That is so funny - well done

  • dont know how true it is, but that was excellently done

  • Can this be true? From 'The Age':

"A landmark study has examined every new collective agreement in those two industries in the first nine months of the law last year and found most removed penalty rates and overtime, increased managerial power and gave inadequate compensation."

  • how did you get the ad off the tele onto the computer?

  • The ads are all up on the workplace authority website in files of variable quality.

  • that rocks!!!

  • props.

  • This video is solid 24carat Gold!!! Fact.

  • huggie, amazing.
