Not exactly. Its all about being a connected sleazebag in our corrupted system. There are convicted pedos who live quite peaceful and accomplished lives- they have connections. OTOH, if you are 'inconvienient' to the corrupt system, you can be smeared,blacklisted or even framed and have your life destroyed.
